I also like the party vibe. It is a bit disharmonious, which is a little unusual for most RP games, but makes for a good tale I think. Like Gromff said, it would be unusual for a group of strangers made up of different races, different places in lift-- to simply mesh perfectly well.
You guys mesh well when it matters, and the flavor RP angst fills in the gaps when appropriate!

I got enough to put me at a weeks worth. And to answer your question out of character, there is an army behind us with flying units you have a very slow, but steady dwarf. We don't have the resources to attack and don't have the speed to get away. Unless you are confident in your own skills at escaping. We could buff you up send you in, then try and get away but that would be dangerous and put a very important campaign figure in danger: Arsnesi. You can suggest it in character, and I encourage it if it is what you would truly suggest, but it will most likely lead to more tension. And probably not just me this time.
Catcher |
@Miro
I'll take it.
Makes more sense having the mage with those feats. Easier, cheaper and faster crafting as mage. :D
Roland, just Roland |
You're right Gromff. That was a stupid idea ^_^
If he was alone Roland would wait in a far far away farm, where some soldiers could come, but then would be away from the others. But yes, having slower soldiers would make the trap impossible.
Catcher |
Is there a source I can get only those spells from those two books? Also, what about Masterwork Transformation? That is UM but would be helpful to our current situation.
My domains are Defense and Good.
Just look at spells from the two books mentioned.

(...) and playing pranks.(...)
I'm not playing pranks!
This is divine punishment!
In two days game time the dwarf:
- Yelled that he was a dwarf while disguised as a old man.
- Sat on the half-elf.
- Rolled in the mud with the elf.
- Conjured cold water into: An freaking angel, a scary barbarian and an innocent mage.
- Punched said scary barbarian in the head.
Someone gotta stop him!

I will be much more inclined to allow spells from the official Paizo sourcebooks (Advanced Class guide, Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat, Advanced Race guide, etc etc) than from campaign specific sourcebooks and player's guides.
3rd party material might be ok from time to time, but it will need to be cleared by me first.
The variety of source material is staggering, and can be a bit troublesome for me as a DM. For one thing I am just not that familiar with all that much of the material, and it can throw me for a loop when spells come up that I've never heard of.
Certain classes like the Cleric and Druid already have so many spells at their disposal, and therefore many tools in their toolbox; it feels like giving them a degree too far of power to open the flood gates of the PF SRD. I hope you guys understand. I'm pretty lenient about many things in my games, but this one is something I need to reign in.
Catcher |
@GM
I understand it completely.
Usually I only pick up things from PRD.
If there's something else apart, I tend to ask first. :D
Gamemaster Zedth |
I don't know of a great way to see a source that limits it to CRB and APG. If you're using the PF SRD, just scroll to the bottom of the spell listing page and look at the source. It will show which book it is from.
Another reason I'm hesitant about the D20 PFSRD is it doesn't cite the names of copyrighted material such as the Pathfinder Gods/Goddesses. Some of those spells from campaign sourcebooks and player's guides are specific to certain Gods who grant them, or specific to certain races and such... but the D20PFSRD will not always mention that because of copyright reasons.
I apologize for the inconvenience.

Please roll for the monsters like you did in our perception! ^_^
By the way, I know we're a long way far from it, but for the 5th level I would like to take Reckless Rage as my feat. So you have a LOT of time to think about it he he. Thanks.
Gamemaster Zedth |

None of them are in a position to have noticed you yet. They get no rolls as you're all in the darkness, away from them, and not making much noise.

Dang, cool power! I've been loving the new Advanced Class Guide.

No no no, I mean, roll BAD for them like you did for us ^_^

Hey!
I'm recruiting one more for my Way of the Wicked game.
Here is the link.
Feel free to apply if you are interested.
Gamemaster Zedth |
I'm still here, just watching the RP and waiting for an action to be decided on before I elaborate.

"And don't be a fool kid. I've stopped throwing myself at every mortal danger a decade ago. Now I only take the ones when I'll win, although all of them are mortal dangers. You never know when you will receive a spear in the throat, I tell you."
Roland charisma is so well Rp'ed, that I'm starting to get pissed with him!
Lol!
Catcher |
I'm off to sleep a bit, back in some hours, please, don't kill me meanwhile!
Gromff Hammerhand |
Dwarven ninja. Have to give that a shot one day.
Gamemaster Zedth |
Is that a consensus? Are you going to make an attack on the drake and robed men?
Are you going to approach stealthily? Bombard them from range?
Any spells being cast beforehand?
Also,
Out of curiosity, what time zone do you all live in? I'm curious about where you're all from :)
I live in Las Vegas, so I'm on Pacific Standard Time.
Gromff Hammerhand |
Eastern I believe. Kentucky. Is Walker not saying anything?
*Edit nevermind
Catcher |
I'll need to leave for some hours again.
University.
Catcher will use mage armor on herself.
If the oportunity arises, meaning we get to fight the drake and she have some seconds of head's up, she'll use bull's str on Roland.
And then, mostly important, If Roland says anything, she'll pick up a fight, as usual.
Roland, just Roland |
Thanks! I'm trying harder now, as in the beginning of the game Roland seemed to be too easy to interact with. And of, course, you people are giving the poor barbarian reason to be mad... ^_^
Everyone is doing a fine job so far!
Also on Brazil but in GMT -4.
And then, mostly important, If Roland says anything, she'll pick up a fight, as usual.

Catcher wrote:And then, mostly important, If Roland says anything, she'll pick up a fight, as usual.Temper, temper.
Mostly, we'll always have to disagree to agree with something.
I mean, you are chaotic, she is Lawful.
She likes to plan and do things in a calculated manner. Roland just want to throw hinself in the moment.
I could say lots more, but you get the point. :D
Roland, just Roland |
Yeah I know you are a troublemaker ^_^
Trying to speed this up, I think we should try to scout the camp and check where do the cultists came from. They should be camping nearby, and maybe there was a cave around where the drake hides.
Gromff Hammerhand |
Anyone who has stealth should probably make some checks as well as perception to scout the camp and some survival as well to find a good spot to ambush. Someplace nearby that can possibly remove the drake's advantage of flight. I am saying this here because we sort of have a plan and I believe each character can make those decisions for themselves.
Gamemaster Zedth |
I'll try to get a map drawn up tonight.
Good ideas Gromff--- everyone feel free to make appropriate rolls for stealth, perception, and survival (and anything else you can think of) to gain information.
Please let me know who's moving up first, and your plan(s) of attack.
Gamemaster Zedth |
Sorry for the delay folks. I'll be busy all day today. I'll have a tactical map up by late late tonight or sometime tomorrow.
Gamemaster Zedth |
Hey all,
We had a busier weekend than I anticipated. We had a pet emergency that took up a lot of time yesterday and today, so I apologize for not getting up my tactical map as promised.
It is late, so I won't be able to do it until tomorrow, after work.
Catcher |
Take your time Boss.
We know that RL stuff happens. :)
And thank you for keeping us posted!
Gromff Hammerhand |
Gromff takes stock of the battlefield with tactical eye. "I might have a plan. Miro, Catcher? Either o you have illusion magic? We need that dragon thing gone or distracted. Can't handle all these at once and its the heaviest hitter here aside from the lads head," he says indicating Roland.
"Once we do that I can get around to the fire and throw up enough defensive magic they won't be able to hurt me too much. Might even draw them into the fire. Should make me harder to see too. If I use Resist energy and stand in the fire will the flames grant partial concealment? Then the rest o ye take em out while distract them and keep them otherwise occupied."
Also, do any look like casters?
Catcher |
I think that would be a great idea if we need to get on the open field. I would like to know how powerful are we on the ranged combat, if you may.
Roland has only a Longbow: +4 to Hit; 1d8 damage.
30ft, 7 times per day. Ranged touch +3, 1d4+1 dmg.
Gromff Hammerhand |
oops. posted in character stuff in discussion. my bad.
