Altai Iscarni |

It's only funny til somebody puts an eye out.
I watched something a couple of years ago (probably South Park) that warned that "scatological humour is only funny until somebody dies". How that would happen is of course a worthy subject in its own right.

Gittik |

Attacking my previous target:
RH kukri 1: To hit 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 19 + 1 = 31, damage 1d3 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
RH kukri 2: To hit 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 14 + 1 = 17, damage 1d3 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
RH kukri 3 (haste): To hit 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 19 + 1 = 28, damage 1d3 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
LH kukri 1: To hit 1d20 + 17 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 17 + 1 = 38, damage 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 plus 1d6 ⇒ 5 electricity damage. Crit cofirmation roll 1d20 + 17 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 17 + 1 = 24, additional damage if confirmed 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
LH kukri 1: To hit 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 12 + 1 = 31, damage 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 plus 1d6 ⇒ 2 electricity damage
"BLEAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

Oso Legumbe |

Oso points to the weakened one, "By my sword, fight."
casts spiritual weapon and attacks with sword of force. Spell Resistance 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 or the spell is dispelled.
The sword winks out as it touches the demon.
"Gittik bring em closer to me!"

RH kukri 1: To hit 1d20 + 19 + 1, damage 1d3 + 9
RH kukri 2: To hit 1d20 + 14 + 1, damage 1d3 + 9
RH kukri 3 (haste): To hit 1d20 + 19 + 1, damage 1d3 + 9
LH kukri 1: To hit 1d20 + 17 + 1, damage 1d3 + 4 plus 1d6 electricity damage. Crit cofirmation roll 1d20 + 17 + 1, additional damage if confirmed 1d3 + 4
LH kukri 1: To hit 1d20 + 12 + 1, damage 1d3 + 4 plus 1d6 electricity damage"BLEAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
The crit almost confirmed, but not quite; and the electricity didn't seem to add anything to the flensing mayhem, but Gittik's onslaught has the thing drizzling gore on the jungle foliage below. Some of the plants seem to wither under the touch of the thing's ichor, and more troublesome, some seem to be painted with an electric fluorescense; the flowers' beepurple attraction patterns becoming visible to the naked human eye.

casts spiritual weapon and attacks with sword of force. Spell Resistance 1d20+8 or the spell is dispelled.
The sword winks out as it touches the demon.
"Gittik bring em closer to me!"
The thing giggles at you....
"chewwwmon......you serve a weak godling," it taunts through wicked peglike teeth.
Elgan Dreadwood |

Elgan stands woodenly, looking like the tree which his barkskin spell makes him look like. But his prayers rumble through the sky with his personal stormcloud, adding to the ominous rumble. Another crack of lightning spits down from the tiny stormcloud to the demon-fly-thing,...
[ooc]Another blast from my Call Lightning, just in case,... ;P and beginning a Summon Monster spell[/i]

Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |

Pip points at the giggling Chasme and tries a Glitterdust
DC 14 Will Save or blinded
Spell resistance: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Pip strums a fast folk tune
"Kill Kill Kill
Everybody do the Cockroach Stomp.
You'll feel better, like I know you will.
Come on, do the Cockroach Stomp.
You can do it if you try.
You can even stomp a fly.
With a twinkle in our eye,
We make 'em die... die... die, die, die, die!"

dungeonmaster heathy |

The f@$!er at b17, (not the other one that Gittik carved on real good) is good/n/blinded up.
I love when cr 10 b$$++es get pwned by 1st level spells.
The first one claws, bites and gores wee Gittik.
Two claws and a bite connect; 17 in damage; and Gittik's bleeding out at a rate of 4 h.p. per round now from wounding.
The blind one covered in glitterdust misses with both claws, but is able to bite and gore poor Gittik; 14 more in damage.
Gittik took 31 h.p. in damage; is bleeding at 6 h.p. per round.
It's a dogfight......
Group's attack.
The one at a17 is carved up pretty bad by Gittik; the one at b17 has been jacked once hard by Beldan and is now blinded, though he's not as bad off woundwise as the one Gittik flensed.

Elgan Dreadwood |

There is whirl of leaves in the air HOW did they get all the way up there?!? And the screaming call of a hunting avian, and from a flash of light comes a large predator.
With a flap of large powerful wings it hovers for a moment, then dives at the pair of demonic flies.
It's a bird, it's a lion, no,... its a GRIFFON! And it screams as it tears into the chasme that Gittik hasn't wounded,...
All rolls include bonuses from 'Pounce' (Charge) and the friendly Bard's bonuses, When it pounces it gets a full attack,... So,
Bite: 1d20+15=21, Dmg: 2d6+8=13, Claw 1: 1d20+12=28, Dmg: 1d4+6=9, Claw 2: 1d20+12=18, Dmg:1d4+6 =7
Elgan allows his tiny storm to dissipate, seeing as it's obviously ineffective against the buzzing behemoths. He then Shimmers into a Dire Bear, his Large size giving him just enough reach to swipe at the demonic gadflys, and waddles over to wade into the fray next to the oversized Oso,...
All attacks count as MAGIC for dmg reduction (If that helps)
Bite:d20+12=14, 1d8+10=14, Paw 1:1d20+8=20, 1d6+10=11, Paw 2:1d20+8=13, 1d6+10 =16
oh, and my personal AC is now 29 (with wildshape and Barkskin up)

Oso Legumbe |

Oso grows to the size of an elephant and slices upwards at the first insect.
"Gittik I shall heal you next time around."
Take Improved Crit this round, no rage, 2 handed power attack, full attack start on one and attack until it drops. Hopefully. First attack 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28, haste attack 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28, and secondary attack 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35. Possible crit on the secondary attack 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20. Probably not. First damage 2d8 + 17 ⇒ (5, 4) + 17 = 26, haste damage 2d8 + 17 ⇒ (8, 3) + 17 = 28, secondary damage 2d8 + 17 ⇒ (8, 4) + 17 = 29. 83 points in total. AC20.

Elgan Dreadwood |

Elfbear hastily wipes at his sensitive nose, and shimmers back into an elf as he continues wiping the gore off.
"Dat, jes', ain't, Nat'ral!" he complains betweens gasps for clean air. He takes the time to scratch the Griffon behind the ears and thank it for its help before it fades away to return from where it was summoned. Presuming that this encounter is over? Otherwise it still has several rounds of fight left!

Gittik |

Attacking the remaining fly-boy:
RH kukri 1: To hit 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 19 + 1 = 26, damage 1d3 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
RH kukri 2: To hit 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 14 + 1 = 27, damage 1d3 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
RH kukri 3 (haste): To hit 1d20 + 19 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 19 + 1 = 31, damage 1d3 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
LH kukri 1: To hit 1d20 + 17 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 17 + 1 = 33, damage 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 plus 1d6 ⇒ 2 electricity damage. Crit confirm roll 1d20 + 17 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 17 + 1 = 31, extra 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 if confirmed
LH kukri 1: To hit 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 12 + 1 = 27, damage 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 plus 1d6 ⇒ 2 electricity damage
"NNNNNGGGGGAAAAAAAAAGH!"

dungeonmaster heathy |

Okay......back.....
Gittik shreds the final one with a massive onslaught of flying pint-sized fury. Floating like a butterfly and shredding like a hyperactive wolverine hepped up on catnip and methamphetamine, the final fly is reduced to a gory smear on the floor of the jungle.
When you're done, the wilderness is eerily silent. Not even so much as a mosquito buzzes through the green, nothing moves.
Exp. 3,100 each.....

Altai Iscarni |

"Them the guards Altai?"
"Probably. While demons are a strange bunch, I find it hard to believe that there would be a pair of chasmes just aimlessly floating around the forest. If they weren't guarding something, they'd be busy slaughtering civilians in that village back there." He gestures back the way they came, before pausing. "Unless they too are cultists... Something to kee in mind for later. Let's push on here, though."

dungeonmaster heathy |

The little group plods on; reaching the other side of the valley, they trek up an easy slope; it's muddy and there's a few slidebacks, but nothing bonebreaking or life-threatening. Monkeys chatter in the trees and you see a few (metagame spoiler)
As you crest the next hill, you can see the ocean bordering another vale which has a trickling creek down the center of it spilling into a tidepool on the waterfront. There's a stretch of white sandy beach, and about 5 iguanas mulling about on the dunes.
About half a mile across the dip, there's another hill that stretches to the edge of the ocean; then there's a great stone arch about 250 feet tall, an inverted "U" of rock that extends out into the sea from there.
On top of the actual hill is a ruin, a squat squarish affair, maybe 100 feet on a side, with columned cloisters around the main building.
Perhaps 30 feet in front of this building is an almost impossible to miss campfire, with less than 10 huddled, robed figures squatting around it. It's about 2:30 p.m. by your A.C.M.E. sundial watch.

Oso Legumbe |

Do them robes disguise birdlike features or is it Kenku we Kan see?
Oso slides his sword away and nods to Altai. "Gittik can fly there is seconds, maybe Elgan and someone else gets that fly spell you offered before. And they stay back as a reserve while the rest of us just walk over without a care in the world."
