And if it's not, Ali is still up, because eff it. :-D

ROUND 2
The guards have not emerged from the next door yet, then? They're not on the map...and if that's the case...
Ali drops her bow, and casts Shield. Then she hustles over to the door they're expecting company from, drawing her sword en route--and imbuing it with magical power.

GM thunderspirit |

Nadya follows Ali, drops her bow when she sees the second door to the room with the swarm opened, and draws her hand axe.
As they do so, a shape rises out of the pool and five-foots toward Ali and Nadya!
It attacks, attempting to Cleave!

Since the first attack doesn't hit, the Cleave does not activate.

Davosh the Wanderer |

Oh the joys of PbP and keeping track! Ali's round 2 is posted right above.
Round 2
Davosh lets his swarm of spiders continue on their natural path as the crawl all over yellow and blue. DMG: 1d6 ⇒ 1 and they must each make two fort saves, both versus DC 11, one for distraction, the other for poison.
He will then give Red the Evil Eye, DC 18 Will or suffer -2 to attacks for 8 rounds (save = 1 round.)

![]() |

Round 2
Seeing Kappi get poked and prodded by the warriors Edward continues his life link with the young rogue. He also draws the wand and moves up to heal him.
Wand CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Results Kappi +14 hp Edward -5 for 21/31

Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein |

Know(Planes): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Ali hisses--lound enough for the gang to hear--Water elemental!
Keeping her eyes on the monster, she addresses Nadya. Don't make yourself a target--if you want to help me, just distract it for me! In game terms, Ali is asking Nadya for the Aid Another action--preferably the +2 AC one... She then proceeds to try to keep the elemental's attention.
C'mon Puddlejumper!! Is that the best you got?? I've had drinks of tea with a bigger punch than that!!

Vojtek Wartooth |

Round the Second
Vojtek calmly eyes the two guards and lowers his brow disapprovingly. He snaps his blade upwards, aiming the tip at the soft leather of the Red guard's armor.
Power Attack with Greatsword: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 1 = 10 for 2d6 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (6, 2) + 8 + 2 = 18 damage.

ALI'S 3RD ROUND
(technically I go after Kappi--but I can't see what either of us do, direclty affecting the other, so here goes)
Sheild: +4 AC
Arcane Pool: +1 weapon
Chill Touch: round 1 of 3
The elf expected the guards to appear; she did NOT expect the elemental, despite having been warned by Hatch. Hoping Nadya simply distracts the water monster to prevent Ali from getting swamped (haha--see what I did there???), the magus sets about getting ready to clear out the chaff.
She casts a spell, trying to do so safely...
Cast Defensively: 1d20 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 3 = 17 <--that be close...
...and barely manages to keep enough of a handle on her rage and excitement to complete the Chill Touch incantation. Her hand slaps her blade, causing rime and the occasional snowflake to fall from it, and she commences to swing like a reaper through grain...(first targetting Blue)
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 1 = 18
Damage: 1d10 + 3 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 + (3) = 13 <--Fort save DC 14 or take 1 point Str damage--assuming he survives
She calls out I can't stop the guy from getting to the crystal for more reinforcements...Hatch, can you do anything here?!?!

Davosh the Wanderer |

Davosh's Third Round
The witch focuses his concentration on pulling the swarm back towards him. The spiders come back over and engulf yellow and red for 1d6 ⇒ 3 damage and they must make their FORT saves. After which the swarm dissipates.

Kappi Matarito |

Feeling his spirits (and hit points) lifted by the paladin's powers, Kappi thrusts in lightning quick against his foe (green)

Edward Round 3
Edward hearing Ali's cry hopes that he can help stop the summons of help.Seeing and feelign that Kappi will survive without his close proximity Edward moves to line of sight drawing his bow in the process. Snaps up a quick shot that any elf would be proud of, and releases his arrow.
Bow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Edward then silently requests the power of Apsu to heal his fatigue.
Lay on Hands Self: 1d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 = 10
Automatic- Life link Kappi heals 2 hp Edward takes 2. Swift = LoH, Move Move and Draw, Standard Shoot bow. Results: Edward +8 hp, and hopefully one arrow stuck into a guard for meh damage . Current HP 29/31

Vojtek Wartooth |

Round the Third
Vojtek hacks wildly at the man before him, finesse and caution forgotten. He follows close behind the blade with a fearsome grab at the man's face with a jagged display of dentition!
Power Attack with Greatsword: Power Attack with Greatsword: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 - 1 = 9 for 2d6 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (4, 4) + 8 + 2 = 18 damage.
(Can't actually bite while not raging - imagery only!)
Vojtek is slowly becoming cross. His brow furrows, then his jaw clenches. In a wave, suddenly his eyes narrow, his nostril flare and his rage overtakes him. The frustrations of the misses, the unexpected reinforcements and the leering face of his foe overwhelm his clinical detachment and he boils. His rage crests as both attacks fail to find their mark.

GM thunderspirit |

Vojtek uncharacteristically misses!

Kappi Matarito |

Round 4
Kappi is living in the moment right now. Somewhere in the back of his head is the information that is telling him the situation is going from bad to worse. Yet, he compartmentalizes it and locks it away. All the other bad guys dont matter if he cant take care of the two in stabbing distance. He will worry about those things later.
The young rogue takes one hit and desperately dodges another. Determined to finish off the Green Guard he cuts low, just under the man's guard...

Edward Round the Fourth
Edward witnessing the heroic Ali taking on multiple opponents is causing him a quandry. First he doesn't want the guard to be able to summon reinforcements, but he feels it his duty to protect women.
He says a blessing to Apsu that Ali can hold out with some good smart tactics, and tries to stop the guard fumbling with an object.
Look at ya runnin scared while your mates are dying. Edward says trying to distract the guard while he charges him. Drawing his longsword.

RAGING VOJTEK!!!! |

Round the Fourth
Vojtek's rage erupts! He grits his teeth so hard they nearly splinter, and his sinewy muscles stand out against his weathered skin. Steam rises from his sweaty exertions as he lunges with abandon at the hated yellow guard!
Greatsword: 1d20 + 10 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 10 - 1 = 26 for 2d6 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (2, 6) + 11 + 2 = 21 damage.
AAARRRGGGHHHH Why don't I have cleave? :(

GM thunderspirit |

Cos barbarians are typically kinda feat-starved. :-P
FYI: cleave in PF requires you to declare you're planning to Cleave in advance — it's not automatic like it was in 3.5. However, it does trigger merely if you hit, rather than drop, your opponent.
Kappi attacks but can't land a blow on Green!
Ali admonishes Nadya while her chill touch-enhanced blade cannot find purchase against Brown!
Davosh hexes Black (DC 18 Will save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19), who shakes off the worst of it! The warlock then cackles!
Did Edward have enough movement to get to Purple?

Yes, considering last round I posted from my iPad and couldn't move things on the map, my movement then would have put me just in range.

I'll accept that. ;-)
Edward smites! As it happens, the guards are (all) LE!

Kappi Matarito |

Round 5
Kappi still finds himself in a bad situation. Standing toe to toe with a well armored guard is just stupid. Seeing his barbarian friend finally go into one of his powerful rages and cutting down a guard lifts his spirits. The young rogue feels Vojtek should have no problem finishing off the other two. And if he needs help Kappi can better give it from a short distance w/ a thrown blade.
Quickly the skinny rogue turns and squeezes behind the barbarian and out the door. Once through the door Kappi uses his acrobatics skills and moves around the black guard. The young rogue's method of "acrobatics" is not the smooth ninja looking backflips. It is a rough awkward looking series of jerky movements as if Kappi isn't even sure what his body is doing.
Kappi accepts all the AoO from the guards, he was in a bad spot and figured it was still his best option

Hey DM, Im not questioning the call. Im just asking for clarification so I understand the game mechanics better.
Is the Green Guard's attack from when Kappi turned and ran out of the room? An AoO?It is not a regular attack bc Kappi went first in the round and moved out of range into the next room, right?
He missed anyway, but I just want to make sure Im understanding things.
