That is terrible. I am sorry to hear it. Take the time you need.

We will be back in action soon. I'm determining where I want to take this thing next. :)
Voltage. |
Sounds good.
Voltage. |
I was more saying that I was good for whatever you wanted. Voltage is not able to survive in space one day, but we can work on getting there.

Yes...I think so?
I also believe I lost track of my XPs at some point, although I think I have spent all but these last 3 pts we just got.
I may have more XPs than I thought?
When I have time I will see if I can do a search here and see if I can add all them up over time.

GAMEMASTER ... a number, please!
I really want to sit and review Rigel's spaceworthiness, and the number would really help. I will take a look shortly, but I feel like I may have spent the first couple points, and then banked the rest for bigger improvements.
When you have a sec WhtKnt, totally not a rush :)
WhtKnt |
I BELIEVE the number is 15, but... oh, what the hey? Make it an even (well, odd) 15.
Voltage. |
Do we all have that? If so I think I have quite a bit to spend.
WhtKnt |
Yes, everyone has 15 points minus what you have already used, and yes, you are PL9 now.

I am going to Disney World from tomorrow through the 12th of November. Please stand by and on my return we will continue.

Hello, I will be on vacation from now through Jan 8th. I will have access to the internet, but I am not sure how much I will be able to post. Bot me as needed. Happy New Years!
WhtKnt |
Okay, looks like we've lost Rigel. I'll make a new post tomorrow and you all have my profuse apologies.
Rigel Kentaurus |
Not lost ... and I apologize. Hospitality is a hard industry this time of year. It is 341am, I just finished closing from NYE and I am pretty exhausted. Exhausted & apologetic. We may recall that when I had more time (unemployment) I couldn't handle how slow we went; well, here we are, I'm the problem. Give me tomorrow? I'm kind of off on Monday ...
WhtKnt |
S'alright. I understand time management and the impossibility that it is. I'll wait for you to post today and then catch up.

I don't have a problem making most basic command decisions for the group or whatever...
But this situation is very much up in the air.
How would you all like us to move forward? React as if there was no test at all, call out our 'teachers' for bad form, or move forward assuming the test was intended for us to fail and let them gauge our reactions to it? Or something else all together?
Let's take a quick vote. Let me know what you think guys. (I know Voltage is busy so let's hope he has some basic internet available at least.)
=)

We should alllllllllll react like Rigel has (finally) ...
Act like this is a test of resourcefulness.
'Rigel' was really struggling, let me tell you
SO
'Rigel' watch the extended cut of Green Lantern, and 'Rigel' re-read all of your character sheets, and Rigel hasn't even proposed Operation Cue Ball (using all of our powers and the Javilin like a pool stick to alter vectors)
The essence of being in the League is thinking outside of every possible box: that is why some of its best stories had guest stars and guests members I think.
Project M.I.N.O.T.A.R |
Fair enough.
Resourcefulness is one thing, but there are basic limitations on our powers as well, like range and strength of each.
If that big an asteroid broke up quickly, I don't think the pieces would be close enough together for your ring to 'grab' them all, even with SJ's help.
As we continue without calling out our mentors, we may need to just split up and each deal with one of the big rocks in our own way.
4 players...4 big rocks. + Martian Manhunter if he is still willing to help.
It kind-of makes sense that way, although I'm unsure if SJ can affect an asteroid directly by himself, but maybe with help like Rigel is suggesting? We do have a couple of Hero NPCs in the Javelin with us too if I remember correctly.
*Voltage can probably blast or even melt a rock apart on his own...
**Rigel could crush or deflect one rock at least, maybe two with SJ's help. Maybe just bash two of the closest rocks together?
***I can possibly take out the fourth, but it would cost us the Javelin in the process I fear...Unless there is an armed satellite I could hack into and launch kill missiles at one. Or convince the various government Airforces to fly intercepts on the falling rocks?
To many variables...and space is pretty vast and dangerous for me to assume too much at the moment. Options are there, but what is the best chance/pattern/choices? I don't know.
In the end I would like some basic guidance from the GM on the rock details...mainly speed, direction, possible density:
*Basic Example!
There are 4 Large rocks, each is heading roughly in opposite directions, but still toward the earth. Range to the closest rock is XX miles and the farthest is XX miles. Estimated time to atmosphere insertion at most points is less than 1 minute (or something like that) and time to possible impact is less than 2 minutes...
Or something like that. I kinda feel like we are flailing around in the dark a bit without a little more to go on if we want to really try and pass the test.
Voltage. |
I will be trying to break one up more. We can also just keep breaking them or just aim them at the ocean.

What is happening to me: I am asking for a pass for the next few days. On Tuesday, my father-in-law collapsed and went into heart failure. They revived him and took him to the ICU where he has been since. Yesterday evening, he was talking and sitting up and asking for water when we left visiting hours. We no sooner got home when they called to tell us that he had coded again (this is the fourth time in as many days). He is currently in cascading organ failure. We have him on dialysis to try to clear his kidneys and jump-start his metabolism, but right now, the only thing keeping him alive is the ventilator and the pacemaker they put in. I don't know how long this will go on, but I ask if I fall behind, you be understanding.
