Raven Six's holy water splashes and mildly sizzles the last zombie, but not to too much avail. Screaming in rage, the cleric tries to raise up a hand to her holy symbol to cast a spell, but the spell fizzles and is lost.

"YOU WILL ROT BEFORE ME!" she shrieks at Thod, but things aren't going too well for her.

The remaining zombie moves forward with alarming speed, clearly not the type of zombie the group is used to. It lunges out at Sevenspawn with a sword, but he ably blocks the attack on his shield.

Raven Six and Sevenspawn team up, and the last zombie falls. Somewhat desperately, she begins hacking away the goo around her feet with her scythe. The scythe crackles with black energy and appears to be wounding her as she attacks.

Seeing the priestess trying to escape, a quiet growl escapes Donnell's throat You aren't going anywhere, lady

Taking one hand off his crossbow, Donnell grabs another bag from his belt:

If on fire, 25 Reflex to extinguish for 2 rounds. Using water creates a burst of burning material equivalent to alchemist’s fire making a direct hit on the target (including splash damage). After the initial 2 rounds, the flames may be extinguished as normal.

Entangle: An entangled creature takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity.

Trusting her armour to protect her, she breaks past the companions, walking up upwards in the air to get out of range of melee.

The bomb explodes perfectly, and just as Andaisin climbs into the air to begin an assault of unholy power, Donnell's crossbow bolt thuds home. She blinks at him stupidly, and then tumbles out of the air, crashing onto her face, her clothes just a little on fire.

The mutated Alchemist makes her way over to the downed Cleric and takes away her scythe, spell component pouch and unholy symbol, just to be on the safe side.

Donnell, you are the man! Not to pass out spoilers, but I've played through this encounter with another group and it did not end this smoothly or as well. Good job!

Sevenspawn considers this carefully, moving over to Andaisin and sitting on his haunches above her. He clears his throat and raises his head to the halfling.

"I've little right to condemn murder," he says truthfully, owning his own actions, "but I say let her and Devalus stand trial before the city they helped destroy. The people deserve to have their retribution." He rises to his feet. "I say we turn her over to the Field Marshal."

Donnell shrugs noncommittally as he peers about the room: "I thought you might say that. Would one of you mind tying her up and ... maybe sticking a sock in her mouth?"

I have moved you all adjacent to her body. Only one round has passed.

As you discuss her fate, something happens. Andaisin's body begins to crackle with some sort of strange power. Her eyes snap open as the poison is overwhelmed by what is happening.

"I ASCEND, OH SWEET GODDESS I HAVE NOT FAILED YOU YET!!" she shrieks before her back arches and black ... something fires out of her eyes, mouth and hands. Her sundered flesh explodes with boils and pustules, while torrents of Urgathoa's foul humors flood forth and congeal into a sickening new body for the priestess. Her falls to the ground, killed and a creature hovers in the air before you. What was once a woman is now a hovering ectoplasmic creature with an enormous, scythe-like claw.

This is a Daughter of Urgathoa. Within the church of the goddess of disease and undeath, few more coveted stations exist than that of the “Daughters of the Urgathoa” yet no high priest can bestow the title, and no living worshiper can take the role. Rather, daughters are selected by the god or goddess of death, chosen from the most zealous and accomplished priestesses at the moments they fall. Even after their transformations into things of pestilence and dead flesh, daughters remain social beings who typically surround themselves with fanatical cults.

Daughters of Urgathoa are undead and carry an aura of desecration which empowers other undead around them. They can fly but have no particularly immunities or vulnerabilities. They do not retain the powers they had in life, but instead their own array of spells. Their scything claw is deadly and spreads a plague.

The priest throws out his left hand, sending a wave of The Everbloom's might into Thod Six-Picks.

Sevenspawn casts Bull's Strength on Thod. The subject becomes stronger. The spell grants a +4 enhancement bonus to Strength, adding the usual benefits to melee attack rolls, melee damage rolls, and other uses of the Strength modifier.

Thod goes before Sevenspawn in initiative order so his attack is before the buff.

GM Rolls:

Thod swings out mightily and manages to connect with a solid blow while his second attack is fouled the pestilential ooze-creature. Sevenspawn enchants Thod to give the dwarf the Everbloom's strength.

She starts to roar out a spell to the Pallid Princess, but Thod thumps her with the butt of his halberd, ruining the spell!

My Damage Reduction applies at all times, not just when I'm raging. Though it's only 1 point. On the other hand, if I was raging, that would have dropped my AC. That WAS a close one. Still would have been standing, though.

Thod flinches at the strike, but continues. He also seems a bit distracted by Raven Six getting into the trash talking, not something he had expected of her.

Sevenspawn brings forth his holy symbol - a carved, bleeding rose of wood around his neck that now flares out the energy of The Everbloom in a circle of vibrant red. As magical energy spills like blood from the petals and strikes the ground, a circular wave of crimson light shoots outwards in all directions, seeking to burn what was once Andaisin.

Not great. Anyway, the DC is 14 and she gets that -2 from Doom.

Swiping out twice at Thod, he blocks one attack before the tough dwarf is wounded by another scything claw.

Sevenspawn glances at Thod, assessing his health, and makes a judgment call. His right hand intertwining around his symbol, he lays his shield hand on the dwarf briefly as his voice asks his deity to lend assistance to the righteous cause at hand.

Aid grants the target a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and saves against fear effects, plus temporary hit points equal to 1d8 + caster level (to a maximum of 1d8+10 temporary hit points at caster level 10th). SS is CL7.

Aid Temporary Hit Points: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

A little bit of holy water was all the group needed, it turns out. Calling out to the strange unholy spirit that hovers before them, Raven Six hurls a small vial which splashes on her face. She shrieks in hideous pain while Donnell and Thod continue to rain bolts and blows upon her. Finally Thod slashes out with his halberd and whatever force kept her together finally comes apart, and she splashes down to the ground below. The reek in the room is unbearable as this ectoplasmic creature of disease and death is finally, finally destroyed.

"Better living through alchemy," Raven Six-a says, as she spits on the remains of Andaisin, "you snotty cow."

The mutated Alchemist's cocky grin freezes on her face as her body starts to shudder and darkness seems to ooze out of her pupils, obscuring the blue in her irises. Raven Six's hair straightens and blackens as her body returns to its normal, more slender form.

For a moment, the Alchemist staggers in place as her pupils contract ... expand ... contract ... expand...
Finally, as Raven Six regains full control -- she spits on the disgusting ooze again. A jarring sight, given her cool, detached expression. "Take that one with you on your way to your rotting mistress as well, along with my contempt, plague-bringer."

Let's check things out quickly, release any "patients," and report this mess to the Field Marshall."

Adding, under his breath, "I'm sure she'll be thrilled..."

Donnell will gather any unbroken crossbow bolts as he inspects the room:
