Well if Leon is still in then that a quartet we can continue with. You don't have to be a detective to see and observe or talk to people. My problem is MINOTAR is a little to scary-looking to norms who don't know him so he avoids stomping around unless he's on 'official JL business' and can't break anything too easily...

Its too bad Kestrel dropped. She was a really useful character concept and fun idea.

I may have to look into getting a 'holographic' alter ego or something.

So...do we want to try and do a soft re-boot here? I'm unsure where to take this now. I don't want to give up, but...

If we go for a reboot I could move a few points around at the GM's okay, try to be a bit more detective-ish. Like Straightjacket and Coldwar, Paper wasn't build to be a detective type.

There's not much logic in making Straightjacket into a detective. However his dad would likely be useful.

We can soft reboot if you guys would like to do so. Did you want to try a different tack; maybe less detective work? If so, I'll drop this case (and let someone else handle it in-world) and move on to something else.

That makes more sense. We're more of a 'rock'em and sock'em' group right now, than 'mystery-detective' stuff.

May I suggest, WhtKnt, that you tell us what game that you want/plan to run. Maybe compare it to known books, tv, or movies.

Then, we can recalibrate our characters.

Okay, we'll call this one passed off to another hero. Flash can take care of it, as they are from his Rogue's Gallery. Meantime, give me a day or two to reassess and I'll set the stage for something new with a bit more adventure to it.

Hey guys, I just wanted to run something past everyone. I was gonna retcon Leon's story a little bit. I asked WhtKnt and he said to go ahead and post it here.

Still the ex-thief part, but he has been working with ARGUS for awhile. Being assigned to the group wasn't a punishment for him like he told them. In actuality he was put on the team as a kind of 'stress test' for them initially. This could be the reason for his 'rough' mannerisms towards the group in the beginning, but why he so quickly was willing to help without any real problems.
Basically he was there to see how the team would react/function with a disruptive influence. After the first encounter though, with 2 members 'pulled away' for other work (i.e. the loss of Kestrel and Tabula Rosa apparently) there isn't much reason to maintain the deception.
And with the loss of manpower he volunteers to stay with them and offer his assistance on the condition he is allowed to clear the air with them and ARGUS agrees.

Is everyone is okay with this? I just didn't want there to be any tension going forward.

Unfortunately, I have some bad news. I currently do not have access to my main account. I have opened a ticket to Paizo, but from the email I got back from them, it's not looking like I'll be able to access my account any time soon.

I would have posted sooner but I didn't even think about making an alt until now.

As it's not fair to everyone to make them wait, I'm going to withdraw from the game. If I get me account fixed and the game is still ongoing, I'll reach back out to see about joining.

So what's the exact context of my being new? Like, assigned to the team, eager aspirant, was always a part of the org but never been center stage before, etc.?

Its kind of up to you I think. My character concept was a new-born AI in a tough robot's body. I was 'technically' a prisoner (under watch) and only a few day old when I performed my first mission for the JL. The GM went with it. Try something that works for you...and we will all jump on board.

Can I get a quick synopsis of what's going on? It seems you recently stopped a plane from crashing that spontaneously combusted or some such (still a mystery)?

From a look at the discussion, your first crisis was also a plane crash...is there some epidemic spate of plane crashes that you're investigating or just a coincidence since that's kind of a common thing in comics.

Just a coincidence, actually. But yes, the spontaneous fire aboard the aircraft is a bit of a mystery (and more will be uncovered as the plot progresses). However, the mystery is not the focus of the adventure at hand. It's a side effect, as it were. They are also faced with a mystery break-in at a sperm bank (yes, you read that right). Nothing seemed to have been taken or disturbed, but the vault door was torn from its hinges by someone with considerable strength and there was a crushed cockroach on the floor.

That pretty much sums it up.

Perspective info:
1. We know the cockroach is not from the Biomedical facility. Too clean a location to allow a cockroach inside it.
2. MINOTAR believes something odd caused the plane fire, but does not have the skills (or sensors) to figure them out yet. Hopefully the FAA investigation will reveal something.
3. We have no idea if the vault or the fire are related, nor does anybody suspect so yet in our group I believe...

LOCATION/Base: We have a small JL facility hidden in the Rockies near the town, and a single Javelin at our disposal and I am currently the only member of the group with the skill enough to fly it. We have a small technical crew to maintain the base and aid us, but they are perfunctory at best. We have our own rooms and a 'training area'(Not detailed), as well as minor access to the JL database and communications. We each have our own JL provided comms (mine is built in and set to the JL frequency).

Just a quick note to say that I'm still here, but I'm working on cleaning out and reclaiming my man-cave (which has become a household storage/dumping ground). This is a lengthy process (as a couple of my bookshelves had broken and I got replacements). Anyway, I will try to update as possible, but please be patient if waiting on me, or bot me if I am holding things up. This should be done by next week.

I've not forgotten you guys, just been very busy. I should have a post tomorrow or Tuesday.
