Normal 1d6 on second round Pig
Dismoon, you want to Acrobatics vs the ones you run past? Or take your chances? If you take your chances, you can make it with a double move. If you attempt to not provoke, you won't have enough movement

Luurg recoils a bit as the hot stuff burns his bare feet "Yowzah! Luurg's feets is burnin'! Oh, not 'smuch as Pig. You smell bacon Pig?"
Luurg hefts his spear and heads into the room towards the red gobbie with the hole in his shoulder. He does his best tuck and roll attempt to get past the black faced gobbie. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 "OOoph. Luurg's comin' fer you!!"
He thrusts his spear at red, enjoying his new found strength. Melee Spear 2H: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 221d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
With the mutagen going Luurg's AC is now 18, touch of 12 and FF of 16.

"Pig only smell fire!" he howls in frustration as his axe takes a chunk out of a brick in the wall and earns a dent in the blade.

His bottleneck strategy out the window, Hangust flies into an angry rage when the fire hits his skin and he rushes in, attack the first goblin in range.

Woops, hadn't realized we had a tactical map up that others had already moved on, my bad.
Zephyr finds herself a span of feet behind the others and blinks as she runs after them, skidding to a stop as soon as she can see a goblin through the crowded doorway.
Single move gets me to my current spot on the map; not sure if that gives me line of sight to the brown goblin, given the height disparities. If she can loose an arrow at him from here, she will; otherwise I'll double move.
Shot at brown if possible, cover penalty: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 9 - 4 = 11
Damage, gravity bow: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 4) + 3 = 12
(If no line of shot possible, she'll double-move to the orange dot on the map, attempting acrobatics to avoid the AOO)
Contingent Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

GM RePete |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Zephyr, I'll give you line of sight for him, albeit with cover
Moving forward, Zephyr spies part of the boss, standing upon the platform. Loosing an arrow, he fails to connect with his target; the projectile ricochets harmlessly off the ceiling above.
Surging forward, Pig attempts to remove the head of one of the goblins hiding just inside the room. As he swings, the smoke from his flesh obscures his vision and he connects, forcefully...with the wall.
The smaller half-breed, realizing the boss man may be a bigger threat, scrambles into the room and up the stairs. Leaping across the gap, she manages to pull herself up to the platform with stunning grace.
The two goblins holding torches lash out at the poor woman as she scurries past. While the first ones vision is obscured by the smoldering half-orc in front of it, the other manages to connect with her.
AoO Torch Attack 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
AoO Torch Attack 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage vs Dismoon: 1d2 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + (2) + 1 = 4
3 of the damage is fire damage
Hangust fury taking hold, he tries to pierce the first goblin he encounters, not particularly caring who the goblin is. The sudden wiff of searing flesh failing to distract him, his swing finds its mark.
Rolling through the doorway, past the trio of combatants inside the door, Luurg comes up on his feet. Utilizing the momentum the maneuver grants him, the sticky fruit distributor plunges his pole through the goblin's eye and out the back of it's head. The creature shudders for but a moment, and goes limp on the end of Luurg's weapon.
Stablize?: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Pig Fire Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
The goblin farther from the entrance shuffles forward and swings his flaming torch for Hangust's eyes. Conecting with a sizzling 'Thud', the vile man squeals with glee.

Damage: 1d2 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + (1) + 1 = 4

His counterpart, obviously disappointed as the flames flare out with a final scorch of the half-breed, swings for Pig.
Black Torch Attack vs Pig: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d2 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + (3) + 1 = 6

"Kill 'em! Kill longshanks! Kill!!" screams the one near dismoon, obvious annoyance and excitement building with the creatures small stature.
Glaring at Dismoon, he pops open another flask and downs the contents in a single gulp. The man immediately vanishes before her very eyes!

Pig appears unconcerned with his blistered flesh, some of which is weeping serous fluid.
"Gragh! Good job, Appleman." he compliments the other half-orc as he takes another swing at the goblin black. He takes a step into the room.

Hangust ignores his own burning flesh as the goblins fall around him, he turns in time to see Dismoon toss a flask where the last goblin used to be. He takes off in a run to join her at the higher level to try and flush out the last goblin.
Climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 I've had no luck with skill checks this scenario.
But despite his considerable climbing ability, the damage he's taken gets in the way and prevents him from making any progress.

![]() |

Zephyr hurries into the room and drops her bow in order to cup her hands into a foothold. "Hangust! I'll get ya up there!" she shouts at the halfling, bracing her legs to help hurtle the halfling up the edge.
"Dismoon, ya okay up there? Looks like that hurt!"
Move action, then aiding Hangust's climb I guess as a standard? Zephyr has 14 STR and Hangust probably can't weigh more than 70-80 lbs with gear, so if she can just sort of help hurl him upwards she will. If not, we'll just try the standard +2 aid.
Aid climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

GM RePete |

Zephyr, I'll let you grant a +3 to Hangust's climb and +2 to any other that try to utilize your 'cupped hand' (assuming you continue to do it)
Zephyr rushes into the room, managing to tumble pass the goblins busy with his companions. Squatting down, he sets up a step for Hangust.
Acrobatics vs AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Pig brings his axe high above, the flames extinguished he's able to see his target much better and slashes across the goblins chest. Letting out a shriek, it falls to the ground.
Finding herself unable to see her foe anymore, Dismoon lobs a flask in the direction he'd previous been. Exploding on impact, it sends acid in all directions.
Turning, Hangust attempts to utilize Zephyr's assistance. With a step, he leaps for the ledge, coming up just short.
DC 20 to climb up from ground - using the steps requires DC 12 Acrobatics, followed by DC 15 Climb
Shoving his spear through the remaining visible threat, he drops another foe with ease. Blood seeping from the wound, the goblin twitches on the ground.

Zephyr holds her position to see if any want assistance getting up to the platform. Once she realizes she's not needed, she moves to the stairs and charges up. Leaping across the gap, she manages to snack hold of the next section and hoist her way up.
Pig moves to block the goblin's escape route, while Dismoon continues to bleed from her numerous bites.
Hangust's fury infused muscles manage to find a way to grab hold of the wall and scurry up to the platform. Trying to locate the goblin, he swings his kukri, catching air.
Luurg activates one of his 'special fruits' and lobs it up, onto the balcony where it explodes. Coconut chunks flyer everywhere, squashing a few of the spiders in the process.

The sky-folk slips a branch from her sleeve and gently taps the downed half-elf with it, waking her up.
Spying the rope drop down, Pig smashes a beaker on the floor, hoping to antagonize the goblin. As the glass shatters in a burst of flames, a short creature is illuminated momentarily. The sounds of "Ooooo, OW!" come from the bottom of the rope.
Conscious again, the rogue slips out a twig of her own, tapping her bare skin with it. A red symbol appears momentarily at the place of contact and envelopes the woman before disappearing. Her wounds begin to slowly mend themselves.
With a shrug the halfling moves out of the spidery mass, hopping down from the ledge, he swings his blade for the rope. 'Wasn't there something there a moment ago?' Though, he fails to connect with anything, he stands ready.
Dropping his spear, Luurg charges up the stairs. In an uncharacteristic acrobatic performance, the fruit peddler leaps the gap with ease.

Zephyr stumbles across the platform, away from the spiders.
Slashing at the air nearby, Pig could have swore the goblin just ran into him, but fails to connect with anything other than the wall.
Dismoon following in behind Zephyr scurries away from the arachnids as well. As she moves that direction, a red light suddenly shimmers across her skin as her wounds continue to slowly mend.

Chucking a coconut at the writhing mass, Luurg misses by inches. Thankfully the slimy, fiery explosion still engulfs a few of them.
Yet again, the lump of tiny legs and teeth surges across the platform, headed straight for the huddled group. Suddenly, without warning, the mass vanishes into a puff of blue smoke.

With the thrill of finding his foe fresh, the halfling thrusts both weapons forwards, coming up empty on the first, but landing home on the second.
Luurg finding his way to the group, with the swarm gone prods the empty space with his pointed blade, again finding the same results as Hangust and Pig. A sudden 'Thud' is heard in front of them. A pool of green goo forming on the ground from an unseen location.

Cloak and Studded leather are magical....if you manage to find that out
Reminder - All gear the goblins have is sized for them (Small) aka armor...weapons
Now that combat is over, as you glance around you spy a charcoal drawing on the eastern wall of the platform. Numerous amounts of dead dogs, horses, and humans are also displayed.

Pig looks down at the green slime spilling onto the floor and gives it a wary sniff. "Goblin king dead or Pig hitting bag of pea soup?"

Holy smokes! Another formula book! Really wish I could keep that around until I learned spellcraft!
Luurg smiles as his dagger comes back bloodied. "Dis the best dagger! Always know how to stick someting gud. AND it peels apples great!" He stows it away then goes to retrieve his spear before coming back to check things over with the others.
"Oh lots of goodies! Luurg make lots of dis stuff before. Too bad stuff so small. Wonder what dis cloak and armor is. Maybe magiks!" He then looks through the dirty book of pictures and drawings. "Oh dis look neat! See thru guy likes to draw boom boom pictures!"
Luurg stuffs it in his bag to check out more later. If at some point you could copy/paste the extract list I'd be curious to have a look.

Hangust, breathing heavily looks at the fallen goblin with a frown, then makes his way toward Dismoon, looking concerned.
"Are you okay!? I saw you go down up there with the spiders, but I was too focused on the goblin...sorry." He looks down at his feet, ashamed he wasn't able to assist more, but when the looting begins he seems to forget his shame and help everyone sort through the goods.
Looking through the gear he inspects Yaraks leather armor. "I'm not sure if this is better than my armor or not. Anyone know? I'm not really sure how to tell."
"We should probably figure out where to go next though. I wonder what they were singing about. I heard the word BOOM a lot."

After more blanks stares he decides he should just sing the song for them in common, but in a much deeper voice than goblins have along with a bit of a fun dance:
"Firemakers work
Make burny stuff
Burny stuff
Burny stuff
Firemakers make Boom
Grac lose arm
Chuffy lose head
Burny stuff go Boom!
Shut up and work pale-faced lovers!"
"Dat last line sounds a bit funny but who know wid gobbies right?" As he finishes swaying his hips and bouncing his shoulders to the music in his head. "Lez get going bafore my big muskles go away!"

At Hangust's question, she shrugs. "Sorry mate, dunno how to tell about enchantments and such. Doesn't seem we have any of that sort with us, ha!"
She listens to Luurg's recital. "Well it's gotta certain catchiness to it, neh? Maybe that last line wasn't part of the song proper. Alright, do we got a notion of where more of these buggers are hiding? Are theses ones all dead-as-doorknobs?" she says, nudging a few of the goblin bodies to check.

"Look like goblins plan attack," Pig says, pointing at the crude map of Magrimmar.
"Pig think down tunnel makes most sense," he says in answer to Hangust's question about where to go next.
While the others discuss, he brings a wand to Luurg. "Appleman, here is apple-stick. You can use to fix Pig's burns, yes? Pig thank you."
