Yep! I really love teaching, and I'm spending the day working on papers with students in small groups. Time consuming, but often valuable.

Actually I moved north. I still work in Bellevue, and my commute is around an hour now. My daughter bought a small hobby farm to keep horses, and she couldn't find anything close to affordable where we were, so she came up here to do it. So we moved to stay close to her and our grandsons. It is a little more time on the road for me, but we love our new little town. It also puts us closer to Leavenworth (the Bavarian themed alpine town, not the federal penitentiary), which my wife just loves!

Happy to be here! And the busier I am, the more I need to play. It helps me relax from the stresses of work. I am having a lot of fun with Brand. Trying to type in a Cockney accent is definitely interesting, but home it is coming through in an entertaining way for everyone. And as for his mindset, well, he is a street urchin blessed with uncanny luck, and a slightly less than average intelligence, so it's act first and think later...
@GM Parrot, glad you are enjoying teaching. I miss it, though admittedly not the bureaucracy. And I have no interest in going back into teaching in North Carolina - definitely not a pro-education state.

Brand: I have friends at UNC and it is ruff out there. It's awful, considering what a great trajectory NC was on. North into my home state of VA too. The Pacific Northwest is so cushy, it's hard to imagine leaving (as I apply to jobs all over the country). I heard some women talking at the bar, discussing the fact that public school teachers in Seattle make 70 grand a year, which sounds like a reason to get a certificate. But I've seen people go down that road and end up worn out, too.
Tragershen: I still somehow after 8 years haven't been to Leavenworth yet. But a hobby horse farm sounds dreamy! Kate did an apprenticeship as an organic farmer and we still sketch out plans to do that from time to time. The market for English college-level teaching is so bad that it's especially tempting to find a way out: why not the path of the arugula? I hear that north-of-the-West Side region is very beautiful. Are you in the mountains, or still to the west?

Leavenworth is pretty fun. There is white water rafting during the summer. During Octoberfest it is a madhouse. During winter/Christmas, it is pretty magical. They have trains and buses if you don't like driving in the snow.
We love her little property. It already had some horse pastures, and they are taking about adding chickens, maybe a cow or two, some gardens... We plan on doing some gardening at our new home.
We ended up about half way between Everett and Monroe. It is definitely a bit longer of a commute for me, but it is worth it.

GM, Tragershen's Forewarned class ability lets him always act in the surprise round. Can he have that action, or are you saying the circumstances don't allow for that?
I gave Anzath and Brand a surprise round to reflect their stealthy infiltration.
If Tragershen's future vision is tingling and letting him know exactly when the combat is about to begin, you may act again and we'll patch it in.
Also, yeah, I need to get out to Leavenworth someday. And +1 on chickens. Maybe even a pair of egg laying ducks. Duck eggs are incredible.

Thanks! If he was in range, I'd love to start things off with his other glitterdust, catching another few in it. If that is too hard to work in, he can just have cast a mage armor on himself.

If he could get a +1 elven branched spear or curveblade, he'd happily give up the +1 dagger. But until then, he intends to keep that dagger close.

My Archtype dumps Brew Potion, but for this campaign, I am thinking of taking it at 5th, so I can pass them out to the group.

a. stuck in a dungeon or wilderness
or you
b. start time sensitive plot-related crises
but my own longest-running Rappan Athuk game covered years of in-game time, mostly spent crafting in town. Oh man, the party crafter was great. Had all the feats (though a Paragon Surge exploit). It takes a long time to craft a 100k magic item!

Actually, given how I have somehow become a "frontline" fighter as a halfling rogue, I threw the goblin armor in the pile to sell, and am hoping to get a chainshirt +1.... and if I am really lucky, perhaps it will be made of mithril! Yes, it will only increase my AC by 1, but that is 5% less hits! I also left the skull and clock in the pot. They are fun items, and would go well in a trophy room one day, but right now his focus is on surviving. He's about to be married.
So in the end, the only spoils Brand is keeping is the Traveler's Anytool (250 gp).
I also did some cleaning on the spreadsheet, started categorizing things and the like.
For a PnP game I have a rather elaborate google doc excel file. I might make a copy and convert our loot for this game over into it. It works rather well, if I do say so myself.

Tragershen has Craft Wondrous Items and will be spending three days crafting for himself. If others want him to craft for them, he is willing to do so. As the GM said, later on it can take a whole lot of time. Because he is a devout follower of Nethys, he would always give deference to Aurora's asks.

While Tragershen may well be able to learn to do that someday, he'll need the feat and level 5 first.
He could get you a half price cloak of resistance or amulet of natural armor or any other wondrous item that takes your fancy.
