Suddenly, out of the woods, four emaciated, hairless canines with a strange air of menace and cruelty about them appear from all directions and move to attack!

Akaash studies the creatures as yeth hounds. He knows yeth hounds are resistant to all, but silvered weapons, their bites can strike fear in those injured, and their baying can cause panic!

Two more encounters. This was sort of hard to do via PbP, since it has a sandbox aspect. The idea is, you level up before reaching the house, but if you were to head straight to the house, you would not have enough encounters to level up. It's one of the aspects of this module, I'm not enthused about.

Yeah, I understood what you were doing having read this part of it for my own game. I don't like it either; it assumes you're counting XP which I never do. I prefer 'organic' leveling when it is called for. Same reason I skipped over so much of book 3 in Jade Regent.

After healing, the party continues trudging in the direction of the house. After about a mile, you approach a rude, ill kept camp. Vagrant hunters occupy this small camp. They appear very similar to one another, with thick, webbed fingers, wide mouths, and horns that protrude from their foreheads. They stand near a simple fire surrounded by a ring of stones. A charred humanoid form roasts on a spit above the fire.

Kafir was about to suggest a more diplomatic approach to these strange-looking hunters until he recognizes the form roasting above their fire. F!~#ers. He draws his khopesh and yells, "Charge!" while kicking Shaytan into a gallop (or the closest you can get with a camel).
