You can spend ages looking through the Pathfinder SRD going "what's that then, never seen that before...ooooh, that would have been really handy..." And that's not even counting the the 3rd party stuff.
While we're having this conversation, does anyone know of a feat/archetype that would make a knifethrower any use before about 11th level?

Caedmon The Hunter |

I think a Scout Rogue can by around level 8.
A Fighter with TWF & Rapid Shot and such can do it pretty nicely. Quick Draw and a Blink Back Belt and now you can use 2 Daggers for everything. No waste on the Returning Property. Pick up Piranha Strike for Melee.
I had a massive list of ways to do this build before as I wanted to play that concept. So far I have found that a Fighter who focused on DEX and used Weapon Finesse and Piranha Strike for melee was perfect for making it early on. Not quite optimal but pretty nice.
I used the Two-Weapon Warrior Archetype for it. The figures I got are shocking. Especially if allowed to use Vital Strike with Double Strike.
Remember that I am a Martials should get shiny things as well kinda GM. But the Math is sound in either instance.

Caedmon The Hunter |

A +5 Weapon By-passes nearly all DR.
+3 defeats Cold Iron & Silver
+4 defeats Adamantine
+5 defeats Alignment based
Then you just need 2 Thrown Slashing & Bludgeoning Weapons.
With the right choices you will be almost as good with your Axes/Hammers as you are your Daggers.
Thrown Weapon Group has a lot of options.

Wheatbeard |

I've always wanted to make a thrown weapons combatant, but I can't seem to make it viable (read: not broken, just workable) without playing sudoku with the mechanics.
Again, if chosen, I will complete Wheatbeard's fluff inventory to match his current location. At his cave, he has a small stockpile of foodstuff. Were he in the human village, he'd bring anything of middle value for trade (fresh game, fur, etc.). If he if out in the wilderness hunting, well ... you get the point!

RECRUITMENT CLOSED
Thank you all for your submissions. It has been a (pleasant) difficulty to narrow the 15 candidates down to a party of 6 (which is still one larger than I had envisioned). It was particularly hard deciding between the various rangers and druids. Apologies if your character has not been chosen.
The party will be required to check back with what passes for civilization occasionally, so there will be a 'reserve list' for casualties, dropouts etc. Please state here if you wish your character to be on the reserve list.
That said, will the following please report to the discussion thread which will be up momentarily (it's there now):
Wheatbeard, the unlikely chosen champion of the nature spirits.
Bonewright, who carves the secrets of the past on the bones of the fallen.
Asheru, who hears the whispers of the ancestors, and is the vessel of their rage.
Tupilek, death dealer atop a charging mass of fur and fury.
Caedmon, embittered champion, abandoned by all, cursed by elven blood.
Moklik, who lets the power of the wild flow through him in battle.

5 of our 6 players have checked in. The Oracle player is maintaining radio silence.
As a backup, if anyone has a non-druid divine caster already statted up that they want to slap some suitable fluff onto, you may get a game.
Reskinning my elf as a cleric, I'll post again when done.

*Resurrects thread*
Because of posting difficulties, I have asked one player to withdraw. Therefore, I am looking for a new player to adopt their character for the moment. Once the group makes it back to 'base camp', you can continue with the current character, or swap in a new character of your own, as you choose.
The character in question is a 2nd Level Oracle (Ancestor Mystery).
Please post here if you are interested. You don't have to submit a new character yet. If you have some characters in other games that I can look at in order to assess your writing style, that would be good. Also, I need to know that you can keep up with the posting rate (1/weekday).

I would love a chance at playing this oracle. I think it's a fantastic character concept, and this setting is incredible.
Let me first assuage some of the fears that no doubt are coming up:
1) This is my very first post on Paizo. I just recently became aware of these online campaign boards at Paizo. While I've played online PBP campaigns before and use Paizo constantly for pdfs, this area is new.
I have however, as stated above, been a part of online PBPs. Which is what lead me here. And until now I haven't been intrigued enough by one to bite.
2) The online community where I have been most active is RPG Crossing. I am currently participating in a Pathfinder PBP there that you may lurk for a concept of my writing. Character is Darrius (played by kdtompos, same username as here). I am also GMing a pathfinder variation in the same community, found here.
3) The current campaign (listed above) has not had many long stretches in the writing, and the campaign I'm running has only begun as well. For a more comprehensive view you can find a game I was a part of here as the character Cappi.
4) Finally, I was a part of a campaign for over 2 years called Lordships of Aldarius at Roleplaymarket. My character was Beyr Uluk'hai.
It sounds like I'm really trying to promote myself, and perhaps I am as I'm so intrigued by this setting. But I mainly want to deal with what I am certain are red flags with a first time poster!

Anthony Krast |

I pretty much have to throw my hat in the ring on this one, the attention to detail in the introduction post is what draws me to do so, more than the setting, although that part is intriguing as well.
Feel free to look at aliases. Also ive got a campaign on another website (on hold due to GM RL difficulties). It started with individual roleplay, leading into the PCs meeting, so plenty of room to do some writing there.

I'm currently reading through the campaign, which is extremely well depicted by all of the players as well. I can understand why you will need to maintain a certain level of writing. I'm trying to build a familiarity with the setting, characters, and especially Asheru. Let me know if there's something I could get together more specific to the character of Asheru that might shed light on whether I could contribute beneficially to this campaign.

Rotolutundro |

I'm interested.
I'm currently in this game as Matthias Valbrand, though I've only just joined it. The other pbp games I've been in were fairly short-lived:
A Broken World as Mokrim
Carrion Hill as Andrei Chernoslav (This game we actually finished in a short timespan!)
Seafarers of Golarion as Jonathan "Patch" Cullen
Mwangi Madness as Barker Valdane
