Hi all here we have the place where OCC walls of blue texts goes and other chit chats about things. PC talk in game play, Players talk here.

Ok "I thought Realistic Likeness only let you take human forms?"

That is true, there is a sub class of Ninja that has Ki power that for 2 Ki lets an Kitsune take "Other than human forms with Realistic Likeness " which kind of implies yous stuck with human.

That being said, as this has been done IN game play now, and I think it was a simple rules oversight even I missed, I will for the sake of game play say that

HOUSE RULE

while in the Kitsune Clan Village ONLY Kitsune with Realistic Likeness can take the form of Kitsune as well.

Simple fix and brakes no game.

Sounds fair. Though I assume we can still use blue text to give non IC information. Ex: Swift Action: Arcane Strike

Hmm....


1: Some times players can fall out or a player can be harsh, hay even a GM can mess up. Thing is RPG is a group thing so if its clear one player or gm is acting a wee bit D**kish best point it out deal with it like grown up and get back to fun playing games.
Just fine it sums up a lot of rules that say the same thing.

2: Always the best way to respect other players EVEN if you PC is not respecting other PCs. Let everyone know 1st, check they are fine with it and you will not brake rule 1

3: Yes Info IN side a game post is fine OOC wise, it ALL blue [OOC] posts that should move here. Seen games have Whole pages of blue text in game play. I just fines it slows things down.

4: Trust me, If I am doing my job right you will get into the setting and PC, there will always be times when the rules don't match intent, That is when Rule of Cool comes into play. Narrative magic as a great GM I know once called it. When the rules says NO but the Drama and story say yes.

I should have put pacifism in my background. Oh well, I like the pacifist angle that my character has taken. It seems to be the cause of tension right now. I do have sleep, so I'll be using that. It's a good combat spell.

Pacifism is well and good. Nothing wrong with a character who doesn't want to get his own hands dirty. So long as it means that the party can still stab someone when needed, we should be good.

Also, as an aside, shapeshifting is a pretty big part of Fei's character. So when he is in different human (or kitsune) forms, I'll be changing the profile picture. That should make it be pretty easy to figure out what he looks like at any given time.

You still can take it as a Draw back [pacifist] and get a Trait to counter it.

Drawback [pacifist] -1 to all will rolls for 24 ours of forced to kill,
The drawback stacks but each -1 runs on its own 24 hour count down.
The more you kill the worse you feel

Same goes for all players.

PCs always take time to work in, and some times they have their own voice.
Something thing like this is cool to have in game and adds to PC dynamic.
Go with it.


Should have made clear you can try to spell charm of mambusel the Barmans price in gold down players. Feel free to roll play it.

Why do we have three tails? I know we got Fox Shape for free, but I don't recall getting the Magic Tail feat for free twice. What am I missing?

It seems that I'm the only one with three tails. I paid for the Magic Tail feat two times at character creation. Oh brother, I thought everyone paid for the magic tail feat twice at character creation. I'm sorry.

So we were gong to ambush the man at our arrival point, but now we are going to yellow pool after the slavers?

Or do we still intend to deal with the merchant slaver at our meeting point?

Part of the problem is that I'm not sure which discussions Tally is privy to and which he is not.

I'm not sure what Fei Wan has in mind, in character. I'm sure he'll tell us.


Real Tully is showing some of the party around the town having been charmed
and so knows nothing of your plans

Fake Tully has just been told the Salves will be hold up at Yellow pool waiting to pick up what seems to be there last batch of Kitsune slave before the cost and getting a ship over the sea to there sale point.

Some players have more info on what kinds of slaves they have and what the slave careavn is made up of. While others know where the half orc is and they he has just said fake tully can do as he likes so long as he gets his cut.

Thanks, though I asked what Tally knew and not what Tully knew. An unfortunate similarity of names.

Basically, what I'm getting is that all Tally knows is that he is supposed to keep Tully occupied and Tally (my character) knows squat about the slavers at this point.

In character he will have to wait until someone fills him in on any objectives.

Having had my moment in the spotlight, I’m backing off for a bit. I’m still here though after everyone else ties up their loose ends.


I am looking into maps D20 seems like a good place but wanted to ask players of they would like that. Over Google docs

Roll20 requires a separate login so when I click on a link I have to go through some gymnastics in order to open it. On the other hand it has some REALLY nice features which would be worth the hassle such as a snap to grid, variant lighting that only shows the part of the map you can see, and the ability to put some numbers on your icon. Basically, though, I can work with whatever you want to use.

I always prefer a map. If I do not have a map I get everything confused - I whisper to folks 60' away, run into a silence area and try to cast a spell, those kinds of things.
