The bramble construct is taking serious damage, but you can see from the hardness of the material, that the damage is not as bad as it could be. In fact, Tam's bolt thuds into the wood but seems to have no effect.
@Mouser - Are you still on the mound? Inside it? In an open area? Please describe where you are...

He swings the hammer with as much force as he can muster at her. His whole figure blurs in the motion as Tam's spell takes affect.
