Round 2, HP 8/8, AC 18
Boiko didn't have much combat experience, and when he saw people, including innocent bystanders, scream and bleed under the Goblin knives, he felt as if his heart is going to implode with fear and grief. Suddenly, he noticed something small and bright - a swallowtail butterfly - flying past him. Focusing his emotions onto the butterfly, as if hoping that the creature would convey them to their divine patron, Boiko spread his arms and felt the divine energy flowing from his body.
Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 4, everyone within 30 feet gets healed by 2 HP and gets a bonus on one roll (attack roll, CMB check, saving throw, or skill check) made before the end of Round 2. I am excluding two goblins from this effect.


Rohan you fell your goblin in one strike, but goblin V has been slain already. That attack will likely hit the prone goblin you just felled, so we'll treat it as that, okay?

Boiko, just a heads up, the crowd is going to withdraw to the south at the end of this round, so you might want to adjust your action.

Still waiting for Akrem and Valeria, and as of Zavac's turn the only surviving goblin is goblin 3, and not for long, I'm sure. Congrats, folks.

Lohrgan creeps forward as he slips his shield from his back, juxtaposing himself between the final goblin and the injured woman as he swings his axe once more into the creature.

Damage Roll: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

That's a kill, right?

"You are injured," Lohrgan observes, looking over his shoulder at the woman as he pries his axe from the goblin's skull. "Can you stand? Do you require help?"

Round 1: 13/13hp, no effects

Finally seeing what is going on around him, Akrem takes a step back from the goblin nearest him and after making sure no townsfolk are between him and his target, he draws and fires on the intruder.

The crowd flee to the south, the Sherrif clearing the way to the safety of the Garrison. You cover their escape and the square empties out, leaving several goblin corpses and a severely wounded blonde-haired girl. She blinks at the half-orc, drifting in and out of conciousness as the blood soaks through her clothes. The goblins run amok, singing and slashing indiscriminately as the guard, and many of the townsfolk, beat them back.

You have a brief moment of respite, and we'll jump into the next encounter tommorow.

"Keep your eyes open," Lohrgan says as he kneels by the woman, a measure of worry apparent in his voice. "Don't fall asleep." He applies pressure to the woman's wounds, doing his best to stymie the flow of blood as he shouts over the crowd. "Someone is injured here! She needs immediate attention!"

Rohan hears Lohrgan's shouting and rushes over to help. His claws retract themselves and he looks down at the girl. "We need to find a healer, fast." He tears off a piece of his shirt and uses it to bind one of her major wounds in an attempt to stabilize her.

As Zavac is cleaning the blood off his blades, he notices the two warriors beside the poor girl. He's a bit of a crazy Elf, but even so, he feels pity towards her.

"I wish I could help her," he mumbles, thinking of his horse. Apparently the Loremasters were right...I'm only good for killing things. Glancing around, he tries to spot the old man who looked like a priest. Damn, he's gone. And the Goblins are blocking the way to the Temple. Blasted creatures.

PERCEPTION:
To see if Zavac had noticed the heal he received had come from Boiko

Going towards the human man, who looked pale as a ghost, he tries to snap him out of his odd expression. "You're a healer. I felt it, earlier. That rush of power." Pointing towards the injured woman, "Quickly, man, this woman needs you!"


Boiko can't shake off the feeling that it's happening to someone else, not him.
"Yes. Yes, a healer, that I am. Hold on there lady, it's going to be alright."
First Aid: Heal Take 10 = 17.
Spending Bless Water to cast CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 HP healed.

Having made sure that the woman will live, Boiko turns to the scarred elf warrior. These... were goblins, weren't they? How did they appear in Sandpoint? How could they sneak past the guards?

Shaking his head, "That, I have no idea. I did have a run-in with them on my way to town, though. Killed my poor Star."

Glancing around, he notes more Goblins harassing the civilians. "Looks like we have more of 'em to dispose of," sneering. Back to the group around the recovering young woman, "You all seem capable. What say we stick together and get rid of the vermin together?"


The woman awakes, groaning. "Butterflies...?" she murmurs, blinking awake. She stares up at the strangers above her, fearfully. Her eyes dance from face to face. You help her to her feet.


"My guess is the guards were caught up in the festivities. Happens in sleepy towns like this. Made use of the opportunity pleanty of times myself, but never for anything..." Qualin jestures around himself, eyes falling on the injured girl. "This crass. Aye, not sure how capeable I am in a fight, but I'll do what I can to end the lives of these wretched things."

Akrem sees several people he does not recognize, plus the half orc he shared a meal with earlier in the day rush to the aid of a young woman.

As the men standing over her seem competent in their ability to help her, Akrem keeps back a bit, not wanting to crowd her, but keeps an eye out, and an arrow knocked, in case more goblins attack. He stops just briefly to acknowledge the request by the elf with a curt, "Yea, sounds fine."

"Very well." Lohrgan nods his agreement at the elf's request. "However these creatures may have gained entrance to the town, I think the immediate danger they present is more deserving of our attention. Come, once we've seen them ended, we can worry about where they came from." He hoists his axe as he surveys the field, looking for other signs of distress. Almost as an afterthought, he spares a passing glance to the nearby woman. "Will you be alright?"


The woman places her hands on her hips, her bewilderment replaced with indignation at being ignored by her saviours. She puffs up in anger, before turning on her heel in a spiral of blonde hair.

"Yes. Fine." she says curtly, drawing a foot-long breadknife concealed in her skirts and taking off down Junker's Way (West) in a huff.

Suddenly you all turn to see a burst of flame at the southernmost stall.

You turn to find two groups of goblins armed with torches. The southernmost stall is aflame and the creatures turn toward the cathedral. They are led on by two she-Goblins armed with whips and singing in shrill scratchy voices.

Rohan moves straight down closer to the goblins and draws his longspear. His eyes dart between the each of the goblins as he readies for their assault.


Would you like to make an attack? I probably should have distinguished that this isn't the surprise round, so you get both a move and a standard action. You can reach Goblin's III, IV and VI.


ooh, the longspear has the brace quality. I see what you're doing there. Sound choice.
Round: 1 Goblin Tally: 6/8 Next Action: Boiko

The three goblins spot their target, brandishing their torches in gleeful delight, but the unassuming man is ready. One of them rushes at Rohan, impaling himself on his spear.GOBLIN IV IS DOWN.

Readied Attack/AoO:

1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 x2 for 16 damage!

The she-goblin brings her whip down hard at Rohan's feet, but he springs back and readying his spear in retaliation, and as two more goblins rush at him, he fells another. GOBLIN VI IS DOWN.

Seemingly oblivious to his companions grisly fates, the remaining goblin brandishes his torch at you menacingly, showering Rohan with embers, dealing 2 points of fire damage.

Boiko follows the spear-wielding man, impressed by the prowess he has shown in slaying goblins. As the man steps back, shielding his eyes from the embers with his hand, Boiko touches him.

For the next round, any time Rohan rolls a d20, he may roll twice and take the more favorable result.


Male Half-Orc Barbarian 1

Lohrgan stalks forward, and as Sandpoint begins to burn around him, ribbons of flame dance through his eyes. Memories of demonic fire come rushing back to him, and he cannot stifle a low growl as anger begins to well up inside him. In the midst of battle, he shuts his eyes tightly, hoping to force out the familiar hate and bloodlust, but as he opens them and beholds nothing but carnage and crackling fire, he cannot hold it back. This is a battle that must be fought, and these creatures are deserving of his fury. He embraces his rage, and with a roar, he barrels forward.

Lohrgan moves forward as far as he can, and will rage at the beginning of his next round.

Silver Crusade

Male Elf Fighter 1

STATS:

Round 1, 10/12 HP, 18 AC

Zavac notes the three formidable men rush forward to meet the Goblins face on. As much as he would like to smear their blood along his blades, he decides to go for a more tactical route. Rushing towards the entrance of the new Cathedral, he readies only his Longsword in anticipation of an attack.
ACTIONS:

Zavac will move 20 feet to guard the entrance of the Cathedral, readying an attack if a Goblin comes by.


Lorghan too could make an attack if you so choose, charging goblin II.


Sorry for being apparently inactive. My computer ate a post I wrote last night without me noticing (because I went to bed). With that aside, will we get an updated encounter map next round? Valeria will be casting sleep so I'll need to see where I can drop it.

Stats:
Round 1|9/9 HP|12 AC.

For the longest time, Valeria stood still and did nothing, shocked by the Golbin attack. For a woman as intelligent as her, it took an awfully long time for her to gather wits, but gather them she did. Planting her staff in the ground, the half-elf began to chant something, her voice strong and confident.

Actions:
Casting sleep through her Arcane Bond. It goes off at the start of her next turn.


That's the plan! I'll be updating the map on a round by round basis. Any more is probably more work than necessary.


Round 2: 13/13hp, no effects

Seeing the mass of goblins rush towards them and the chapel, Akrem moves to get a clear shot at the one closest to burning the cathedral. He shouts to the others "We must keep them from burning the cathedral!" Unfortunately, his excitement got the best of him, and his shot goes wide.

Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 +1 if within 30ft
Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Alright, I'll take that charge attack, and start my rage this round while I'm at it, which makes my AC for the round 13.

In Rohan's mad flurry, the Goblin (III) throws up his torch in fright, and switches to his rusty blade, which he tries to bury in the man's leg.

Meanwhile, Goblin B attempts to flush Qualin out of cover with her whip, bringing it down with an ear-splitting crack inches from him.

Shaking off the effects of the Goblin's spell, Lohrgan lashes out at the creature standing adjacent to him.

After watching the Goblins run in the other direction, Zavac decides to help out the man in front of him. He rushes towards the ugly female goblin, slashing at her with his longsword.

I'm good with the dagger toss for my round 2 action.


With a wave her staff, blue glittering sparks flew high into the air and gently descended in a small area between the nearest two goblins. By targeting the square just behind Goblin 'V', I should be hitting both Goblin 'III' and Goblin 'V' without catching anyone else, yes? Otherwise she'll target the two over near Lohrgan without hitting the big guy. I want to see the results of the spell before I finish her action, if that's cool.

You let loose your spell and the Goblin in front of you (III) falls at your feet, snoring loudly. He curls up in the warmth of the fire and his leg begins to twitch in his sleep.

Valeria grunted in satisfaction when the goblin slumped to the floor asleep, and she turned her attention elsewhere. Dropping her staff at her feet, Valeria unslung the crossbow at her back and loaded a bolt, preparing to fire when she got a clean shot.

Actions:
Drop staff. Take out crossbow. Load bolt.


Crap, my bad

Qualin moves down and to the right 30', ending his move with two squares below the corpse of goblin VI, drawing a second dagger as he goes. If able he tosses the blade at the other whip wielding wretch...

3 range incriments, not sure if he is the area of bless any longer.


Round 2, HP 8/8, AC17 (does buckler AC apply when using touch powers or casting spells?)
Not deterred by the apparent misfortune of his ally, Boiko continued to channel Desna's blessing unto him, for he knew that Luck is a fickle but just mistress who rewards persistence as much as courage.

Thanks to Boiko's great positioning each of you should have bless. I'd also like to apologize for my sparse posting this week. My smartphones been cut off from the net, and my lovelife, work and home campaign have kept me pretty busy. I'll try to do my part not to bog combat down in future

The last of the she-goblins dashes up to the sleeping goblin, and brings its whip down hard, waking him with a start. Aid another to wake up, standard action.

Goblins I and III take a swipe at Lorghan and Valeria respectively, dropping their torches and attacking with their crude dogslicers, leaving a small gash on Valeria's arm. 1 damage.
