Yay! And you now have another NPC bad guy that you could throw against us...

Just a quick note to say that I suddenly have a lot going on in my life, and my posting regularity might be going down for the next few days.

Hey guys, sorry for dropping off the face of the earth this weekend. I took a role in a play at the last minute to replace a guy who had to drop out unexpectedly and we open tomorrow night and I have a lot of lines to learn so I won't be able to post until Tuesday probably.

Hi, folks.
Just checking to make sure that this campaign is still indeed alive.
One of my other PbPs just folded abruptly with no fanfare, and I'm hoping that's not the case here.
I have not abandoned you. Just life's been kind of hectic and I am happy to report I got engaged over Valentine's weekend! Anyway, posting should become very regular from now on and I hope you guys stick with the game!
NG Male Human Wizard (Necromancer) 6 | hp 31/32 | AC 17 (Touch 12; FF 16) | Init +5 | Per +5 | Fort +3; Ref +3; Will +7 | CMB +3; CMD 13 | Speed 30 ft.
I know this PbP has been slow to pick up momentum, primarily due to my slow posting, but other than Dr. Stefan and Gregorius, are you guys still interested in continuing? I am back for good now, but is it too late?
Detective 1 | init +5, per +7 | AC 15/13/12 | HP 10/10 | Fort +1, Reflex +5, Will +1 (+2) | CMB +1, CMD 14
I'm ready to drop after this last absence. Slow play is the bane of PbP for me, and the lack of communication about schedules and commitments doesn't help the matter. I find myself frustrated when I see this thread, rather than happy like I should be. Good luck to all you guys, a great group of RPers here, I hope your campaign goes well. Congrats on the engagement Lucendar, cheers!
I appreciate the honesty, Drake. Good luck to you as well. How about Mortimer and Anselm? You feel like continuing? I understand it was my absence that doomed this PbP, which is a shame, because it was a great cast of characters, with a lot of potential, especially with Gregorius and Dr. Stefan's backgrounds.

Sorry to see you go, Drake, but I totally understand!
Just to let you all know: I am probably going to post a recruitment thread for my own PbP (my first!) sometime soon. (I'm debating between three ideas.)

I'd recommend that you send a PM to Chris to see if he's still interested in continuing. (It's possible he doesn't check the boards during the business day.) Assuming that's a "no..."
1) If you had been considering alternates from the original recruitment thread, you could PM one or two to see if they'd be interested.
2) You could post to the Recruitment thread, saying that the campaign has two openings for Ravengro-based PCs and see who shows up.
3) If you know of a player (or two) you'd like to invite directly, send him/her a PM, and just let him/her join.
4) We could continue with three players, with you running one or more of the departing PCs as NPCs, if need be. (We'd probably need them-- a 3-PC party with no cleric might not go so well for us!)
Male Human Paladin of Iomedae (Undead Scourge)/1 / HP 15 of 15 / F+3 R+0 W+4 / AC 19.10.19 / Init. +2 / Perc +2
Still interested, sorry for being quiet. I should be able to post more frequently now, some life changes (ups and downs) give me a more flexible schedule.

Hey, folks. Nothing bad, but I may not be able to post for a few days.

Sorry for not catching up over the weekend like I'd planned. Real life got unexpectedly... complicated.
Sorry to see you go, Drake, but I totally understand!

Simon may have resigned, but is Drake still with us as we explore this crypt?

Please chime in on the applicants in the recruitment thread and help me out. Your opinion counts as to who we choose. I'm thinking 2 players, since Anselm is gone as well.

The pool seems a bit thin. I posted to my other PbP that this one has an opening. Would you consider keeping the poll open another day or so?
Welcome Harold! I will get you into the game very soon. Could you expand on your connection to the Professor? For game purposes, you received news of his death, but unforeseen circumstances (overturned cart on the road, etc.) delayed your arrival and you are arriving 2 days late for the funeral.
NG Male Human Wizard (Necromancer) 6 | hp 31/32 | AC 17 (Touch 12; FF 16) | Init +5 | Per +5 | Fort +3; Ref +3; Will +7 | CMB +3; CMD 13 | Speed 30 ft.
As to how Harold knew the Professor, and why he was delayed, how about the following:
Teacher's Pet:
Whilst Harold was studying at the Cathedral of Pharasma in Caliphas, the Professor gave a series of lectures regarding the undead, and creatures that could masquerade as humans. This piqued Harold's interest, and he set up a lengthy correspondence with the Professor over the next few years, discussing theories about the undead, and the best techniques for their defeat. Harold was deeply saddened to hear of the Professor's death, and hastened to his hometown as quickly as he could...
A Tardy Arrival:
...Harold was actually relatively close to Ravengro at the time he received notice of the Professor's death; he was in Courtaud, the capital of neighbouring Lozeri, where he was investigating rumours of a strange beast called the 'Devil in Grey', which was terrifying the populace. Although he found no concrete evidence of the beast, trudging through the wilds of the Shudderwood meant that it was more than a week after the notice of the Professor's death arrived at the temple he had left as his most recent forwarding address, before he received it. He immediately made haste for Tamrivena, where he booked passage on a swift sailing vessel, which took him to Lake Lias, from where he was able to make it to Ravengro on foot, arriving tired and careworn, but more importantly, late...
Harold, you arrived late at night in Ravengro and you were making your way to the inn when you hear the screams, so you can post as well in the Gameplay thread.

Hey-- before the new scene begins in earnest, we should figure out who's holding the 5 cure light wounds and 2 lesser restoration potions.
I'd pose that each of the PCs who went to the crypt take one of the cure potions, and the lesser restoration potions should be considered party resoources. I'd suggest that our de facto healers (Gregorius and Stefan) hold them until needed.
If our departed friends just happen to leave their stuff behind after disappearing mysteriously, well...

Hi, folks.
I wanted to give you all a heads-up that I'll be going silent the week after next. My family is going to England on vacation for a week. We're flying out of JFK a week from tomorrow.
