"Anyone want to check if metalgarg has shinies? I'ma support Longjohn here before he gets into more trouble. [stares up at megaBoB] Maybe you should wait before pushi....." [as the door opens]

BoB swings the door open to take a look at the room before him, but the lights have been completely put out. BoB and Askra hear nothing over the roar of the reactor, but catch a glint of metal in the darkness. Sparks shoot out from broken lights in the ceiling revealing twin cylindrical metal tubes attached to many wires and blinking lights. Light errupts from the tubes like a lightnighg strike, hitting BoB.

"What. The f+@+!", shouts Ladim as he sees BoB shunned by a turret, energy beams tearing apart synthetic flesh. He's one tough boy, isn't he..., he thinks, quickly drawing his Dancing Lights in the room.

"Cover me, son!", Ladim shouts, as he scans the area to find a control console, and running as fast as his short legs allow him to it, drawing his e-pick on the way.

If he manages to find a terminal:

Ladim dashes to the terminal, tearing open the interface screen with a short burst of arcane energy and jams his e-pick in there, speaking barely legible commands in Androffan. Work, work, work, work, WORK!

Disable Device: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25

Upon a terrifyingly unconvincing 'bliop' from the machine, he turns upwards to look at the lazer-spewing device. "Don't make me say please, you stupid machine!", he says, staring with covered eyes, waiting to see if it turns towards him or not.

If he doesn't manage to find a terminal:

Ladim looks around left and right, before deciding to dive under a table. "Alright, BoB, you're a big boy now, go and beat that thing into pieces!" I hope I can nick some stuff from the turret later, calibrator lazers are expensive. Reactor explosion. Right., Ladim thinks calmly in cover, looking at the others.

Ladim heroically runs into the room despite the danger, finding a terminal he opens it up and works quickly to disable to laser turret. He looks up at the gun after the machine 'blops'.

The chrome barrels turn towards Ladim, and light him up with a burning strike.

"Yeah, okay, I'm gonna go ahead and guess that didn't work," Gwyndle says dryly, abruptly raising a finger to fire some lightning at the turret.

Gwyndle's attack doesn't really seem to do any damage to the machine.

The machine may fire every six seconds, I'll wait until Ladim's next action for it to fire again since he was last to get hit.

"....ng the button. *[sigh]* I did try to warn you!" Askra finishes weakly, ducking to remove herself from any damage. She carefully stows the greatsword and fires a chakram back at the metal monster, missing wildly.

"More gickful muh-sheens. When will they end?" she mutters.

BoB squeezes through and uses his hatred of robot and decides to try and cut and pull the turret from the ceiling using his new size.

"Really? Really??? We don't have time for this!" Taking advantage of the others moving into the room to hopefully draw the machine's fire, Palomia moves up and takes aim through the doorway with her crossbow. "At least this one can't move," she grumbles as she looses a bolt.

Relas continues to move back towards the elevator, hoping that nothing new has decided to come out to play in wake of the group's passage. Once he reaches the elevator, he realizes that he can't exactly open it from his side and keenly feels the lack of hands and opposable thumbs. Instead, he coughs and calls out, "Um...Mr. Khonnir, sir? I think we're almost ready, they're trying to clear out the last room or two but we do have a clear path to the reactor room now!"

The party works together to destroy the turret, ending with the behemoth BoB ripping it from the ceiling as sparks fly. Perhaps by coincidence, red lights begin to flash in all of the rooms. Red blinking panels in the ceiling light up in conjunction with a loud moan of an alarm. Some Anfroffan voice rings through the air, but it's difficult to hear.
Perc check to hear the Androffan.

Relas reaches the elevator and calls for Khonnir.

"Excellent." Khonnir says as the door opens. He carries his tinkered device in hand and follows Relas back towards the others.

Khonnir arrives in the room with the dead Gargoyle moments later with Relas in tow.

"Everyone, quickly, gather before the door! Be prepared for anything once I open it!"

Khonnir chants the words of a spell in preparation.

I'd like you all to check in and make any preparations before we enter this last battle.

"Anything. Right. Okay," Gwyndle mumbles worriedly, as he positions himself before the door, his magic missile wand in hand.

Ladim jumps out from under the table, popping another of the healing pills. Should've gotten more, I guess. He then stands next to Khonnir, tapping himself off the dirt. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen." He looks at BoB, Relas and Daisy, then sighs, beginning to speak in a passionate voice, "And genderless beings, planar creatures and constructs. Remember, we've got Torch to worry about. May be a place of birth for some of us, and a place to rest, for others.", he sighs, looking to himself. Staring at the confused faces, he shrugs and continues in a much more Ladim-like tone. "I know you're all not morons, my love lumps. Basically, get in there, kill some berserk machines, stop the reactor from overloading and Khonnir buys us pints till the end of times.", last part stated as a fait accompli. He draws a half-smoked rollie from behind his ear and lights it up, staring at Khonnir and studying his actions.

So we're down to two hemochem doses now? Sorry, just trying to keep track. Have it jotted down in my inventory, but that bottle has been floating around like an extra party member.

Askra looks darky at Khonnir as he joins the group with the remnants of the gargmechyle..

"You able to make any use of...that? If Val were here, she'd think of something." she adds dismissively.

She listens to Ladim with a pout, beginning to nod despite herself. Then she grunts and interjects.

"What Lad is trying to say is....On your toes gickshits. Let's end these scum - choose your targets wisely, get into good positions and make the most of your strikes!!! [taps Daisy on the chest] That goes for you too Daisy!!!"

Standard Action: Tactician - all party members gain the benefits of Precise Strike for 4 rounds. "Let's get flankin'"

Precise Strike: Benefit: Whenever you and an ally who also has this feat (, so all of us) are flanking the same the creature, you deal an additional 1d6 points of precision damage with each successful melee attack. This bonus damage stacks with other sources of precision damage, such as sneak attack. This bonus damage is not multiplied on a critical hit.

Palomia nods and readies another bolt in her crossbow as she calls to mind the words of a spell to cause the floor to become unbelievably slick, should the situation call for it. "Sounds like a plan," she agrees with Ladim and Askra. "And Relas, if we die I swear I'll find a way to haunt you, even on another plane!"

Khonnir looks down at Askra and cracks a thin smirk. He turns to the heavy door and taps away at the panel at surprising speed. The door slides open to the left and right revealing another dark grey door, after a moment, that door splits and recedes into the ceiling and floor. The rector room is revealed, and the blaring roar of the core deafens everyone.

Panels of blinking lights and machinery line the walls of this chamber, but the true spectacle here is the massive machine of metal that looms against the far wall on a ten-foot-high platform. Two immense cylinders of pulsing violet light throb at the machine’s core, while above a thinner cylinder extends through the ceiling. Ladders to the north and south provide access to the machine’s platform, while at the center, a smaller machine with several metal spikes protruding from its heart extends from the larger one. The entire room vibrates with a roaring thunder, and the air feels strangely alive, almost as if it were vibrating as well.

Two large collector robots crowd the room with their bulk. They hover in the air with spinning blades and their robotic arms hand down like pincers.

The room shakes and the lights go in and out. In the moment of darkness the glowing purple tattoo-like circuitry of a humanoid are visible from the platform, her back facing the door. The lights cut out again and and the purple lines turn with her head in the darkness. After a long second the room is illuminated, and a tall android woman with long purple hair stands, her face expressionless, but her eyes piercing. She looks down at Khonnir and raises a glowing red pistol.

Meyanda

Her lips move but the words she speaks are inaudible.

"Destroy the collectors first! Then we take Meyanda!"

Palomia steps forward into the doorway but doesn't press any further into the room. Her eyes quickly scan over Meyanda and linger on the platform holding up the massive hunk of metal and machinery. "Oh no you don't!" she calls as Meyanda raises her weapon and directs it at Khonnir. Chanting a few arcane words, she makes a sweeping motion with her finger and suddenly the floor beneath the lady android is covered with slippery grease.

"We'll slow them down!" Relas calls as he eyes the melee and the large collector robots for only a moment before darting forward, attempting to duck and dodge around them to move further into the room.

Oof...I doubt he'll make that, but he was aiming to end up on the other side of the lower collector robot. I'll leave it to the GM where he ends up.

Ladim takes a step forward, spreading his arms around his body in an open fighting stance, fists glowing in blue haze. "Hey there, darling! Having a great day?", he shouts at the android as soon as he sees her. Oh, hell. Those things HURT!, passes through his head as he sees the smaller version of the turret in her hand. "You don't really want to use that, love!", he continues, grinning at the pistol in her hand and making a grasping motion with his left hand.

Magic Missiles, pointed towards the pistol... I'd have liked to keep that...: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3, 3) + 3 = 12 Hoping that FORCE damage bypasses it's hardness.

CMB towards the pistol, trip. Don't know if applicable, but TRO will think of something.: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

That Ratfolk that escaped earlier is cowering behind Meyanda's left leg in fear.

Relas:
The way Meyanda's eyes and gestures regard Khonnir are very strange for an Android, she spites him like jilted lover, or someone with a long and rough history. It is unlikely that they only just met in Torch.

Well, once Palo hits 4th level she'll have access to stuff like Barkskin and Bull's Strength...I'm not sure what sorts of spells Ladim and Gwyndle want to go for but Palo can go buffbot if need be :P

I'm not made of spell slots, Askra! Although, Ladim would probably jump at the opportunity to make you bigger, just give him the shout. And tripping the enemies is enough support, as far I'm concerned!

"Nice toys you have there, Meyanda," Gwyndle says, his expression abruptly turning manic at the sight of the purple-haired android. The gnome's shockingly white hair flares up, azure electricity coursing through every strand. As arcane power gathers in his right hand, the ordinarily invisible force field enveloping his body shimmers. "It'd be a shame if anything... happened to them."

The sorcerer tosses his hand out toward one of the large robots, firing out a bolt of arcane lightning.

Unfortunately, Gwyndle's over-zealousness did little to help his aim.

Palomia casts Grease in the area where Meyanda is standing. The platform becomes slippery!

Meyanda slips on the grease and falls prone. She rises to one knee and moves her gaze to Palomia.

Relas attempts to bound through the Collectors, but one slams him with jarring speed.
A soft whirring noise accompanies this flying mechanical creature. Its arms and hands end in spindly, multi-jointed fingers, and four circular rotors hold the creature aloft.

Collector Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Relas ducks at the last moment and avoids the hit.
Relas is stopped in front of the machine.

Askra moves into the doorway and swings at a floating collector, but it whirs out of the way too quickly!

Meyanda turns her weapon on Palomia and the barrel glows red hot as the air around it shimmers. Just then blue pulses of energy fly toward her from Ladim's hands. Meyanda is swift, releasing the weapon's handle and spinning it in her palm she clasps the stock and turns her wrist. The light blue energy bursts into the back of her wrist and forearm breaking skin and revealing glowing purple veins.

She's dazed for a moment, looking down at her arm in slight confusion and back to Ladim.

Ranks in Kn Arcana:
Magic missile has some very simple rules, it can't hit specific creatures, nor can it damage objects. It's likely that Meyanda is surprised that a caster has managed to attempt to bypass those Arcane rules. Also indicating that she is trained in the arcane arts.

Meyanda stays low, and the expression on her face doesn't change. She waves her good arm and the Collectors whir into the air and flank either side of her. The pulsing reactor behind her is going haywire, before it she extends her hand with a 'come hither' motion.

With the collectors backing off BoB takes the opportunity to move forward to engage one of them.

"Oof!" Relas exclaims as he's forced to skid to a stop to avoid a vicious slam attack by one of the Collector robots. Unable to push forward any further, he instead attempts to retaliate with a vicious bite.

Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

His sudden stop having thrown him off balance, his jaws snap shut inches from his target.

As the Collector that blocked Relas' way turns and begins to move to join Meyanda, the eidolon once again snaps his jaws at its retreating form. "Oh no you don't!"

AoO (Bite): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Unfortunately, his jaws seem to catch only air and he snarls in frustration.

ROUND 2

Deciding that it might be best to let BoB handle the Collector that slowed him down, Relas turns and moves after the second one. Once he moves within striking range, he attempts to take a bite out of it!

Attack (Bite): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

That last attack is assuming that Relas can reach the Collector from his current position. If not, he'll simply pace and snarl in a rather agitated manner. Also WTH on those rolls man :(

Whoops, sorry about the lack of DC boss! For anyone or anything entering the Grease area it's Reflex DC 14 or wind up on your butt.

As Meyanda calls the collectors to her side and her companions press forward, Palomia squeezes into the room and presses her back against the nearby wall to allow the others to move in as well. With Askra being within easy reach, she mutters a few arcane words and reaches out to touch her on the shoulder.

She seemed surprised at Ladim's trick...she knows magic?

"Whoops," Gwyndle says, his hair calming down a bit. His electrical bolt shoots right past the robot, blowing up a random wall ornament. The sorcerer scurries a bit closer, to a better firing position. "Let's try that again."

Askra slices at the departing robot, then feels the cool wave of guidance from Palomia. The Kellid favours Palo with a quick wink and murmurs to her remaining friend. "I guess I'll be seeing Kaad real soon..."

With that, aware of the risk of the deadly reach of the collector robots, Askra does what she does best. Throws caution to the wind, and charges straight at Meyanda.

Ladim sends a couple of pulsating waves, heading straight for Meyanda's chest. As the first one gets close, it immediately moves to her side, darting straight past her head, and as she turns reactively to see it, she misses the other two changing direction to her legs. "I'm almost as full of tricks as I'm full of b*+$~!%+, love!", the small sorcerer shouts as he takes another small step forward, looking for a safe cover.

Askra ferociously runs out towards Meyanda, she pays no mind to the metal wall, 10 feet high and full of electronics. She attempts to bound up the wall, the top of which was Greased by Palomia.

Askra slams into the wall with her sword, ripping away wires and circuits like confetti.

Ladim shoots straight at Meyanda with magic missiles. They slam into her and change direction to hit her legs. They might have tripped her, but Meyanda was already prone on the ground.

@Ladim @Askra Make sure you read a bit about the current position of things in the room before posting, looks like some simple mistakes here =)

@Relas the last attack would have missed anyway, but yes thanks for adding your extra clause about the wall. It is 10 feet up, though there are ladders.

A hatch opens from the bottom of each collector and a large barrel drops down. The tip glows with ionized energy particles before erupting with electricity!

One fires at BoB, his large size and presence of metal attract the beam!

One attacks Relas, less accurate against an all organic foe.

The cannons miss, but the energy makes everyone in the room's hair stand on end and the crackle scorches the ground and tears up the white metal. You get the feeling that a direct hit from such a weapon would not be good.

Meyanda looks down at Askra, then back at Relas near the latter. The holsters the pistol in her prone position and speaks inaudible words as she moves her hands. They begin to glow white, and she reaches out towards Palomia, who stands alone unprotected.

The light hits Palomia like a train.

In the other room, Khonnir shoves Ladim's shoulder.

"Yeah, we might as well. 'Scuse me, Big Guy," Gwyndle says as he squeezes past BoB's legs. The adrenaline was really starting to get to him. Perhaps it was the sight of his last group's murderer, or maybe it was the fact that they were all essentially standing in a room with a giant bomb. Needless to say, all of these things had their ways of riling up the sorcerer. His hair flares up once again as he unleashes another spell, carefully angling it so that he doesn't fry BoB; he adds to the mix a small bundle of excess arcane power - it made for good stress relief. "Wizzap!"

Gwyndle jolts the machine, causing it to crackle and smoke. One of it's hover engines begins to fail. The large BoB reaches up and smashed the rest of the machine to pieces.

Palomia screams in agony as she's suddenly engulfed in a dazzling white light that burns as though she'd been set aflame. As it fades, she staggers, barely able to keep her feet due to the pain. Slumping against the wall for support, she manages to call out a few arcane words...and suddenly, her injuries seem to heal slightly.

Casting Life Conduit as a standard action, then using a swift action to transfer 1d6 HPs from Relas to Palomia.

"S-sorry Relas..." she gasps as she staggers back through the doorway behind her.

Relas hears Palomia's scream from behind him and he turns in time to see a dazzling white light fade from view as his summoner staggers and slumps against the wall, barely alive. Though he can't understand the movements of her lips from this distance, he begins to have the unpleasant sensation of being...drained. Drained of his life force. However, he simply nods with understanding as he catches the look of regret on her face.

"It's okay, Palo. This is why I'm here with you."

Realizing that the remaining Collector robot is unlikely to yield the higher ground, Relas backs up a pace or two and hunkers down...and then suddenly leaps upward and forward in an attempt to reach the top of the wall! "Raaahhhh!"

Almost ran out of juice... Ladim looks at the fallen android and the Kellid attempting to climb up the wall, sighing. He raises his hands in the direction of Askra, two tendrils of arcane power hitting her on the shoulders. "There you go, up the road!", as the earthbreaker swinging girl begins to grow in size. "When I shout something along the lines of, 'MY FAAACE!', you come and hit it with that anvil on a stick, alright!", he says to the enlarged Askra.

Out of magic juice, Cantrip time!

"Daisy! Go! Smash! Fly! Thingy!", he turns to the vegepygmy next to him and points it towards the collector robot, imitating smashing movements.

After the south collector is destroyed, Relas runs to the north and bounds up to the second level. Palomia uses her ability to regain some life force from him.

Sorry Askra, I'm posting for you, we can retcon your action a little as well.
Now enlarged, Askra attacks!
Askra please decide whether you attack the Collector or Meyanda.
