Thank's for letting me use the power even if it did turn out useless this time, the timing with it is particularly tricky in pbps.
Glaurung of Anfauglith
|
Sorry, I've been on the road all day.
The Grappled condition says "can take no action that requires two hands to perform" but I think I can still full attack with my claws (since they are two separate attacks with one hand each). I have a feeling the intention is that you can't use two-handed weapons but correct me if I'm wrong.
claw attack (S and B): 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 - 2 = 5
damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
claw attack (S and B): 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 - 2 = 8
damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
| GM Tektite |
Chun moves to help Glaurung, brandishing his spear. He manages to stab the creature, puncturing the gelatinous mass.
Glaurung tries to fight back, but the creature holds her too tight for her to twist in it's grasp.
Tsusoku continues to move down the tunnel.
Hrolf finishes his summoning and three eagles appear and begin to attack the blob holding Glaurung. The first eagle is not able to find an opening. The second is more successful and strikes the creature three times. The last eagle is only able to manage a bite.
Han fires an arrow into melee, but the arrow misses it's mark.
Crossbow Attack on Hrolf: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
The purple creature fires it's crossbow at Hrolf, but it misses.
Slam Attack on Chun: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Damage: 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (2, 4) + 7 = 13
The second blob moves up and attacks Chun, but is distracted by all the flying morsels.
Constrict Damage: 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (4, 1) + 7 = 12
Maintain Grapple: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (5) + 18 = 23
The other blob begins to squeeze the breath out of Glaurung.

Glaurung is nauseated and staggered. She could use some help.

AC 16 from Barkskin right now.
Brick freezes, unable to "attack" with his sword. His hair, however, goes for an attack on the ooze engulfing the gnome!
(Attack-Cover), (Damage + use Vampiric Touch): 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 4 = 91d4 + 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + (1, 6) + 4 = 13 6 physical damage and 7 negative energy if I hit. Plus, if I hit, I give Glaurung a +2 to her next attempt to break. If I miss, I'll ask Han if wants in my square and move if he does.
Chun Hei
|
Chun Hei will cast Liberating Command as a swift action, giving Glaurng an immediate escape artist roll with an additional +6. Last round my swift got spent for the reroll on the crit so this had to wait till now.
Chun Hei will send Akasha, her scorpion, into the fray to help out. Tiny, reach 0, can share the space but provokes entering the square, but the ooze is in a grapple so it should be fine.
Akasha Sting: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Damage: 1 + Poison: Fort DC 10; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect sickened for 1 round; cure 1 save. It may be immune, I don't know.
Chun Hei will follow by adjusting her stance and taking an artful backhanded swing above the gnome in an attempt to carve her out of the ooze and uphold her word.
Judgement: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

If Glaurung has escaped, Chun Hei will follow up with a bite.

Glaurung falls to ground and tries to move away as far as possible (20 ft). Still at 0 HP, staggered, and nauseated I believe.
| GM Tektite |
Glaurung moves away Withdraw, I assume trying to get away for harm.
Tsusoku tries to attack the other blob with his hair, but is unsuccessful.
Hrolf directs his eagles to attack the other blob, while he stabs it with his spear. The eagles have varying success against the thing, but one beak and one claw are able to damage the creature.
Han fires his bow again, but again misses.

Once everyone is ready and healed up.
The party moves down the tunnel and climbs the stairs past scorched walls. Past the stone door, the coarse brick of the sewers gives way to cut stone block construction with corbeled arch ceilings that peak at a height of ten feet. Sturdy wooden doors line the walls, though years of mildewed neglect have eaten away at the facades.

In the hall ,you notice nothing but closed doors. Ascending the short flight of stair and opening the door you see a large room. The few furnishings in this large chamber are restricted to racks, iron maidens, and other implements of torture. Near the center of the room a massive table with manacles hanging from each corner bears testament to grisly interrogations, and nearby a pair of wooden tubs stand empty, their contents long since evaporated. Against the north wall stand several empty racks and hooks for holding weapons or tools; the implements that once hung there are now scattered in disarray across the floor. You all notice that the floor is strew with instruments that will make traversing the floor hazardous. The room appear empty.
implements make navigating the room very dangerous. Whenever a creature moves more than 10 feet in one round in the area, there is a 50% chance (75% chance if the creature cannot see) that the creature steps on one of
the sharp tools. Treat this like moving through an area scattered with caltrops, but any creature damaged by the knives also contracts filth fever (Fortitude DC 13 negates). Moving at half speed allows a creature to avoid the hazard entirely
