Anna manages to stay in the saddle after the attack. Then anna tries to attack with a spear but her mount moves at the alst second disturbing her thrust. Anna you forgot the +1 for higher ground from being mounted. but still miss
The dog tries to bite anna leg again 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 141d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
anna takes 8 points of damage and needs another ride check to stay in saddle.
Anna manages to stay in the saddle after the dog bit her. Maols glaive strike misses .raised by orcs of course viscious dog. Oh and dismounting allows you to move to squares adjacent to your mount without provoking.
you can dismount behind the horse and then it can't 5 foot step towards you. Also healing hex works on yourself. but moving on. The dog now tries to attack pip with its jaws nearly getting shcoked. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Pip gets bit by its jaw and takes 6 points of damage. Party to act.
wow this dog is lucky
Maols stroke knocks the dog unconcious in one hit slicing its neck open. The orc collapsed on the ground wears a chain shirt and also has a greatclub and sling. Tucked into a pocket on his person there appears to be a small vial.
Maoldrurra swings off his horse and slashes the dog again before walking to the orc and slicing him across the neck. "Probably a scout. We should hurry." He quickly searches the orc and pockets the vial.
He approaches his companions, "Are you all right? How badly were you hurt?"
taking anything? I assume the vial even if not determine it
The road past this site seems much quieter and getting a with a few more weeds starting to grow in the road. The road seems to be a little bit shorter and climb a tiny hill. IN the distance there seems to be what might be the tiniest shining in the distance. Then the party goes down a small hill rise in the hill. the moon at this time is starting to go over highest point in the sky. Then you see the next house and and there is a small less traveled path along the way. with what might be light in the distance with being hard to tell exactly how far. The next house looks a little run down and is dark.
Pip will scout the light on the path less traveled in the distance, leaving Nimbus with the party to meld into the underbrush.
stealth:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 perception:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Pip noticies it is so far away she cannot determine if it is closing or not just in the distance. The light appears yellow. Pip also remembers that Xanders wife had a lantern.
As the party approches the next house the party seems to find little small pebbles on a path to the house that seem well rounded. The house seems appears dark small and unremarkable but there appears to be a door.
The door seems to wait a few seconds after getting a response and then you hear footsteps coming inside the house. A man inside without opening the door asks "What would you want at this time of night." Behind the door a younger voice says "Daddy I am scared".
Pip fills in some of the detail to let the farmer know there are more than one elf outside his house.
Make for franklin's farm as soon as you are able. The way should be clear behind us. diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
The man replies " This is suprising . Come on Angelica get your shoes on. Yes defending my farm agiasnt orcs with only your little daugter does not seem the wisest idea." Some footsteps are heard inside the house and then about thirty seconds later the door opens the man carrying a backpack and a little girl with one shoe on trying to put on the second.
Maol is glad the man makes no argument and is quick in his preparations.
"Xander's coming along that road. Points back the way we came. If you can meet up with them you may be safer together rather than apart. We killed an orc scout back that way a few minutes ago. If there's a road that will take you east and south before you get to Franklyn's that may also be safer than traveling along the frontier, but move fast. We plan meet you at Frankyn's and escort you into town from there, but if all four family's are ready to go before we get there, leave for Southwatch without us. We'll catch up to you if we can."
The elf thinks for a moment. "The Xanders seemed to catch up with us quite a bit, like we took the long way around. Is there a shortcut to Franklyn's?"
Route so far:
Names of the families in order as described by Eliane's husband. Last name of family #1 remains unknown. "The other farmers names are Xander, Daggin, Franklyn, Moe,and Kendal."
First family, Eliane is the wife : alerted-- loading their wagon, meeting at Franklyn's.
Xander: ready quickly and on the road to Franklyn's.
Daggin: -- man and little girl Angelica. current farm
Franklyn
Moe
Kendal
The little girl responds "It looks like a lantern. in the distance." Her father looks at her like she did something a little rude by answering a question he was asked.
Daggin says "There is not a shortcut but he lives close to my farm. It should only take 5 minutes to get there .I am good frineds with him. " DAggin grabs a backpack of some things with him and says "we should set off."
Daggin replies "There is never a good time to be ambushed by orcs" Daggin takes out a torch but has trouble keeping up with the mounts but soon enough Franklyn house comes into veiw in the moonlight. It was not very far and the party seems to be first one here Daggin is only a little bit behind with his torch. Franlyn house has a torch with a rocking chair on it.
