Perfire advances, dropping his sling and drawing his longspear to help defend his senseless friend.

'You can still surrender!' He calls into the room.

Perfire sees a masked figure standing amid many animal cages. A large snake darts forward, sinking its fangs into Wymond's thigh. It takes a moment for Perfire to realize that the snake is made of metal.

Lilika shoots a sling stone at the fake snake.

That was her last magic stone.

"Buh?!" Wymond exclaims.

While he still can't see worth squat, and clearly still out of it, he seem SO out of it that the venom doesn't even register in his mind, let alone his body!

Anyone, give me orders for Colcille.

Colcille steps up silently drawing one of her blades and stabs down at the offending snake.

Colcille's sharp blade rings off the cobra's iron skin, doing no harm.

Perfire lines up his toss while fishing out a small ceramic pot. He heaves it through the crowd towards the bandit.

Perfire's pot strikes the outlaw in the chest and bursts into flames!

The snake lashes out at Colcille, but the elf dances away just in time and is unharmed.

Switching to her regular stone, Lilika reloads and fires her sling at the metal snake.

She purses her lips in anger, deciding she needs to get closer, but wary of leaving a door unguarded.

Realizing her swords don't seem to harm the snake, Colcille dives over it, coming up in a roll in front of the bandit woman. She flicks her wrist, slashing her leaf blade at the woman's neck.

As his companions battle on, Wymond struggles to clear his head.

The outlaw zookeeper looks up with astonishment as Colcille dives past the snake and wounds her. With a snarl, she fights back. "You can't be faster than the snake! Nobody's faster than the snake!"

Stepping back, she hurls a flask at Colcille, but the elf bats it away and it crashes against a cage full of mice, where the acid within eats away at steel, flesh and fur.

The alchemist's fire burns on the lady outlaw, and she yells in pain while batting out the flames.

The snake dodges out of the way of Wymond's poleaxe and lashes out at Colcille who dodges the attack in turn.

The outlaw lashes out at Colcille with her shortsword, nearly as fast as the snake. She strikes the elf in the thight, and the wound burns with a strange pain.

Perfire continues to offer Wymond his potion if he chooses to accept it. The halfling drops his spear and steps up, drawing his trusty club swinging a blow at the snake.

Wymond accepts the potion from Perfire and will drink it when it's actually his turn.

Actually, Wymond, that's now. The initiative order has changed.

Seizing the initiative, Wymond gulps the potion down in one swig.

Almost immediately he feels reinvigorated.

"Much better!"

Sorry. Swallowing a potion is a standard action.

Oh, well. *shrug* Fighting defensively is a full action, right?

The snake lashes out again, clamping its metal jaws down on Wymond's ankle and injecting poison into the wound!

Lilika: Put sling away (Move), cast Acid Dart (Standard) on Iron Cobra

Hooking her sling to her belt, Lilika glances over her shoulder at the unguarded path behind her.

She places a hand to her short-sword's hilt before recalling that Colcille's blade seemed ineffective and whips the same hand up and at the "snake".

A dart of acid flies from her outstretched hand, hurling toward the "snake".

Acid Dart (touch): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Acid Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Not sure if it's ok that I used one of her x/day abilities, but the short-sword seemed a poor choice.

Lilika's Caster Level check to overcome the Iron Cobra's SR: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 Success!

The acid strikes the snake and burns through its outer armor. Some of its elaborate workings smoke and clank just a bit.

The outlaw's slashing advance is hurried, and Colcille brushes it aside.

Seeing Lilika's success with acid Perfire remembers the acid in his backpack. He steps back, retrieving a flask. The halfling takes aim and hurls the container at the snake.

5-Foot back out of bitey range, move to retrieve, standard to hurl!

Perfire doesn't have Precise Shot and so takes a -4 penalty for firing into melee. However, that is still good enough to hit the snake.

Lilika's acid continues to eat away at vital parts of the iron cobra so that it clanks and ratchets its way towards its prey. Colcille scratches the outlaw along her arm, little more than a pinprick. But she easily blocks the outlaw's riposte.

The snake dodges Perfire's acid flask, but swerves right into Wymond's sudden blow. The paladin's bardiche crashes down, crude but deadly, cracking the construct's iron carapace and ending its dangerous existence!
