GM Tarondor's PFS #1 - Silent Tide
Donkey Teeth and Rekkr, I need your PFS Numbers.
Nessian's Improved Feint bluff check v. Rekkr (DC 13): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Nessian's attack v. Rekkr: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Rekkr stabs Nessian in the shoulder, then dodges past him as the rest of the party ascends the stairs behind him. The crimelord tries to feint to Rekkr's side, but the barbarian is too wily to fall for the maneuver and neatly blocks the follow-up blow of Nessian's flail.

Garret's eagle continues to bite and claw at Nessian, while Garret throws another small blob of acid.
Garret:
Standard action: Cast acid splash at Nessian
Attack (Acid Splash, vs. Ranged Touch): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Attack (Acid Splash, Acid Flask Focus): 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Eagle 4:
Full round action: Attack Nessian
Attack (Bite): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage (Bite): 1d4 ⇒ 3
Attack (Talon 1): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage (Talon 1): 1d4 ⇒ 3
Attack (Talon 2): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage (Talon 2): 1d4 ⇒ 2
Between the acid and the eagle, Nessian falls to the ground, bleeding out. His last words before passing from Golarion are "Insolent curs..."
CONGRATULATIONS!
Conclusion
Though few will be aware of your bravery, by stopping the Silent Tide, you have saved Absalom from a potentially devastating attack. Better still, you have have brought Nessian and his War Hounders to justice.
You have the thanks of Yargos and his friends, and they ensure that the Pathfinders' reputation within the Puddle District is deservedly enhanced. Yargos will prove to be a friend and ally that you can rely upon in the future. Finally, Grandmaster Torch may prove to be a valuable future business contact.

Mikhaere decides to abstain from any mention of Grandmaster Torch in his post-mission write-up to the society, except that he heard in passing that the information broker was somehow involved in getting Nessian the logbook and shouldn't be trusted. Also that he smells really bad.
Thanks for the game all!

Thanks Tarandor, it was fun.
I hope so! Where else do you get to fight evil on the keyboard of a giant piano? It's like Tom Hanks in "Big"! Or something.
See you 'round!

Seated at this table should be:
- Donkey Teeth - Wayang Witch 1
- Mikhaere - Tengu druid 2
- Rekkr the Trollslayer - Human Barbarian 1
- Garret Shadowcaller - Halfling Summoner 1
Please chime in to let me know you're here.

Here is how things are going to work. I'm not going to use any of the map options I've seen here, mostly because I'm old and cranky and don't want to learn anything new. Instead, you are going to describe your move in detail and I'm going to update the maps by hand and post them on my site with a link in the Gameplay forum.
EXAMPLE: Fred the Fighter charges to the attack! (Move N-N-E-N; attack!)
(Where N=North, E=East, S=South and W=West). North will always be at the top of the map, regardless of any compasses printed on the map.
Dice will be rolled here as normal

Players are expected to post at least once per day, seven days a week.

The GM is often wrong, but will do his best to be right. If I screw up in your favor, we'll let it go. If I screw up in a way that hurts you, speak up before your next turn and I'll try to get it straightened out.

I've had 36 years of GMing experience, but I still don't know every obscure ability you may have. If you're using an ability that is not common, please explain it and link it to the SRD or PRD so I can quickly determine what you're trying to do.

Rule #1 - Have fun!
Another quick note - I played this game when it first came out at Gencon five years ago. My character died. Use your heads!

That's encouraging...
Well, here's Garret, checking in. One question, re: PFS. Can I change factions before level 2 and still keep the faction PP, just transferred to the new faction, or am I stuck?

Yes, the first level rebuild rules state that you can change factions, before playing as a level two and keep all of your prestige. That's the good news.
The bad news is that these Archetypes: broodmaster summoner, clone master alchemist, gravewalker witch, pack lord druid, master summoner, reincarnated druid, synthesist summoner, undead lord cleric, vivisectionist alchemist archetypes are not legal for society play.
Additional resources
Let's have a good time playing.
According to the Pathfinder Guide to Organized Play, Page 10: "Before you level up a character for the first time, you may change any aspect of it except its Pathfinder Society Number."
Thereafter, it costs 3PP per level. So doing it now would be a good idea.
If you do change before leveling up to 2nd level, you do not keep any faction traits, but do keep all earned PP and Fame.
Thank you for pointing that out, DT. Garett, please rework your character without that archetype ASAP, and certainly before play begins.

Ah, cripes - I completely missed that. It won't take long to rework - luckily, the two are basically identical at first level.

Done with the changes, please feel free to review.
Waiting for Rekkr and Mikhaere.

I'm here! Hello to you all!
As a heads up, Mik has a cure light wands wound and will happily use it on anyone who doesn't irritate him. Everyone else will get poked in the ribs while they get healed.
He's more of a spellcastery druid than a melee druid, but he can do that in a pinch as well if necessary. I suspect that we might have a number of extra critters running around the battlefield thanks to me and Garret anyway :)
I'm here as well. At least I think I am...
M Wayang HP 8/8 | AC 13 "17* mage armor"- | Touch 13| FF 11 | CMD 11 | F+2 | R+2 | W+2 | Init +8 | Perception +2 | 20ft Witch 1
I also have a wand of CLW, and will use it as needed. Just don't let me die :) We have two arcanist, one druid and one combatant. This could be interesting and fun.
Evidently, I'm not being clear, 'cause ain't nobody getting it in any of the four tables. When in the granary, if you want to move half your speed, just do it. If you want to move more than half speed, you must a roll a number of Strength checks equal to the total number of squares moved. e.g., if you have 30 ft movement, you can move 3 squares with no problem. If you want to move 4 squares, you must roll 4 Strength checks.
So, to be clear, there ARE lanes free of grain and your friendly neighborhood GM is getting his head examined.
I want to point out the First Official PbP Gameday.
I've signed up to run some games. There will be prizes! Hope to see you there.

Hey, Tarondor, you reckon we'll be done this scenario before the Game Day? Was thinking of signing Mikhaere up to something...
Good question. There are two scenes left, one of which is optional, but I do want to run that if possible.
We began play 18 days ago and finished three scenes. At that rate, we need another 12 days to finish, which would bring us to September 28, so yes, I think we'll be done in plenty of time for Gameday.
I also want to point out THIS OPPORTUNITY to play "Dragon's Demand."
Exhausting few days in real life. Hope to post tomorrow evening.
Donkey Teeth and Rekkr, I need your PFS Numbers.

I am aware that the link I just PM'ed to each of you doesn't work. Just as well...it was the wrong chronicle.
Sigh.
