Dimitrious Black |

I will follow behind quietly and keep looking around for trouble.
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27

Ransaq |

Conceal Thoughts will grant me a +10 to bluff vs someone trying to discern my true intentions, just in case;) Also grants a bonus to saves if someone tries to read my mind, though I doubt that would be an issue here.
"Harassing a woman for doing her job? I guess it's true then, chivalry is dead." Ransaq pauses for a moment and looks around. "So what were you trying to accomplish? I'm pretty resourceful ya know, maybe I can help."

'Adalric |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Seeing that Ransaq's handling whatever's going on and that Dimitrious is providing backup, Adalric heads back to the museum.
Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Azrin decides to play it cool and keep trying to tail them.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
But since he continues to fail utterly, he breaks off and leaves, not wanting to spoil the apparent plan.

Ransaq |

Ha! Nice save lady. Lol
"I see. So how's it look from where you're standin? Most people think the wards to be impenetrable. They'd be surprised if they knew the truth."
Bluff: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30 You may want to read Conceal Thoughts. If I'm using it wrong then subtract 10 from this result.

Marian Ceville |

Sorry bout my absence, had a crazy weekend. Do we have some sort of signal whistle or other...gathering call?
Marian follows behind the captain, packing his pipe. He looks around wondering what the lot of them should do to keep busy while Ransaq has his friendly chat with this young woman.
Well, no doubt the museum's tied up for the rest of the day...I suggest a regrouping and a drink before we hunt down more leads, just to get the boys on the same page.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Keepin' an eye out for bad guys and pickpcokets...

Dimitrious Black |

I will continue to follow Ransaq and keep an eye out for trouble
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18

Addams Family DM |

So Ransaq is talking to the woman while Dimitrious is watching in the shadows.
The wards are well-placed and effective. Their main problem is the speed at which they can be set.
Adalric and the captain are heading back to the museum which is now empty as the guards go through each of the five floors to check all the wards.
What are Marian and Azrin going to do since everyone else is busy?

Addams Family DM |

Upwards of three hours on a false alarm she says. But if something actually did happen, it could easily be over 5. You've heard about their construct soldiers correct? Imagine how hard it is to repair a small army of them. Not to mention paying wizards to recast expired spells, though most of them do have permanency in play.

Dimitrious Black |

I will continue tailing our perp, whilst keeping an eye out for trouble
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22
Adalric would be a lot better at this

Ransaq |

"Wow" Ransaq displays a curious look on his face. "How do you fall into this line of work anyway? Does the museum hire you directly or do you work through a third party?"

"Captain Andoran" |

Andy shrugs in response to Adalric's question, even as he moves to begin checking the perimeter of the museum.
"Nope, no idea. Just, something about her seemed odd and when she noticed me noticing her? She began evading. Ran seems to have her in tow for now. We'll see what he comes up with."
Andy, however, has his attention fixed upon the building and its perimeter for now.
Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

"Captain Andoran" |

*Nods* Thank you master DM.
Andy continues to carefully peruse the museum for quite some time....At least for as long as there are people bustling about on the streets for him to mingle with.
His purpose is, as it has been, two fold. To watch the building for signs of people/miscreants doing/preparing to do something and also to try and watch for people 'Just watching'...
Though, as evening draws closer he makes it known to those of the group still about that he's going to return to their arraigned meeting place.

Ransaq |

"Well I don't aim ta cause ya bad business," Ransaq glances around "and it appears yur safe now, so I guess I'll be on my way. You take care miss." Ransaq flashes her a quick smile and walks away.
He heads back to the museum to see who's there. When he sees Andy and Adalric, he approaches. "Afternoon gents. Where's Azrin?"
Edited a few times lol, I think I got it right now

Dimitrious Black |

*As Ransaq is leaving, I will make my presence known to him*
So we heading back?

Ransaq |

*As Ransaq is leaving, I will make my presence known to him*
So we heading back?
Ransaq slows for just a moment to address Dimitri as he passes. "Keep an eye on her. Find out everything you can about the people she's about to meet with. I'm fairly certain they're the thieves we pursue. When your finished we'll be waiting for you at the inn."

He heads back to the museum to see who's there. When he sees Andy and Adalric, he approaches. "Afternoon gents. Where's Azrin?"
"Right here." Azrin says from behind Ransaq. "I attempted to follow, but things went... poorly."

Dimitrious Black |

Ransaq slows for just a moment to address Dimitri as he passes. "Keep an eye on her. Find out everything you can about the people she's about to meet with. I'm fairly certain they're the thieves we pursue. When your finished we'll be waiting for you at the inn."
Very well, I will do my best. See if Adalric could come along his skills would do us well
*I will follow the woman to wherever she heads to*
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29

Ransaq |

"It's no matter. Our sneaky halfling friend continues pursuit. I told him when he's finished that we'd meet him at the inn. He requested Adalric join him." He looks at Adalric, "I can take you to where I saw him last if you can track him from there." Ransaq pulls out a cigar, lights it and takes a puff. "The woman was sent by a third party to inspect security. Its a pretty obvious wager who'd be interested in paying for such information. She's on her way to meet them now."

'Adalric |

Adalric smacks his forehead with an open palm. "Looks like I picked the wrong group to talk to. I hadn't realized you were coming back here so soon. All right, lead me back to where you left her, and I'll try to pick up the trail again. Hopefully Dimitri managed to leave a marker or two."
From an outside perspective, this is actually rather funny. We're setting off alarms, splitting the party, subtly interrogating people, following/not following people. Our original plan's been completely derailed. ;-)

Ransaq |

lol, yeah for sure. that's what happens though. stuff pops up and you gots ta stop and take a look. we can still continue to pursue the original plan after this though
Ransaq leads Adalric to the point he last saw Dimitrious. "Be careful, we don't yet know who we're dealing with. A little recon is all we need right now. I'll wait for you guys at the inn."

Addams Family DM |

Adalric-There are side entrances all along the perimeter of the museum and a couple of fire escape ladders from the second and third floors, but nothing on the top two levels.
The group finally pulls back together at the inn. As the day gets darker and the sun passes behind the rooftops of the city buildings, the inn begins to get fuller, for at midnight, the week of festivities begins. In the evening and dinner hours, the cooks of the inn begin setting out their wines and ales. Food pours nonstop from the kitchen in the back, delicacies of all sorts from across the inner sea. Patrons try to sample a preview of the food and drink but are swatted away by the barkeep and cleaning woman.

Ransaq |

I think Adalric was asking about the building the woman went into.
Also, it may be better to talk to our black market connection before it gets late. Thoughts?

Marian Ceville |

Mary follows Ransaq's lead back to the inn, grinning happily as he sets down his armaments, orders a pint, and soaks in the evening glow. After a while he turns to a stranger
"Scuse me there, sir (Madame), but I'm from far out of town, you see. Would you mind cluin' me in as to what this week of festivities is for?"
