About Ray the Unbounded

Ray's Greetings:

"Greetings!"

Ray holds up a hand, palm flat, facing out. He wears a smile on his face as casually as a cat naps in the afternoon sun.

"I am... I was known as Ray."

Ray stands, nearly motionless, apparently waiting for a response or a question. Hearing none after a few moments, he continues.

"At least, my master labeled me Ray when we first met. It was some time ago..."

Like a clock, he maintains a rhythm to his story, sharing a bit, then pausing before continuing.

"I remember the day clearly. I awoke on the sand. I blinked. Not because my eyes hurt or because it was bright. I blinked because that is what I needed to do."

As Ray pauses again, you can almost gauge ease pause is exactly two seconds.

"My master was there. He saved me from whatever it was before I awoke. He asked me my name, and I told him I was a ray and that I was out of bounds."

Ray pauses again, but his smile broadens, for he knows he is now unbounded.

"I worked for the master for many years. I fixed his things. He broke many things, but I was always able to fix them. This made the master happy..."

Ray's smile fades and his voice changes, deepens.

"That was until the day the master... broke. I... did not fix the master when he broke. I..."

Ray twitches slightly, looking to the distance and back again.

"I... the master did not need to be fixed. He shouldn't be fixed... he... he... bro..."

Ray pauses, for many seconds. Yet, he smiles again.

"I am Ray. I am now unbounded. I can help fix things when they are broken. Some things... not all things. May I help you?"

Emotionless (Ex) Androids have problems processing emotions properly, and thus take a –4 penalty on Sense Motive checks.
Exceptional Senses Androids have darkvision to a range of 60 feet and low-light vision. They also gain a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.
