Remember this is probably the animal that the hunter was hunting when he was killed. I know that was a bit of time in the real world ago but it would be fresh with your characters.
The party continues its treck which you would now know is leading to the very center of this unnatural weather. Now that you know what to look for you know the weasel is tracking you though keeping its distance. Maybe it is just curious or maybe it is hope you are injured enough for it to get a nice meal. Who knows.
More walk in the snow and the sun continues across the sky. The snow is deeper, eighteen inches, though it does not encumber you any more then it had all ready been. Still its a nuisance.
With time you come to what would be a valley that the locals call Somir Valley. It is more clear then ever that you are getting closer to the source of the storm.
It is early afternoon. Anything you want to do while walking? Have you eating anything today?

Freyr Elvanna |

"That would depend on how intelligent it is and if there is anyone else guiding it," Freyr responds. "Also, how desperate it is. Most animals usually aren't particularly violent unless provoked or desperate. Granted, it could be desperate, stuck in a new place halfway across the world."
I suggest we have rations while we're traveling.

Frjya Elvanna |

"I've no idea how animals act." Frjya said with a small shrug. "I didn't get that kind of education. Freyr did though, didn't you brother? While training under our eldest brother?" She asked as she shifted a bit, obviously she didn't speak more of their kin. "Could we lead it back?" She asked "Return it home?"
I am also for eating rations.

Freyr Elvanna |

Freyr just shrugs. "I learned how to hunt and track, mostly to run down invaders and spies. I never really learned how to handle beasts. I was expected to have a higher position than a common falconer or huntsman."

GM Red Box |

Munching rations as they go the party continues on though the snow. Signs of the weasel become less obvious and at one point it is clear it is no longer keeping pace. This would seem a welcome turn of events as the path opens a bit in an area with several downed trees.
GM: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Above you you hear the flapping of wings, maybe a small bird, before a stone falls out of the sky connecting with Fryer's shoulder with a deafening clap of thunder.
DC15 Fort - Fail you are defeaned for 1 hour
Looking up a small winged figure can be seen about 30 feet above the ground.
At the same time the snow swirls as a small air elemental flies though the trees. It is lower, only about ten feet above the ground.
The small flying creature, which at this point you recovnise as a winter-touched atomie, shrieks at the party. "Too far! Too close. Die cold and alone you will!"

She readies her rapier in her right hand and moves to block the elemental.
Then she launches a blob of acid at the Atomie.

Kleora |

Kleora was quite relieved when the weasel quit following them. She was worried that it would attack, and it still may, but for now it seemed to have backed off. It was just as they entered the clearing and she began to relax that Kleora realized it was all too easy. The sudden sound exploded. it was fortunate she was far enough away as the sound merely hurt her ears a little but did nothing more to her.
Looking at the fey who attacked them Kleora called out, "You shouldn't have attacked us. You aren't the first we've come across and they weren't able to take us either. Should you choose to surrender you need only say and your life will be spared at a price." With that she began to advance, drawing forth her crossbow.

GM Red Box |

The atomie easily dodges the acid splash and arrow fired by Freyr. He starts laughing at Kleora's comment.
"Big words long legs, you kill me or I kill you. You kill me you live a little longer.. not much. No though Hommelstaub kills you here."
Still in the air Hommelstaub flies closer while maintiaing his height sling spins and a rock flies towards Kleora's head.

"Eventually, we're going to run into fey that know who we are and want us back," Freyr projects to his sister as he notches another arrow. "But if you wish to try, I won't stop you." He had long since learned that arguing with Frjya rarely ended in his favor.

Kleora took the stone to her head, the pain so hard that it left her staggered with pain, and tried to focus enough to push through. She shook her head and managed to subdue the pain then turned her gaze on the fey angrily. Realizing the elemental was behind them Kleora turned her focus to it and lashed out with her mind to force pain and agony into what amounted to it's head then moved closer to Freyr.

Kleora didn't like that the elemental was circling around and in a perfect position to attack them from behind. Even worse was that it was likely working with the fey. Deciding the threat of the elemental was too much to ignore now Kleora focused and cast one of her few remaining spells. Her mind lashed out and slammed information into the elemental's mind far too rapidly for the creature to easily take.

'This is becoming madness' Frjya thought before she pulled glove off of her right hand, upon her ring finger rested a signate ring but not one of this area. Holding her now ungloved hand out to Hommestaub, Frjya ensured the ring caught the light and his attention.
"As Frjya Elvanna, youngest princess of Irrisen and daughter of her royal majesty Queen Elvanna, fourteenth queen of Irrisen and daughter of Baba Yaga I request that you halt in harming my friends!" Frjya stated as she did her best to hold herself tall and regal as she made such a request. "I do not wish to see what would happen if news of this attack reach any of my sisters or mother's ears. Please do not risk bringing a fate worse than death upon yourself!" She pleaded.

I'm delaying my turn

GM Red Box |

As Tayanalla's acid sails harmless to all but the mound of snow it lands in Hommestaub pauses and flutters back a few feet.
He calks is bald head to the side shaking his white air as he does so. You can almost see the wheels in his head turning as he tilts his head.
"Maybe..." clearly he is at mental war with himself as the pause drags on for a moment or two. "If I kill you and you are true, bad. If I let you go and its not true, bad." he pauses again flying a little further away "Probably bad no matter. Curse you and be gone, this is above my stating, the boss will decide."
The fay starts to fly off with the element trailing behind him. Clearly he is heading the way you came form getting some distance. They are not flying fast so can still be called too or attacked or whatever you like.
350xp each. Nothing else to be found in that area.
That probably won't work all that often but that was a good diplomacy roll.

Frjya Elvanna |

Sorry, got surprised mando house sitting for the in-laws! Back now! Also I know it probably won't work all that often, and really she didn't want to bring it up but they were against the wall...
Frjya blinked at Tayanalla for a moment. "Yes well... my family name carries a lot of weight... I don't like using it as such but it was all I could think of to save your lives. I'm honestly surprised you're taking this so well Tayanalla."

Freyr Elvanna |

"That went far better than expected," Freyr admits as he carefully releases the tension of his bow and slides his arrow back into its quiver. "But now we're going to have to deal with whoever is in charge here. I just hope it's she's not here in person..."

Kleora |

Kleora was honestly a little surprised at just how well that worked to end the fight, relieved and a little annoyed, but at least it was done with. Unfortunately it also meant that she had wasted most of her magic for no real gain. "I'm torn between being more annoyed that you could talk them down where I couldn't or that you didn't do that sooner so I didn’t waste so much psychic power for nothing." She shivered a bit and then said, "At least it's over with and we should find a place to rest soon I think, that fight was a lot rougher than it needed to be."

GM Red Box |

I have not been enforcing cold weather fort checks on you guys because I feel they are too harsh at low level. It sounds like you wish to camp out here what preparation are you going to make?

Frjya Elvanna |

"That's a little prideful thinking that only you can talk down a fey." Frjya pointed out, though her voice didn't carry a tone of insult more like she was just pointing out something. "I was also unsure if it would work, we are not in the lands of my home after all. I could easily see a fey not believing I am who I say I am... there is also the fact I didn't wish to make it well known that I am here. My brother and I are likely being searched for, we... some what ran away from the person who was suppose to be watching over us. If it gets out they will be seriously punished so it would be in their best interest to get us back before anyone finds out." She tried to explain.
Though she did look to her twin and shook her head. "She left for the capitol remember?"

Freyr Elvanna |

"Which is exactly why I'm hoping she doesn't care enough about us to come back," Freyr replies as he slings his bow across is back again. "We don't need that kind of trouble right now." He glances back at the others. He wonders if they truly don't care or if they had already figured them out. Or perhaps they just didn't really get what having a prince and princess of Irrisen with them meant. Regardless, this wasn't the time to make a fuss about it. "Better to get patched up and regroup, then deal with this before someone else comes looking for us."

Frjya Elvanna |

"Of course Tayanalla Frjya said as she touched the wand to Tayanalla's are.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
"I'm more worried about her second." She muttered to her brother before sighing. "I will state that while I was able to take care of this, I don't know that it will work every time. If we were back home then I'd be a bit more reassured it would work but... I'm not sure how often it will work here." Frjya explained.

Tayanalla |

"Thank you for the healing." Taya says to Frjya.
To everyone:"I say we continue to move forward cautiously. We should at least scout out the danger ahead. If it looks like something we aren't prepared for, then we can retreat and regroup."

GM Red Box |

So moving forward? Someone scout ahead or just moving slow. Not resting?
