My name is Ietsuna and I am a fairly new GM. I have run 3 or 4 PbP games and a handful of in person games, but I am still getting up to speed with everything. I hope you will excuse 1 or 2 mistakes when I inevitably make them.

We'll kick off when everyone has checked in and I have dug out my confirmation documents and slides.

Want us to post the usual sign up stuff here in discussion? (Name, PFS #, etc)

Yes please. I'll throw up a list. I need some things that I have not been asked for previously. Iron Helix made a point of saying the PbP GMs should be putting the starting and finishing XP, GP, PP etc on the chronicles because people are unlikely to print, mark-up then rescan them.

And yes, I have a boon that lets me play a grippli. Just so you know, I have two weird archetypes.

Skirmisher is from Advanced Players Guide and completely gives up ranger magic for hunter tricks, so I'll never get a caster level, and can't even use wands of spells normally on the ranger list. Other than that, it doesn't affect anything until level 5.

Poison Darter is from Blood of the Beast. At level 1, all you need to know is that it gives up favored enemies for some free poison, which kinda sucks at this level. The save DC scales with level and wisdom increases, and it can sicken enemies at level 5, so that's the level when both archetypes become worthwhile.

I too have a Special Trait called Merabian Mentorship which allows me to make a Spellcraft Check (DC15+ Spell level which is 16 at the moment) immediately when I drink any potion/extract containing a spell on my formula list, of which I could cast if I knew it, I can immediate add it to my formule Book. Ghost Writing ftw

Zilona is a phantom blade, so no standard phantom. She gets a weapon similar to a magus's black blade instead that she can manifest after a minute of focus.

So am i right to assume that this board is all out of character stuff? I am writing under the [ooc] format just to be sure. Now to my real question... For some reason my profile name posted one time instead of Alic, I deleted it and replaced it with Alic but now its saying my profile is a character. How do i remove him?

I am not sure I understand your question, sorry Alic.

There is a drop down below the reply box that you can use to select which of your characters makes the post.

I think I get it.

As the Roleplay section is still part of the message boards, your main log in is listed as an alias and is default. Unfortunately, there is no way to set a defalt character per thread so you have to select Alic everytime

So what im saying is in the player and character tabs here i have Alic and Defiant00. I want to remove Defiant00 from both. Everyone else only has the character they a playing only. It not a big deal, im just ocd about weird things i guess.

As for set which character posts you can set which character you wants as your default Fialka, there should be a check box next to your character selction at the bottom of where you post that says set as defualt alias.

Defiant00 removed from characters. I can't do much about the player tab.

Yes but that sets Fialka as the default for everything, not that useful when your in multiple threads.

Your forum name will always be in the drop down list though

So just for general character knowledge i stole some formatting from Kubbup and wrote a background for Alic. If any of you are interested it on his profile page in the about Alic section.

What is take 10? Can some please discribe this to me, thanks much.

takeing 10 is when you are able to take time on a skill, like climbing, there is no duress causing you to react under pressure

Well thats good to know for next time.

Taking 10: When your character is not in immediate danger or distracted, you may choose to take 10. Instead of rolling 1d20 for the skill check, calculate your result as if you had rolled a 10. For many routine tasks, taking 10 makes them automatically successful. Distractions or threats (such as combat) make it impossible for a character to take 10. In most cases, taking 10 is purely a safety measure—you know (or expect) that an average roll will succeed but fear that a poor roll might fail, so you elect to settle for the average roll(a 10). Taking 10 is especially useful in situations where a particularly high roll wouldn’t help.

Just a note it was pointed out to me by a friend that I had 2 combat traits and that wasnt allowed. I have removed the Killer trait and replaced it with Paragon of Speed trait.

I'll be leaving for Gen Con on Wednesday morning, and not coming home until Monday, so I don't know how often I'll be able to post. And I'll be posting from a phone, so I probably won't be able to see maps or anything like that.

If you want to bot me, go ahead - Kubbup just fires arrows a lot, as you've seen. Actually, I forgot to use my poison arrow in my first shot against the minotaur, so my next two shots will use the arrows that I put the poison on earlier. Assuming we win this fight, I'll put poison on two more arrows (my last two doses of the day) before we head back in to finish exploring the rest of the cave system, and use them against any enemies that don't look like oozes, plants, swarms, or undead.

Ok Kubbup. No problem. If/when we re-enter the caves I'll bot you.

We are close to wrapping up. I am getting the chronicles sorted.

Awesome Ietsuna! Perfect pace and really fun as ever. Sorry Fialka was a bit useless there, all the psychic players here take magic missile and I wanted to try something different, silly mindless creatures!

So my friend was talking about the chronicle and he noticed the +1 longsword wasn't listed. I know i dont get to keep it but for the abiltiy to buy it he said it has to be on the chronicle. Just checking about this. Thank you

As they are in the Core Rulebook, +1 weapons are 'always available' meaning you can buy them as soon as you have the money without needing to worry about Fame limits. As a result you will rarely find +1 weapons on chronicle sheets.

Ietsuna you are a great GM. I am going to be running my firsy PbP game during Gameday and I wanted to thank you for showing me it could be a lot of fun. ;)
If i can bring at least half of what you brought to the 'table' this game to my own my players will be happy i assume :p
