Never mind my previous comment in other thread, finally kicked in.

Tik'Klik |

And away we go!

Tik'Klik |

Tik'klik feeds out another 50 feet of rope from the other arm. :)
He's got 10 pitons, so if you put one every 20 feet, that's 200 feet. He's not great at climbing (thus the pitons and rope). Oh, and he's got a hammer. :) Tik'Klik would be a boy scout if he were mortal. :)

Tik'Klik |

You guys weren't waiting on me were you? I don't have a lot to contribute until his vocal subroutines work themselves out.

Winterbones |

Fear not my friends I am still alive. Its currently the magic the gathering born of the gods prerelease and ive been working all day all weekend. Ill be back tonight/tomorrow and were carrying on with aplomb.
Also, i dont run speedy games so once a day is perfectly fine. I prefer long lasting campaigns.

Tik'Klik |

Just a note to whoever goes up first. Given the wind, I'd suggest everyone get 30 feet of rope. Then we put the pitons every 30 feet.
Piton 1 30 feet up, attach rope to piton.
Piton 2 30 feet up, attach other end of rope to piton 2. Climb down to Piton 1, detach rope, climb up to 90 feet. Put in Piton 3. Attach rope to Piton 3. Climb down to 2, detach rope. Climb up again, and so on.
Lather rinse repeat. Even if you fail a save on the wind and fall, you don't die.
A lot of climbing up and down, but all of it safe.
If we had 300 feet of rope, I'd suggest stringing ropes from piton to piton, then hooking a shorter rope to the guide rope, but we don't, so we do with what we have.

Tik'Klik |

And you can also speed it up a bit since the person below you can untie your rope once you reach the next piton. As long as the last person can throw their rope up to the next person to tie it off.

Tik'Klik |

Uhm, Craw? It's Day 3 and we are already on top, nobody is ascending. Mag was getting ready to lead the way exploring. You know, the ranger leading the way?

Tik'Klik |

Oops, sorry.
Ok, not sure why he's going first either. :)
New game, still getting names/classes straight.

Banny Kneebreaker |

Banny told Mogwag to go ahead of her, meaning she's in the rear, he's before her, but I'm not sure to interpret Mogwag's post as meaning he was going first-first, or just in front of her.
Either way, yeah, I wasn't thinking the ascent was gonna be handwaved either, until our GM's tag, which I assumed (perhaps wrongly) meant we were now at the top. So I'll refrain from a post until I'm a little clearer on where we are.

Winterbones |

There was a chance for a random encounter, but the ascent itself is hardly noteworthy. It's a walk, not a climb as I mentioned. To be fair, we are following the Exploration rules so you don't encounter the set encounters unless you explore a hex and the Wall itself is simply a climb to the next hex.

Tik'Klik |

In that case, it appears our next step is to explore the hex.

Tik'Klik |

I was under the impression that we could see the village, but it wasn't in the current hex? Or that we had to explore the hex to get the village listed?

Tik'Klik |

Well, it was you who started it. He was just poking you with a finger and chewing you out. Pulling a gun is kind of an over reaction.
I don't particularly want to do PvP either, but if the first response you ahve to an ally who is lecturing you is to pull your gun on them, you have to expect them to react to such an escalation with an equal escalation.

Tik'Klik |

That's somewhat difficult when Tik'Klik is still learning to talk. I sped up his speech a bit to help, so he's pointing out that you started it by drawing the gun first.
I suggest maybe we stop posting for a bit, and let Mag and Branny post, possibly one of them will hit Craw over the head for pulling his gun. :)

Tik'Klik |

Not really. Curden still has to reload. Tik has 7 shots at 1d4+1 each, all ranged touch attacks, at ANY distance. And they both have a 50/50 shot of landing each hit.
Add on to that that Tik'Klik, unlik Curden, can cure himself, and he has almost twice the HP of Curden, and it's actually more likely that Curden ends up dead in a shoot out. Especially when Tik'KLik open sup the distance beyond 30 ft or so.

Curden Craw |

I have a pepperbox with 6 shots including up close and deadly, which means I'm doing 2d6 damage a round for several rounds. One shot can easily drop you. No point of being able to heal if you're one shot since you only have 6 hp.
Anyways, no point in arguing over who's better since I doubt you're going to attack.

Tik'Klik |

Nope, one shot can't possible put him down. He has 18 hp, not 6.
Ooops, just found a typo in the character. Should be 16, not 18.

Curden Craw |

Ok, one shot would make you *unconscious*, coup de gra, fight over.
P.S. That touch attack has the same range as my pistol.
Arcane Bolt (Sp): Starting at 1st level, you can unleash a ray of magic force as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. This ray deals 1d4 points of damage + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. This damage is treated as a spell of a level equal to half your sorcerer level, and is a force effect.
Sorry, a caster with no save or lose spells is not going to beat a martial character.

Tik'Klik |

Again, no, one shot wouldn't. 2d6 = 12 max. That's it. 12, not 16.
And no, I wouldn't be unconscious, I'd be dead if I hit 0.

Tik'Klik |

I will again point out that it's Craw that's starting this, both IC and OOC. *shrug* I simply don't feel like being threatened in or out of character.
And really, at this level, all it takes is a single crit and someone's dead.
Construct. Small Constructs gain 10 bonus HP.
Counteracts that whole dead at 0 thing.

Tik'Klik |

Sorry, I had to leave a game recently due to a player OOC constantly nit picking every post I made in character in the discussion thread, and starting it out with 'This is all OOC and not an attack or nothin' before ripping into my posts and even making up things that I never said, but twisting what I posted to make it sound like I was a moron. So maybe I'm a bit sensitive on it right now. Sorry.

Curden Craw |

I'm sorry as well. Let's kiss and make up. :P
I'm an engineer and will literally sit for hours crunching numbers, thoroughly enjoying myself. Just the other day my friend and I disagreed on what class made a better divine warrior so we created characters and duked it out.
I won't promise Craw will be nice or polite, but he'll be slower to draw over non-violent actions now. As a player I really like your posting style, pace, and creativity.
Also, I am well aware of the lack of ability to understand the tone of language via text. If I am ever upset in any way shape or form, I'll be dead blunt about it. It takes a hell of a lot to get me upset though.
On the bright side, this has just dramatically increased our posting rate!

Tik'Klik |

LOL
I put it down to people just needing to get a feel for people's styles, both in and out of character.

Banny Kneebreaker |

Okay, may be slow for a bit. Laptop adapter abruptly gave up the ghost and I'm on my last two hours of battery power at the moment. Hopefully I can get this fixed soon. GMPC as needed.

Tik'Klik |

Hi William, we merging the two groups for a visit, or did the other game die?
