Though the sprinklers are pouring water down into the room, you see that it obviously an office, with a desk, several chairs, and vidscreens tuned to multiple entertainment feeds: behind the curtain of water you catch a glimpse of Big Jim rerun on one of the screens.
Zeyram looks at the Bjg Jim on the screen, and then over his shoulder to the real one: life is strange.
Hawthorne leans around the corner and blasts the big Vesk in the head, a statisfying grunt showing that the shot hurt.
Sophia hesitates, then: I am not alone here.
Jim, Buster, and Simagus all train their guns on the doorway, ready to blast who or whatever comes through right back in.
But the only thing to come out is a bullet.

• dispelling the Grease as you wished to do is a Standard action (would take this round's standard)
• how did you access their systems? I think that if you are using a Computer you have to have one of the Range upgrades to access things remotely (otherwise you need to jack in - be physically connected) (page 213 of the CRB has info' on upgrading, building your computer - tell me if you have a computer but have not upgraded it etc., we can retcon that if you did not know about such rules)
• but, if you are accessed remotely (at distance) then, yes, you can use your Standard action to close the doors, and make a DC 10 Computer check to send a message to lock the doors shut (emulating a fire or emergency or whatever) and override the button-opening from the door
Cadence Rem
|
The way it played was that Cade accessed a data port. He has since moved about 15ft from the port to cast his spell on Hawthorne’s gun. I’m assuming that, because Cade would not have had sufficient actions available to do all that and stow his computer, his computer is still jacked in. And he still has access from his high computers check.
So, the way I see it is that Cade takes a move action to step back to the port/console and a standard to close/lock the doors. Would that work?
GM SFS
|
Yes, that's fine by me. So, your idea is that he jacked the computer in, and then left it there - jacked in - and stepped away and is now stepping back to where it was? That's fine by me. So, for "free" I can have had Cade close the door. And if you do a DC 10 Computer check (with a bonus +2 for your roll) you can fame the system as if answering to an alert and deactivate the manual door opening - shutdown mode.
Also, since you don't have a computer listed in your gear I don't know what you bought, but check out the Range modules you can add. For 5 Cr. you can have Range I which means that you can hack into things at a distance using WiFi / Infosphere etc.
