Bot Vimar?

Knowledge | GSC | Mummy's Mask | WftC | RotR$ | Carrion Crown

Vimar stands, stunned and a little overwhelmed by all of the monkey howls and attacks from every direction.

Blue and read both rush up to attack Taidus with their clubs, each provoking AoO from him due to his reach.

If the AoOs don't put them down...

Red Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 for damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Blue Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 for damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Round 2 (bold may act):
Vimar, Taidus, Wyatt, D'lack, Kyra, Thorn
Charau-ka: Blue (7 non-lethal, 8 dmg) , Red (8 dmg)

Sorry, work a bit out of control this week.
Snapping out of it, Vimar rushes across the battlefield next to Taidus and stabs any surviving apes with his longspear.
Blue first if still up, red if blue goes down.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Shooting ONLY if the Taidus AoOs don't bring them down.

Better to have a dead one than 2 injured but still fighting enemies; aiming at blue
ATK: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 1 = 9
DM Reroll: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 1 + 4 = 27

Knowledge | GSC | Mummy's Mask | WftC | RotR$ | Carrion Crown

Taidus punches the incoming blue, beating it to the punch, so to speak. Taidus punch hits him square in the jaw, sending him a few feet into the air before he drops in a lump. (@Tauidus - so no damage from the blue attack above)

Vimar slides up and tries to stab the remaining apeman, but comes up short. Tiring of these opponents, Taidus winds up and punches the red, giving him a good wallop, but not enough to drop him. Seeing the blue creature fall, Thorn redirects his aim at the red, putting another arrow into him, ending his life.

This combat ends.

A ragged, much more muted cheer goes up from the camp’s exhausted defenders. The cheer is short-lived, however; almost immediately the guards in the tower sound their horns, and pointing at the cliff that looms over the south end of the dig.

And then, another begins! Wave 3...

The charau-ka make an attempt to climb down the cliffs over the camp and attempt to take it from behind. Most of the charau-ka that attempt to climb down fall, resulting in a chaotic rain of shrieking ape-men. But some have safely landed, and must be dealt with.

D'lack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Thorn curses proficiently before turning towards the cliff. There's no way he can be precise enough for a sneak attack, but an arrow should still be just fine, even if it is a little further than comfortable for shooting. ATK v. Red: 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 1 - 2 = 22 for 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2. Eh, they can't all be awesome hits.

Both red and blue charge at Wyatt with clubs raised.

The flock of eagles tears into the ape man, piece by piece, and when they clear, it is all over.

With the charau-ka and their champion defeated, the remnants of the ape-men flee back into the jungle, giving the excavation site its first relative peace in 10 months.

Congratulations! Thus ends the Rescue at Azlant Ridge!

With most of the camp either wounded or sick, Dias fears she may have to bury the site and take the key with her back to Absalom. Regardless, she thanks you profusely for their timely help, promises to report to her venture-captain in Absalom that the success at Azlant Ridge was due in no small part to your efforts.

A few of the Aspis agents survived the battle. Dias thanks them and then informs them they have 1 hour to rest and then vacate her camp before she orders her Pathfinders to flay the skin from their bones. The Aspis grumble about it, but leave as they were told to.

Over the next several days, Dias guides the camp through packing and loading the caravan wagons to head for the coast and catch a vessel bound for Absalom. She packs away the key and the monolith control device and has the camp workers bury all signs of their dig, including triggering a rock fall to rebury the door to the Azlanti complex.

I should already have everyone's information from Part 1, but if anyone has any changes, notes they want on the chronicle, etc., let me know. I will get them out today, but can always make changes and resend them.

@GM can I check this "Explore an ancient site during the course of an adventure. To qualify, the original occupants must have abandoned
the site at least 1,000 years ago, and it must cover at least 2,500 square feet (a 50-ft.-by-50-ft. area)." for my faction card ?

@D'Lack - I am sorry, but the site was not large enough to meet the 50x50 area, even though the other conditions were met. Even if we included the whole camp, it is only about 1/3 of the size needed.

Not to second guess, but the underground area has a square footage in excess of the 2,500'.

The room with the statues is 40x40 which is 1,600.
The three alcove-like areas are each 250, for another 750.
The final room is 15x15, which is another 225.

That's over 2,500 and there are still some squares not included.

OH! I was off by a factor of 20! For some reason, I was figuring "squares" instead of feet.

50x50 feet is pretty easy - that's just a 10 square by 10 square area!
