Thanks for the extra time, I just got back online, my Powersupply took the motherboard and a few other things with it when it surged and died. So I pretty much had to total rebuild.
I will get him from paper to a profile tonight or in the morning if possible, I have a few things to catch up on. Sorry for holding you guys up

I've gone through the posts and this is what I've been able to determine that we have for loot.
From Tsuto:
- Tsuto's Journal
The maps depict different attack plans. One set of maps shows plans for an attack on Sandpoint by a group of thirty goblins, and one of these maps is circled; this looks like the attack that happened days ago. Following the circled map is the following passage: The raid went about as planned. Few Thistletop goblins perished, and we were able to secure Tobyn's casket with ease while the rubes were distracted by the rest. I can't wait until the real raid. This town deserves a burning, that's for sure.
Another set of maps shows another attack on Sandpoint by a force of two-hundred goblins, but none of these circled, and some of them have been scratched out. Following this second batch of maps is another passage: Ripnuggest seems to favor the overwhelming land approach, but I don't think it's the best plan. We should get the quasit's aid. Send her freaks up from below via the smuggling tunnel in my father's Glassworks, and then invade from the river and from the Glassworks in smaller, more focused strikes. The rest, except Bruthazmus, agree, and I'm pretty sure the bugbear's just being contrary to annoy me. My love's too distracted with the lower chambers to make a decision...says once that Malfeshnekor's released and under her command, we won't need to worry about being subtle. I hope she's right.
Most of the erotic drawings of the woman depict her as a normal aasimar. A drawing on one of the last pages, however, shows the woman with demonic hands, bat wings, horns, a forked tail, and wings. Right before this drawing is another written entry of interest. My love seems bent on going through with it - nothing I can say convinces her of her beauty. She remains obsessed with with removing what she calls 'Celestial taint' and replacing it with her mother's grace. Burning her father's remains at the Thistletop shrine seems to have started the transformation, but I can't say her new hand is pleasing me. Hopefully when she offers Sandpoint to Lamashtu's fires, her new body won't be as hideous. Maybe I'll luck out. Succubi are demons too, aren't they?

I've gone through the posts and this is what I've been able to determine that we have for loot.
From Tsuto:
- Tsuto's Journal ** spoiler omitted **...
Markum:
Someone eventually identifies the ring as a ring of Create Water with 20 charges remaining, worth 200 gp. Splitting the loot found on Tsuto four ways, you get 120 gp, or 70 gp if you take the ring. Splitting the coin adds 10 pp, 2 gp, 5 sp.Markum and Praxim:
You can sell the loot found in the catacombs for 119 gp, 5 sp per person. The magical sword is a +1 scimitar.
Praxim |
Praxim would like to keep the silver dagger, although he recommends that somebody else hang onto it. If they encounter something that needs the damage reduction bypassing properties of the silver, he'll likely be able to smite his way through.
They should also hang onto the +1 scimitar (magical weapons don't exactly grow on trees as far as he's concerned). If they ever go to a larger town, they might be able to trade it in for something more practical.
How does that affect their coin?

Real Life has jumped up and smacked me in the face recently. As a consequence my posting will be rather erratic for a bit as I only have access at work.
================================================================
Markum has been using the Scimitar.
We don't really need the Create Water effect, so I suggest selling the ring.
Markum can hold onto the dagger as well until someone better able to utilize it comes along.

Jathal, give me a reason for being in Sandpoint.
Sorry, been having some major RL issues and as a result my pbp posting have suffered.I just do not know if I can keep up at this time. As much as I was looking forward to this game I think I am gonna have to bow out before you introduce me. I do not want your game to suffer because I can not keep up for the next few weeks.
Sorry to inconvenience you and I really appreciate the invite.
Quinion Trepanar |
Not sure what happened, but the 'new post' indicator hasn't shown up for me on either of the threads, so I'd assumed that no one else had posted. I checked the thread on a lark only to find that things have been awaiting response for some time.
My apologies. I've posted in the main thread now.
Varisian Chronicler |
I've decided to level everyone up at this point, so everyone is level 3. Increase BAB, saves, skills, special abilities, feats, and whatever else as necessary. Assume you're fully rested and healed, so current HP is at max, all spell slots are unused, per day abilities are at max, etc. The increase to max HP is half max die roll + 1.
Praxim |
Praxim is upgraded to third level paladin. I toyed with switching to an archetype like Divine Defender, but in the end opted to go with a plain old normal paladin. I also looked at the new racial traits in the APG, and while woodcraft would be thematically appropriate, I also opted to stick with a plain old normal elf.
But then I noticed that I had forgotten to include his +1 hp per level for favoured class, so I added that in. He now has a max of 24 hp.
Rhianni Verdani |
Last Festival of the year starts on Thursday until Monday...
..you know by now...not a lost of posting will be going on, so BOTing is allowed.
This one is a local festival....Wickham Festival..(I work on this one).
Praxim |
I finally got a look at some of the Ultimate Combat stuff, and was wondering if it would be okay to switch Praxim to the Divine Hunter archetype? The archetype doesn't replace anything he's already used, save for the aura of courage (against the fight with these hounds).
It's your call; no biggie either was.
Rhianni Verdani |
So what do we do with
a) the bodyguard? ... take him with us to help?
b) the magic user type .... Rhianni will never suggest it, but knocking her out for a good long while might help...
c) how do we approach this big evil nasty boss woman, any tactics, what resources do we have...Chi only really has grease and vanish, 2 rounds...?
d) who wants the cloak?
Dax Thura |
a- Let him go, but make sure he leaves. We can't trust him to not turn on us. Otherwise tie him up and knock him out. We can take him back with us when we return to Sandpoint.
b- Tie her up and knock her out. We take her back with us when we return to Sandpoint. Otherwise just kill her now.
c- I'm down on hit points and have one first level and two second level spells. That boss is also going to have the bugbear with her. The smart thing would be to take our prisoners back to town and return tomorrow after we've healed up.
d- Quinion should get it. If he doesn't want it, Markum would be glad to have it.
Quinion Trepanar |
Quinion is definitely passing on the cloak, for a number reasons (none of them tactical).
I'd definitely tie up and knock out the wizard, regardless of our next step.
If we decide to press forward, then I think our best choice is to give the bodyguard the chance to earn his release by assisting us. Note that Quinion still has a healing potion that Markum can use presuming he mentions the need.
If we leave, I think we set ourselves up for ambush if/when we return.
Rhianni Verdani |
Rhianni has used up all her 1st level bard spells, so no more healing.
Still has Vanish (2 rounds) and grease left, 5 spells in total, only 4 rounds of bardic performance and a couple of daze.
I agree that Rhianni would support Quinion in his plan to take let the body guard earn his freedom, though I expect him to run away pretty quickly.
Knock out and tie up mage, disguise Rhianni in the mage/clerics clothes...
So Rhianni could try and get the BBEG to come out after her, then from behind doors you get surprise, flank etc. maybe...use the bodyguard to help with the believability/bluff.
Or before entering cast vanish on 2 people they have to get to BBEG in a round, surprise, flank on BBEG. Use mage's clothes again to bluff way and occupy BBEG's mind whilst Vanished people get to her..
Any other ideas for BBEG. to try and separate bugbear and BBEG...and to enable us to get surprise and flanking very quickly.
I asume that the bodyguard can provide us with all the information to know about her whereabouts and if any of these plans are possible...
..gotta go to work now... time to mull over these random thoughts.
