Rigel is pre-wired for space also, good vote!

Space is fine, SJ doesn't breathe anyway. Not really good at getting around though without flight however.

I think that is half the reason the JLA keeps Green Lantern around ... to carry peple ;)

Space, eh? Hmmm. Give me a few days...

I was more saying that I was good for whatever you wanted. Voltage is not able to survive in space one day, but we can work on getting there.

That's what the Javelin's for. And XP...

Masculine Presenting Proto-Guardian Blue Ring Bearer - PL10

okay, question: since inception, how much XP have we gained?
it's time for me to actually update Rigel ...

CONSTRUCT (PL8) Dodge 8, Parry 8, Fortitude 'Immune', Toughness 10, Will 6; Status:

For the 4th dimensional being encounter we earned a total of 6 xps I think.

Masculine Presenting Proto-Guardian Blue Ring Bearer - PL10

and it was 4 for defeating the villain super team?

CONSTRUCT (PL8) Dodge 8, Parry 8, Fortitude 'Immune', Toughness 10, Will 6; Status:

Yes...I think so?

I also believe I lost track of my XPs at some point, although I think I have spent all but these last 3 pts we just got.

I may have more XPs than I thought?

When I have time I will see if I can do a search here and see if I can add all them up over time.

I've been banking it for a while. I've got to figure out how much shapeshifting will cost me for just basic shapes. I don't need to get to animal forms or disguises.

Masculine Presenting Proto-Guardian Blue Ring Bearer - PL10

GAMEMASTER ... a number, please!

I really want to sit and review Rigel's spaceworthiness, and the number would really help. I will take a look shortly, but I feel like I may have spent the first couple points, and then banked the rest for bigger improvements.

When you have a sec WhtKnt, totally not a rush :)

I BELIEVE the number is 15, but... oh, what the hey? Make it an even (well, odd) 15.

EXCELLENT!!!

Do we all have that? If so I think I have quite a bit to spend.

Masculine Presenting Proto-Guardian Blue Ring Bearer - PL10

and I apologize, I forgot to ask, 'cause "15" is the magic number: id it JUST 15 points, or is the Team PL9 now?

Yes, everyone has 15 points minus what you have already used, and yes, you are PL9 now.

Masculine Presenting Proto-Guardian Blue Ring Bearer - PL10

Yay us!!!

Oh, PL 9. Nice.

I'll get on that.

Okay, looks like we've lost Rigel. I'll make a new post tomorrow and you all have my profuse apologies.

Happy New Year all.

Not lost ... and I apologize. Hospitality is a hard industry this time of year. It is 341am, I just finished closing from NYE and I am pretty exhausted. Exhausted & apologetic. We may recall that when I had more time (unemployment) I couldn't handle how slow we went; well, here we are, I'm the problem. Give me tomorrow? I'm kind of off on Monday ...

I will try and post tonight. Although the questions Rigel posed to me will have to be answered by the GM.

Did the asteroid seem to break up too easily? As if it was structurally unsound or something?

I don't have a problem making most basic command decisions for the group or whatever...

But this situation is very much up in the air.

How would you all like us to move forward? React as if there was no test at all, call out our 'teachers' for bad form, or move forward assuming the test was intended for us to fail and let them gauge our reactions to it? Or something else all together?

Let's take a quick vote. Let me know what you think guys. (I know Voltage is busy so let's hope he has some basic internet available at least.)

=)

We should alllllllllll react like Rigel has (finally) ...

Act like this is a test of resourcefulness.

'Rigel' was really struggling, let me tell you
SO
'Rigel' watch the extended cut of Green Lantern, and 'Rigel' re-read all of your character sheets, and Rigel hasn't even proposed Operation Cue Ball (using all of our powers and the Javilin like a pool stick to alter vectors)

The essence of being in the League is thinking outside of every possible box: that is why some of its best stories had guest stars and guests members I think.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

We all want to be proper Justice League members, so we continue with the test as if it were real. Calling out the tester is not an option if we wish to remain in the group. If we don't trust as prestigious a hero as Martian Manhunter, we might as well just form our own group.

CONSTRUCT (PL8) Dodge 8, Parry 8, Fortitude 'Immune', Toughness 10, Will 6; Status:

Fair enough.

Resourcefulness is one thing, but there are basic limitations on our powers as well, like range and strength of each.

If that big an asteroid broke up quickly, I don't think the pieces would be close enough together for your ring to 'grab' them all, even with SJ's help.

As we continue without calling out our mentors, we may need to just split up and each deal with one of the big rocks in our own way.

4 players...4 big rocks. + Martian Manhunter if he is still willing to help.

It kind-of makes sense that way, although I'm unsure if SJ can affect an asteroid directly by himself, but maybe with help like Rigel is suggesting? We do have a couple of Hero NPCs in the Javelin with us too if I remember correctly.

*Voltage can probably blast or even melt a rock apart on his own...

**Rigel could crush or deflect one rock at least, maybe two with SJ's help. Maybe just bash two of the closest rocks together?

***I can possibly take out the fourth, but it would cost us the Javelin in the process I fear...Unless there is an armed satellite I could hack into and launch kill missiles at one. Or convince the various government Airforces to fly intercepts on the falling rocks?

To many variables...and space is pretty vast and dangerous for me to assume too much at the moment. Options are there, but what is the best chance/pattern/choices? I don't know.

In the end I would like some basic guidance from the GM on the rock details...mainly speed, direction, possible density:

*Basic Example!
There are 4 Large rocks, each is heading roughly in opposite directions, but still toward the earth. Range to the closest rock is XX miles and the farthest is XX miles. Estimated time to atmosphere insertion at most points is less than 1 minute (or something like that) and time to possible impact is less than 2 minutes...

Or something like that. I kinda feel like we are flailing around in the dark a bit without a little more to go on if we want to really try and pass the test.

Masculine Presenting Proto-Guardian Blue Ring Bearer - PL10

I kinda feel like it would play out that way too
(not over metagame it, but yeah)
-slingshot
-slingshot
-tough slingshot
-too much re-entry happening, how will you deal with the final meteor?

-oops, Atlantic City is destroyed ...

What is happening to me: I am asking for a pass for the next few days. On Tuesday, my father-in-law collapsed and went into heart failure. They revived him and took him to the ICU where he has been since. Yesterday evening, he was talking and sitting up and asking for water when we left visiting hours. We no sooner got home when they called to tell us that he had coded again (this is the fourth time in as many days). He is currently in cascading organ failure. We have him on dialysis to try to clear his kidneys and jump-start his metabolism, but right now, the only thing keeping him alive is the ventilator and the pacemaker they put in. I don't know how long this will go on, but I ask if I fall behind, you be understanding.

Take your time. Family is far more important. We can wait.
