Works for me. Mine is vague on purpose so that I can meld with others. Shall we have met as researchers?
Serithial
...Information on Numeria must be tricky to come by reliably. If we were both doing research, we may have been after the same book at a library (either in Torch or a city on the way to Torch.) Whereas competition for research can make things antagonistic, we found that our desire for knowledge was greater, so we pooled our thoughts together?
So as a complete and Paizo junky I own everything. EVERYTHING. I'm happy to look up specifics to get as detailed as you want.
Selkania
I also own a lot (not everything) as a VO :)
We can have meet in Hajoth Hakados, looking for the same book as you suggest and decided to continue our journey through Numeria together.
When words of Torch's problems arised we've team up to find the reason behind it.
If you have enough money and the GM agrees we can have bought a book about Numeria's wonder (Like a Thread of Silver) ?
Serithial
Sure, I expected to have been from Kyonin, so it makes sense for me to go there. I don't have much money after starting (about 8 Gp). Not to mention I don't know if we want to piss off the Technic League THAT much.... yet.
Serithial
Gotcha. Yeah, I like it. Let's do it.
Serithial
The GM can un dot you. Sorry to see you go, but I'm sure I'll see you around the boards. May all your crits confirm!

No problem EvilMinion! You're undotted. I am going to reach out to someone for that slot then.
Serithial's background mentioned the Pathfinder Chronicles. Hajoth Hakados does have a secret Pathfinder lodge where you could be dong a bit of research (Numeria features heavily in volume 3 of the Chronicles), before reaching out to Khonnir Baine for further studies. The senior cleric in the town, Joram Kyte, is a fellow cleric of Brigh, who could have invited Selkania.
While we're on the subject of HH (because that name's a mouth/keyboardful), that is the closest major city. If you need to requisition items unavailable in Torch, they'll probably come from there. It's also the best place to get higher level spellcasting services (up to 7th level). It is also ~100 miles away, so getting things from there won't be instantaneous. Torch is limited to 3rd level spells (2nd in some cases as the town's most prominent wizard is missing).
Wakedown, I've seen your PM and will respond tonight.

Hello all! Lari reached out to me to potentially fill the final slot in this party.
In coming up with a character for an Iron Gods game, I was gravitating towards a psychic, traveling to Numeria due to her fascination with tales of androids and trying to learn more about the unique way their bodies, minds, and souls interact. However, it looks like the party is already leaning fairly caster heavy, so if you think we could instead use a meatier/more combat focused ally let me know.
Lari, I've sent you a PM with a race question
Serithial
You should play what you'd have the most fun playing!
Serithial
Serithiel is complete. His stat block is up to date and accurate.
Serithial
I do have a google account. I also heartily endorse this idea.
The other one is something like Obsidian Portal. I'm good with either.
If we opt for something like a google drive folder, can we have permission to add? I'll share my notes/sheet there.
"Doctor N"
I'll have some time later today to finish writing up Nordim's backstory and purchase stuff for her (and hopefully find a profile pic that doesn't suck!). This was a busy week for school, but I'm done now, so I actually hve time again lol.
Zoomba
I have a google account, and have had good experience with google Drives/Slides, so that would be fine. I am also still finishing up the crunch for my character, but should have that hopefully set by tomorrow night.
Vivallias ("Viv" to those closer to her) would be a Samsaran whose most recent reincarnation caused her to awaken in the River Kingdoms, an almost unheard of distance away from her homeland. Initially confused as to why her cycle had brought her to Avistan, her first encounter with an android captivated Viv's attention, and made her convinced that they were the reason she must have been reborn here. By studying them and their unique origins she seeks to better understand how the soul, mind, and body can all be joined so as to balance her own racial traits. She has been making forays into Numeria for about 3 years now, and as the campaign begins would be returning to Torch after passing through several months ago to hope to speak to a kind wizard named Khonnir Baine who severed as a useful sounding board in their last meeting...
Of course, some of this is very much able to change if it could be tweaked to help tie the party together. And Slekania Viv is going to have Disable Device as a 'class' skill due to an earlier life as a rogue, so don't feel the need to take that skill if it'd throw something else off.
"Doctor N"
Nordim has to keep disable device maxed to qualify for technomancer ASAP.
The only thing I would double check with the GM about before settling on psychic is exactly how much of your mind-affecting spell list is going to see use. As someone with a level 10 psychic, I can tell you it can be pretty rough if you end up fighting a dungeon full of robots without being able to use any of your best spells. The best solution I've found is to carry a lot of support spells, which works fine in keeping you useful, but you are kind of in a much more reserved support role, which might not be fun for you.
GM Lari

It definitely won't be all robots all the time, but being prepared for creatures without minds is a good idea. Rebirth should let you pick up some more offensive spells. There's also a phrenic amplification that allows mind-affecting spells to target undead. Whipping up a homebrew version that applies that to constructs might be possible.
If you could all PM me your google addresses, I'll add you to a folder where you can view and collaborate on maps, documents, and such.
Vivilaas
Have some final finessing of the stats that will be done tomorrow (feat, full gear, etc.) Viv's Knowledge skills are set in stone for the campaign's beginning though.
Serithial
Oh, I assumed PFS as GML said "as PFS with the following exceptions." Good call, I shouldn't have assumed I guess.
Vaughn Elliot
Greetings all.
DMS gave me an invite for a look-see at this campaign. I've been gaming for many years, so I'm no dunce.
However...you guys intimidate me!!
My knowledge of Pathfinder does not even approach what any of you have. The extras and doo-dads (not druids) you bandy about so easily are almost completely unknown to my poor old ears.
That being said, if you don't mind having and old-timer who prefers to keep things simple, I'd like to put forth myself for consideration in this campaign. INitial thought is a human fighter with two-weapon fighter archetype, wielding daggers (melee primary, short-range secondary). One-sentence back-story is a street thug whose conscience gets the better of him, so he runs away to save his parents the heartache of his crimes while trying to make a better life for himself, and maybe for them too. (but if a front-liner isn't called for, I'd try something else. I do *so* like my gunslinger and would not mind at all doing another one)
What say you all, especially GM Lari? Should I try to step in?
Oh, one more thing: while I'm at work, I can only post on my iPhone, which is not great for the medium (but better than nothing), so sometimes my posts are short for that reason.
Serithial
I can vouch for him. He's been at my gaming table for 20 years. He's an awesome roleplayer

Congrats to Selkania on the Campaign Service Award!
As to the channel, since the archetype is a bit unclear, I'll say you can choose as to whether you want to harm or heal constructs.
Vaughn, you're welcome to join us. A fighter sounds fine. Pretty much everyone else is a caster type (Magus, Cleric, Bard/Swashbuckler, Wizard, and Psychic), so a fighter would help balance things out. Don't worry about the more complicated classes, though you'll definitely be running into some stuff you don't see in your typical Pathfinder campaign, and soon.
If the profile you have now is basically what you're going to use, the only changes you'd need to make would be removing some of the gear (150 gp to start), and adding an additional trait available from the Iron Gods Player's Guide or the Iron Gods section here.
Serithial
Congrats!

@Vaughn: Happy to have you aboard!
@GM: Before I post in game again, you posted this in the original introduction:
Khonnir Baine gave you instructions to meet his guests, a collection of scholars and wanderers...
The Player's Guide gives us this reason to bond together:
... when Khonnir returned to these strange caves to try to learn more, he vanished. The town has grown increasingly desperate for answers, and now looks for the return of their missing wizard as well, but with so many other local and visiting adventurers having gone missing in the caves, fewer and fewer volunteers are stepping forward. You and your new companions have come together to be these latest volunteers.
Just curious, at our "meeting in the tavern", is this a prequel to Khonnir going missing, or are we roleplaying out with the assumption he's missing and we're bonding/uniting in order to find him?
I had been roleplaying such that I was familiar with any of the PCs with the "Local Ties" trait also being friends of Khonnir (such as Nordim) and hoping to rally around a search party to figure out what happened...?

I was thinking starting in Hajoth Hakados would happen before the flame went out, and Baine went missing. As written, the AP starts eight days after the flame went out, and 2* days after Baine goes missing, and messing with that timeframe can cause a bunch of story problems.
My intention was for you to realize the problem on your return, as a way of explaining why the Local Ties crew didn't intervene in any plot-critical events, but either way, you'll get that information as soon as we get rolling, so it's not a huge deal either way.
*I think, I don't have the book in front of me.

Thanks GM :)
I will add the Iron Priest archetype to Selkania

Ah, I was going with what happened in the PG and didn't have any idea if Khonnir was gone for days or months.
Looks like Ray was just playing the part of precog or time lord, then...
Ray tilts his head, as if he hears some distant alarm.
"We must hurry! Something is happening in Torch!"

HM Lari: I'm thinking Against Tecnic League for my 3rd trait. Since Vaughn sees himself as a self-appointed crusader, he's learned about the League and is, well, AGAINST it!! That koo?
Also, switching Dirty Fighter for Exile. Keeping Vagabond Child, and Heart of the Streets alt race trait

Ha! Psycho Mantis! ...and more (I'm also Kayanor.)

Hehe, *wave* and I just realized I didn't wave back at Serithial! *wave*
This week was terrible for me, so much stuff to do, so I've been a bit distracted.
