Having arrived on the scene Losjien quickly stunns the creature that just took a swing at Kagyu. Kagyu and Miyagi-san make quick work fo he creature form that point.
To the south the combined might of Tahata and Maitoh bring down the final combatant.
As the room is suddenly quiet the crew feels they have learned something form their fights and are stronger for it.

To the north and east of you are doors.
The room itself contains nothing, beyond the filthy wooden tables and a strong stench.
GM Red Box
Regardless of perception rolls nothing can be heard beyond either door. It is a sage guess that that is why nothing came to the aid of the troglodytes.
Losjien Hallow

As tension builds towards the next room Losjien speaks quietly to the group. "Good make of them. This may convince you yet it was worth while."
Losjien stuffs the drawing in his cloack and braces for the next room.
Miyagi-san
After felling the last of the foes, the monk took a moment to center himself. He once more felt his ki surge within him. The effect was not as dizzying as the last time. Still, the feeling was hard to ignore and required some peace of mind to get used to. Once he found his center, he followed Durian to the east and helped check out the next rooms.
Kagyu Mamoru
After confirming Durian hears nothing and checking himself, Kagyu enters through the eastern door, shield first.
Tahata Moonrunner
Tahata and Maitoh move up with the rest of the group. "Do we know what it is we are searching for down here?" he asks, unsure how the group will identify whatever it is that will help Ameiko.
Gortrek the Honorable

"Do we know what it is we are searching for down here?"
"A solution," was Gortrek's immediate response. Without even taking time to wipe down his blade, he followed directly behind Kagyu, keeping an eye out for anything.
GM Red Box
The eastern door leads to another hallway with two branches. First to the west, after opening a door, you find.
V2. Armory
This room appears to be an armory, yet the majority of the armor stands, weapons racks, and shelves stand empty. Most of the weapons stored here have long since disappeared or been destroyed but a few items remain. There is a non-magical suite of half-plate, a heavy crossbow and a leather case containing 6 flasks of alchemist fire.
Moving back to the east the part finds another door from which you can hear what sounds like fighting, from the smell you would guess more troglodytes. Opening the door you see:
V3. Arena pg 55
The fifteen-foot-high ceiling of this hexagonal room is supported by four stone pillars. The middle of the room sags in a bowl-like depression, leaving a five-foot-wide ring of level ground around the room’s perimeter. Remnants of a low wooden railing mark the edge of the depression, but most of the fence has collapsed. A large chair sits in the center of the room next to a table heaped with doubtful-looking cuts of rancid meat.
Inside the room three troglodytes are sparing while a Forth bigger, more advanced, specimen holding a morningstar growls and taunts them to do better. The moment the door opens the bigger of the four points its weapon and roars.

Can I get away with a bit of retcon?
As the group passes through the armory, Kagyu eyes the half plate. ... well, half plate is better than no plate.
Turning towards the hurried half-orc, Kagyu asks "I don't want to pass up this opportunity to better protect myself, and the rest of you in turn. Give me 10 minutes to don this half plate?" And with that Kagyu begins doffing his breast plate and pulling down pieces of the half plate.
"And someone should grab those flasks. Who knows what's in em!"
Durian The Wanderer
While Kagyu is donning the armor, Durian picks up the crossbow and inspects it. He glances around to see if anyone else seems to be making a move for the weapon. If not he slings it over a shoulder and looks around for a minute or two for any ammunition for the crossbow.
Once Kagyu is set to go Durian moves to the front of the line and into the room with the sparring troglodytes.

The superior numbers of the party quickly overwhelm the final troglodyte who dies hissing and bleeding. The room grows quiet and the group has a moment to search the area.

V4. Kitchen
Stone pillars support the ceiling over this large kitchen— although the fire pits, tables, and pantries here look like they haven’t been used in decades. Thick layers of dust cover everything in the room. You can imagine that this was once a well used room but the castles current residents have little use for a kitchen. Like many other places this room has been stripped clean or deteriorated.
Some fairly routine scouting tells you that two of the rooms that can be accesed from the main room are also empty. map labeled
V6. Escape Cavern
A tangle of stalactites and stalagmites fills this low-ceilinged cavern, with only a five-foot-wide path running along the southern wall being clear of obstruction. On the west side is a hidden door that leads to a winded and twisted passage. After not to long the passage does down and is full of water.

After making sure everyone is at full strength he wanders over to the fallen leader and picks up the Morningstar, swinging it to test its balance. He nods to himself and follows after the party asking Losjien with a slight smile, "Did you detect any magic in this thing when it cracked you over the head?"

Losjien's vision was still blurred from the hit. The bones on his hands were still showing as skin slowly reformed aorund them after his disasterdly spell attempt.
His vision comes back to one and skin forms quicker as the energy washes over him.
"Yes Kagyu...that would be a Cold Iron Morningstar!"
"I would prefer to stay above water as well, but any brave swimmers perhaps check the passage before we go further?"
