Ruedo follows, hoping not to be too noisy.

No one's judging dear....all I said was Oh dear...we might have some trouble, but it's okay. One way or another we'll deal with it.

I'm waiting to see what happens before I decide what to do.
Ruedo hears a stirring from within the coffin he was attempting to sneak by. Suddenly, the rotted lid burst to pieces as one of the dead men started to rise.
Round 1:
Ravan, Cyrus, Eri, Caliban, Ruedo, Draugr
This fight should go a lot easier. They're not nearly as tough as the cobras.
Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7
I'm waiting to see what Cyrus and Ravan do first. I don't want to act too hastily.
Not wanting to do anything that might create more trouble for them, she holds her weapon at the ready and waits to see what Ravan and Cyrus do.

Cyrus approaches the entrance of the room drawing his Kusarigama as he does. He waits for the nearest undead to approach chain-scythe in hand.
Move up. Ready Action: Attack when one is within 10ft.

Trying to be as quiet as possible, Eri moves up behind Ruedo and waits to see what the others do before acting. Maybe if they were lucky they could get through this room without anything else waking up.

She bites down on her lower lip as she runs her foot into the corner of the wall. A herd of hippos would probably have been quieter, but all she could do was hope she was quiet enough.
Figuring that she had already been loud enough she sighs and swings her mighty axe at the one that came out at Ruedo.

Ruedo takes a step back and hurls an arrow at the undead.

This is why mummies are sad.
Ravan's spell strikes the Draugr in the head as it began to rise, obliterating part of its face. As Cyrus readied himself to strike the thing, Eri rushed forward and brought her axe down. Her strike was accurate and devastating as it cleaved the undead from skull to breast bone. The once again lifeless hulk fell back into its coffin.
Congrats Eri and Ravan, you saved Ruedo an arrow. One down, others remain, but you have a round of respite before more get up.
Round 2:
Ravan, Cyrus, Eri, Caliban, Ruedo, Draugr

So then.....why can't we just exit the room then? Is there some law saying that we have to stay and fight till every single last one is dead? Why can't we just leave the room through the door to the west like we planned on?

That would be tactically unwise.
Cyrus continues to hold his weapon ready for anything that comes for him as he adjust his position in the room once again.
Can't see map at work but please move me to just were the room opens up. My current position is further in than I would like.

Why wouldn't just leaving be a bad idea? I don't get the logic.

If we leave and go the other way the shrieking wakes them up and we have to fight them all at once.
@ Cyrus - Do you mean right on this side of the secret entrance, or just get you out of the middle of the room?
@ Eri - There's nothing stopping you from leaving. But there's also nothing stopping them from following you. In force. So you can deal with them now as they're getting up, or you can deal with all of them when you are in the next room.
@ Ravan - Actually, the mushroom is east of the room you're in now. The secret tunnel actually bypasses the room completely. So you don't need to go there at all.

*sticks tongue out at gmscv* I didn't mean go to the mushroom room, I was talking about going through the west door in this room. But never mind now since Mr man is gonna make us fight these stupid bastards no matter what we do. Fine...whatever, you win. We'll play along with what the stupid book says. *Rolls eyes*

It's not a matter of doing what the book says. As SCV said they're likely to follow us, presumably because they want our brains <Insert snark comment here>, and likely cut off any escape route or flank us when we encounter the next room of bad guys. This is why I said it was unwise.

Maybe they were told the next people to come in would give them candy. They strike me as the kind to appreciate a good salt water taffy.

Moving forward to a point allowing her to focus on at least two of the coffins at once, Ravanalonna says you her companions,"Quickly get behind me before another one bursts out."
Once they comply she sends a jet of flame to engulf the wooden coffins igniting them.

Eri does as Ravan asks and waits.

Well they can have pie instead

Outsider (Phantom) HP: 34/34; AC: 18, Touch: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +2, Ref: +5, Will: +3, Initiative: +2, Perception: +6
Caliban likewise retreats behind Ruedo.
As the two coffins ignite, two of the others across the room burst open. A pair of drowned men begin to rise.
Ravan, go ahead and roll damage. The coffins burning ar marked with X's.
Round 3:
Ravan, Cyrus, Eri, Caliban, Ruedo, Draugr
Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7
Okay....so now I'm confused. Before when the other thing popped up you called it something else. Are everything in this room the same kind of undead thing....or are they different? I don't even know if that makes any sense.
If you'll recall, the boy called these things Drowned Men. It's just another name for them, but they are all the same kind of creature. Draugr.

Ohhhh....yeah, okay. Sorry, my brain didn't put it together as I'm still waking up. I have to call my sister and see if one of my nieces can pick me up in their van and take me to the Habitat for Humanity 're-store so that I can find another office chair since I destroyed mine last night.

Moving up to something that is not on fire, she swings her axe at one of the baddies.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
I doubt that hits but in case it does: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Move up to Q24 and attacking the thing in front of me.
