As Sesska flinches at the dog's continued aggressions, she replies to Kolris.

"That seems like a plan. Give it some room to run."

Once the group begins their respective actions (and nobody needs the office any longer) she drags the cage to the inner door, tosses the jerked meat portion of her trail rations into the office, loosens the cage door and closes the office door behind her.

"Ooh, that's right..." Corona responds as Kalak offers up some alternate suggestions. "Yeah, we probably want to be careful about hurting the Kortos people. Good thinking, New Friend! We can block the normal entrances instead and save the dangerous stuff for the secret entrances if we want," she nods.

"And I'll help move boxes around too," she adds as she hurries to help Kalak do just that.
______

Okay so we seem in agreement about loosing the dog in the break room. Shall we use the boxes/oil to block the main entrances and leave the poisoned dart trap and the bear trap for the secret entrances? Or just stake them out and be ready to jump whoever comes through?

Are these trap doors in the floor?

No, they're loose boards or whatnot in the walls. I think the map got moved so they looked off.

So the dog is going in the small room and being set free, got it. But I'm seeing different ideas for the doors and traps. Feel free to discuss it ooc if you want. The easiest thing for me once you decide, is for someone to draw on the map what doors are being blocked and where the traps are going.

Kalak stops and thinks for a second as she was going to pick out another crate to move. "You might have a point, Kolris. Traps on the secret doors, locks and boxes on the regular entrances, then? That might be a good idea. The big doors will be mroe difficult to block, so I think we should use the magical lock on the ones that lead to the docks. Then we can focus our attention on this part of the hangar. Does everyone agree?"

A couple of final questions and then we can begin the next part. Are you trying to block the entrances from the outside into the break room, where you have the dog? Or just the door from the breakroom into the warehouse? Also, which traps are going where. You have a bear trap and a poison trap. The poison trap is triggered when a particular object is touched, so what exactly are you attempting to trap? And finally, the traps needs to be set. Technically, it takes a Craft (traps) check to set them, but I highly doubt anyone has that, so I'll take a Disable Device roll. It's a DC 20 and failure means you set it off on yourself.

I'm also learning that this scenarios is much easier to run in person, where everyone is sitting at the map!

Grand Lodge

Female Human (Taldan) Bard (Archaeologist) 4 Portrait

I think it's probably better to block the entrance from the breakroom into the warehouse, so that the dog has to be dealt with by intruders and then they have to deal with the blocked door. Lara will set the poison dart trap to trigger when someone attempts to use the loading dock lever. The bear trap, she'll set inside the warehouse's main section in front of the single-wide door into the lower section.

I agree with your assessment here. Around the table it would take 5 minutes to organize this. In PbP it's probably best to just coalesce around an early idea, even if it's imperfect, just to keep things going. "Sanding the edges" of a plan on PbP could take weeks. :)

The Pathfinders set out to stack crates in front of the doors while Lara works on setting up the traps. The enraged dog is set loose in the small breakroom with the door quickly being closed behind it. After the tedious labor of the day, it isn't long before dusk colors the sky, and you are able to hear voices outside. Suddenly someone begins pounding and hollering at the large door to the lower section. "By the authority of the Kortos Consortium, open this door, this instant!!!"

Try to scare them off or...or...or we could pretend that we're part of the Aspis! Oh...but we don't have any nifty pins..." she frets.
______

Okay, for my own understanding. We've got the dog in the break room, the poison dart trap on the loading dock lever, the bear trap at the entrance/ladder leading to the lower section, both sets of large double-doors blocked by crates, and the door leading from the break room into the warehouse blocked by crates. The two secret entrances we left open and the skylights are open. Does that sound about right?

Taking a deep breath, she moves toward Kolris and calls out, "While we appreciate the situation you are in, we have no proof that you are who you say you are. Posting my turn slightly ahead of time since I work most of the day tomorrow, but it will take place after Enemy Blue acts of course.

Finding her legs cooperative for a change Corona moves toward the fighting, drawing her longspear as she goes. However, Seelena's singing proves most distracting and she's unable to bring any of her magic to bear.

"Owwww, it sounded cool the first time but I really don't think it's my type of music!"
______

Powerless Prophecy kicks in, leaving Corona staggered for this first round. She'll move to her current position, drawing her weapon as part of that action.

Sesska calls forth an eagle, that immediately begins tearing into one of the agents with its claws. Lara fires an arrow that imbeds itself into the shoulder of the other, and Kolris draws his weapon and hides amongst the crates. Another intruder makes his way past the stack of crates at the front door, and Corona gets swept up in the sounds of battle and can't manage anything but drawing her weapon.

Kalak now sees her partner's already engaged in combat, but she's too far to do anything. She grits her teeth when she sees Seleena and Lara's wounds. She makes her way among the stacks of crates as quickly as she can and positions herself behind one of the intruders, ready to help Seleena. "Who are these people?" she asks no one in particular.

Double move to get to the top-left side of the red guy without provoking attacks. Can someone move me please? I can't do it from my phone...

Kalak maneuvers around the crates so she can enter the fray of battle. The armoured intruder swings his sword at the pesky eagle but only catches air, while the other one tries to hit Lara with another burst of wind, but she's ready for it this time and dodges it easily.

The trick to moving your icon in a Google Slide using your phone is to first tap on your icon, which brings up the corners in blue, and then drag those corners one at a time to enlarge/shrink/enlarge your icon into a new position.

Be sure to zoom in enough that you don't accidentally enlarge something else.
