I'm definitely interested, but before I build a character to submit, I'd like to make sure of something...

I'd love to build a Savage Technologist, but I think it would only work as a vanilla barbarian, not as an Unchained one. Are you firm on only accepting Unchained Barbarians?

Just checked all the abilities line up, uc barbarian is fully compatible with savage technologist

Sort of. Savage Technologist is a sword-and-pistol archetype that reminds me of Travis Morgan, the Warlord of Skartaris. The archetype's rage boosts dex, making it useful with firearms. The unchained barbarian's rage boosts only melee attacks and thrown weapons.

If it's a sticking point for the GM, I'll gladly submit a different class. Just thought it was worth asking.

Hadn't read it. My ruling would be in your favor. But then I'd allow Savage Technologist to be applied to blood eager.

Hi, quite apart from the unchained issue, my other concern is that it's a Technology Guide archetype, and (like most of those) one that assumes access to technology fairly early in its development. I'd be worried about ensuring I catered to the requirements of the build, managed against just running the story. So - while I'm loath to make strict rulings - it probably would make you less likely to be selected.

Re-summarising:

- rdknight - intending Aasimar Warpriest
- Ourannis - dotted
- Hourai/Tio - submitted Android Oracle
- Coudanous - dotted
- Nohwear - dotted, intending Psychic
- joerice/Anjrue Kazan - submitted Human/Kelid Skald
- Onna - submitted Android Shaman
- Aada Bladotter - submitted Elven Cleric
- Korak/Indescribable/Harman - submitted Human Wizard
- Lekkric18/Thelx - submitted Android Bard
- Mystiel - submitted "scion of humanity aasimar who fully thinks he is a human" techslinger
- maxmagana - dotted
- Kerstas - submitted halfling gunslinger
- Silvertounge - dotted
- Serrah Telos - submitted human wizard
- Emmit Svenson - intending barbarian/savage technologist

I'm still planning on holding open submissions till Feb 8, given I'm currently travelling.

Savage Technologist is a perfectly effective archetype with absolutely no technology involved. In fact, my Pathfinder Society barbarian is a Savage Technologist, simply because the dexterity bonus (and no AC penalty) during rage is excellent for grappling.

Guns are just a nice side benefit for them later on.

Not a problem. Instead, please consider this character, a Cleric of Brigh whose service to her goddess helps contain her destructive heritage.

Sovereign Court

I would be interested but I think you have plenty candidates to compete with.

Thanks - I gave it some thought and given Onna's feedback. I'd be OK to consider the non-unchained (chained?) version without worrying about the considerations I mentioned. You can submit both that and this if you wish. As I said at the start though, I can't actually guarantee selection.

Dark Archive

I just want to RP the android race and characteristics. I'm flexible and would play any class needed by the group you choose. Initially I'll throw together this Magus (Esoteric Archtype), but gunslinger (for the tech of the AP) or brawler were my 1st thoughts.

Rough outline would be an android salvaged by a gnome tinkerer. The gnome planned on repurposing the android as a "bodyguard". The brawn to back up the gnomes brains. After the gnome used "magic" to try and awaken the android, the android was infused and now when magic surges through it, the circuitry glows.

Unarmed strikes possibly augmented with elements (lightning/electricity and/or fire) seem logical for a mechanical being. Depending on how in depth the tech gets, maybe some cybertech implants (from the technology guide would fit thematically.

I respectfully submit my interest in joining this adventure.

Sure! Creating characters is fun. Please consider this character, a jovial giant setting out late in life on the path of glory.

Understood. I do hope one of these characters fits your game's needs, but no hard feelings if you go another way. If you'd like some evidence of my commitment to PbP, feel free to glance at some posts from my last long-running campaign.

OK, this is the last call for recruits, it's (finally) closing tomorrow (and I'm on an overnight plane home) but any entries submitted before 5pm GMT tomorrow will receive fair consideration.

I do have some submissions in mind and will check them with the existing party in the interim, to speed things up. I won't contact any of the winners till after close of submissions tomorrow (and it may be on Tuesday).

There'll then be a break while we check that the winners still want to play (they may have joined other campaigns in the interim, for example) and acceptance may also depend on tweaks/corrections to the characters, which I'll check. As I said at the start, if you don't hear immediately don't worry until there's a firm statement on here; my experience is that some candidates do indeed drop out at this stage.

Best of luck!

Throwing my hat into the ring for consideration. Hopefully I made it in under the deadline. :)

It's ultimately up to the GM but 5 GMT was two hours ago. Interesting spelling of d'Artagnan. Were you going for a 3 musketeers reference or is it coincidence.

I'm afraid you missed it, per Indescribable's comment.

OK - I'm now back but don't expect anything on here for a couple of days, while I sort out the submissions. If you aren't selected, I am planning starting yet another AP in March (have not decided which, yet) and will post a pointer on here so you will notice it if you have it dotted.

Perhaps you could make an exception? He didn't make the cutoff time but he may not know what GMT is. And he posted before you.

Hi. I take your point and the spirit in which it's made, but I'm going to be firm on this, thanks.

Alright. I'm kind of a softy.

Withdrawing as I have just been chosen for another Iron Gods game.

Good luck guys. =)

Have fun!

No worries about my missing the deadline. I tried. :)

Hope that you all have fun.

Good luck finding a game.

Hi everyone, the selections are as follows:

- Tiѳ
- Thüm Göertatroth
- Onna

This was from an incredibly strong choice of submissions. I'm really sorry we didn't have more room. I will be kicking off another recruitment next month (not sure on AP, thinking maybe Jade Regent or Second Darkness) and I hope some of you think about submitting for that.

Could the selected candidates please report to the discussion thread.

Everyone else, many thanks for putting such work into the submissions, and again my apologies for not being able to choose more of you.

Well, looks like try three with this version of her is a no. Maybe try 4 will do the trick.

Dark Archive

Congrats to the "chosen ones". Thank you for the consideration GM Shady. Please feel free to PM me, should you find yourself in need of a replacement.
