Timeline:
Age
6 : Parents killed. Adopted by aasimar Horavion Lighvane and Graiane Vanserian, both part of a unique religious organization, who had (for reasons of their own) been following Quiahar's development.
7-11 : Horavion and Graiane hustle Quiahar off through the southern lands, moving leisurely and allowing themselves the time to avoid the Chelish powers due to the treatment of aasimar there. During this time, Quiahar learned his adopted parents were members of the Celestine Destiny, an organiazation in Magnimar devoted to assisting Aasimar fleeing from Cheliax, and also students of Ascendancy. The organization stretches from Absalom to Varisia and beyond.
12 : Horavion and Graiane leave Quiahar with a mysterious elf in Absalom, have a conversation in the strange language which Quiahar still does not understand but there are familiar words and syllables. Quiahar is blindfolded, and through magical means of travel he has no clue about the specifics, he is taken to Tian Xia and dropped off at a monastery.
13-20 : Quiahar trains as a monk in the Garden of Temporal Passage, learning the Tian language in the process.
21-22 : Quiahar circles through the lands of Tian Xia, making a circular pilgrimage of curiosity and flow.
22 : Quiahar returns to the monastery and is taken again by the mysterious elf, blindfolded, and returned to Absalom.
23 : Quiahar spends time wandering the northern nations of the Inner Sea region; he learns the elven language in Kyonin and discovers something unusual about his parents.
24 : He joins some of the fighting magi of Kyonin for a conflict with a rogue "kingdom" of the River Kingdoms, and also patrols the border with Razmarin.
25 : Learning more about his elven heritage, Quiahar is again surprisingly chosen as their champion (despite his human ancestry) for a tournament in Absalom. He learns the style of magic known as the Spell Dance, augmenting his unusual dancing and performance style.
26 : Although he did not win the tournament, his combat techniques did attract a good noble, Lady Marsissa who had need of a secret bodyguard. While assisting her in a research matter, Quiahar found out more about a diabolic cult in Magnimar, where his parents died mysteriously, and learns more about their search for a particular birthmark (one he bears, unfortunately). Interested in finding out more about these cults, Quiahar books a passage for Sargava after ending his term of employment on good terms.
Appearance (See the Visual Inspiration link above)
Although not particularly attractive, Quiahar is well muscled, lithe, and has a golden tan from many travels. Thick black hair is usually tucked beneath a hood unless he is performing, and his sparkling silver eyes are unusual to say the least. His skin is weather-worn, and somewhat resistant to the elements, as a look of perpetual youth has settled over him the more he has wandered. He wears beautiful colored scarves tucked into golden armbands on his upper arms, and either loose-fitting monk's attire of purple silks or travels bare chested. When he is bare-chested, a diamond shaped birthmark is plainly visible in the center of his chest.
Background Quiahar cannot remember where he was born, but his parents died when he was very young, and he was raised by aasimar. The aasimar taught him the virtues of wisdom, the power and nature of the life energy that flows through all things. He has wandered many of the nations of Golarion and from every city and locale he visits, he accepts a souvenir (usually gifted, but sometimes stolen) of ornamentation, whether it be a scrap of ribbon, an exotic scarf, even a belt clasp or broach. In the far eastern lands of the Dragon Empires he learned to use the exotic nine section whip, and over his journeys picked up further techniques of the special training only available to those who train their bodies as weapons. Over his journeys he discovered two things of strange import to him. First, that he can bring the badly injured and dying back to life with a mere touch. Secondly, that as he gathered various colors and belts and learned to use two of the exotic whips as a graceful if deadly ballet, that he was a natural dancer, and easily picked up movements that were as entertaining as they could be deadly. This didn't really bother him much, it was just another part of the mysterious world, and he had already experienced many of the mysteries it could offer up. (Look at the Timeline Above for more character history.)
Personality
Although he does not remember his young childhood, or much about his parents at all except that they died in mysterious circumstances, he does remember the aasimar who took him in. They taught him to be curious about life in general, an inquisitive nature that has served him well in all the places he has been to. There is a certain level of sadness that he bears, the absence of a family, not knowing where he belongs. He has come to the conclusion that he belongs nowhere in particular, and long years of meditating in the Gardens of Temporal Passage have granted him serenity of mind if not strength of character. Time away from the Gardens with their all-too-silent meditations has shown Quiahar what he truly loves, the circles of the Dance. Movement, spirals, circles, curves. From meditating on the natural agility required to use his weapons, to the pure joy of movement in and of itself, Quiahar has found his strength and revels in it. The movements of dance have become a meditation for him. As he discovered his elven heritage, through his mother's side, Quiahar began to understand why. Magic flows through his veins, not strong, perhaps. But there in small amounts. Remnants of another time, another place, another way of existence. He had not the knowledge to tap into those memories, but the instinct was there; that he could feel. Until the time when he could feel and know more clearly what he was achieving through dance and circles and spirals and the other geometric forms of life, he was content to follow the opportunities that his travels allowed him.
Passage to Sargava
It was a strange book that led him to this point. One that he found while assisting his former employer research strange diabolic cults outside of the Chelish authority. Much of the book was indecipherable, written in a code he did not have the ability to comprehend. One thing he could clearly make out, though: a map of the shores of Sargava.
