"Oh, then let's go them!
Sealman grabs Rissi's gloved hand and drags her to the nearest cadre of goblins like a kid dragging his mom to the candy store.
"Agreed, we should save as many as we can - they're burning our town!" quickly adds Lucian before wading into the fray again, following Sealman.
Rissi wriggles out of Sealman's grasp, but the ensuing struggle causes her hood to slide back a bit, revealing whiskers, black fur, and a pink nose. She quickly fixes the hood.
"*hiss* I would appreciate it, ill-mannered *chhh* barbarian, if you would refrain from *chhh* touching me"
Kufieno nods, rubbing his shoulder. "Yes we should act quickly." Moving toward Father Zantus, he says. "One of those creature hit me. Could I get a bit of healing?"
Father Zantus heals Kufieno.
Things seem to be calming down a bit as some of the braver citizens have found improved tools with which to defend themselves. The goblins seem to be doing as much damage to themselves and each other and taking care of their own threat. The action seems to be dying down a bit when suddenly a scream and a frantic barking are heard to the north.
Rushing towards Sandpoint's north gate just eat of the White Deer, the party comes across a man whom Lucian recognizes as local nobleman Aldern Foxglove cowering behind a rain barrel calling for help while his hunting dog approaches a goblin commando mounted on a goblin dog. You arrive just in time to watch as the goblin commando kills Aldern's dog, sending the dog crashing to ground as three nearby goblins throw up a cheer and emerge from hiding now that the dog threat has been dealt with.
The goblins now turn their attention to Foxglove but luckily you have arrived on the scene, hopefully to save the nobleman from the goblin leader and his minions!
The goblins move out of their hiding places, approaching Aldern with wild looks in their eyes!
Kufieno lowers his crossbow amd fires at a goblin.
Kufieno's arrow goes flying past one of the goblins. The goblin leader turns to the sylph, enraged at the sight of someone who would oppose him. He rides his goblin dog back a bit and fires a shortbow in Kufieno's direction.
Rissi pulls another scroll and starts chanting from it.
Lucian takes a deep breath and utters a prayer to Desna. "O Desna, give us the strength and assurance to protect the weary travellers assaulted by those goblins."
The Varisian then moves closer to Sealman, ready to heal any injury.
A smile grows across Seal's face as he discovers a new batch of goblins. After Lucian casts his Blessing, Seal looks around at his options. He charges the only enemy in range, the Goblin Commando!
"For the Swallowtails!"
Rissi begins to cast a familiar spell!
Lucian blesses the party!
Seal charges in with his polearm but it bounces off the commando's armor!
Miana hurls a chakram at one of the goblins and takes it down!

The goblins move to advance on Seal and Miana with their dogslicers drawn!
Kufieno moves closer and sends a frosty ray at the goblin to the south of him.
Kufieno ices one of the goblins!

The goblin commando moves in on Seal and attacks from the back of his goblin dog!
Rissi casts a spell at the goblin closest to her. "Moon-faced assassins of joy! Take this!"
"Ow! Quit it!"
Seal then swings at one of the many targets available to him.

Miana can't help but chuckle at Rissi's battlecry. "Don't get too excited, or I'd think you're having fun!", the paladin quips, charging forth towards the goblin moving towards her.
However, Miana's hitting streak ends as she accidentally clips the dirt while trying to perform an upward slash, only sending a small cloud of dust at the little greenskin.
Lucian moves behind Sealman, praying Desna to guide his strong arm in battle.
Rissi finishes her spell and puts one of the goblins to sleep. Rissi then casts another spell but her victim seems unaffected.
Lucian moves up and gives guidance to Sealman.
Miana charges forward but gets distracted by her own quip to Rissi!
Seal swings at the goblin commando but misses!

The awake goblin near Miana spars off with her with his dogslicer!
Kufieno moves up behind Seal and casts another spell, pointing at the goblin commando's weapon. The horsechopper begins glowing red hot!
Kufieno casts a spell and the goblin commando tosses his horsechopper to the ground as it begins to heat up!

The commando steps his goblin dog back a few feat and pulls out his shortbow, aiming at Kufieno!
Rissi moves closer to the fray.
Lucian once again prays for guidance upon Sealman.
Rissi closes in on the goblins!
Lucian gives Seal guidance again!
Miana slices one of the goblins nearly in two!
"Why are you still up? You should be dying now.
Seal twirls the polearm around his head as he steps up to the goblin. With a brutal flourish, he brings it down in an over head arc upon the commando.
Seal once again fails to hit the leader goblin.

Kufieno steps to the south of Seal, conjuring another snowball amd throwing it at the goblin.
Kufieno hurls a snowball, hitting the goblin leader in the chest!

The goblin commando continues to back his goblin dog away while firing his bow at Seal!
Rissi gestures at the mounted goblin with her gloved hand, muttering her incantations in a quiet tone.
Seal circles around the goblin, growing in frustration at this dodgy character.
Kufieno nods at Miana's statement, steps back and reloads his crossbow, then fires it at the goblin.
Rissi's spell seems to have dazed the leader!
Miana's chakram then flies past, hitting the goblin in the chest!
Seal swings and misses again, having a string of bad luck.
Kufieno fires his crossbow but the bolt flies past the commando.
Lucian gets closer to Sealman, moving at a fast pace to implore Desna's help with the unlucky dwarf.
Lucian moves up into the fray!
The goblin commando stands dazed!
The small, cloaked wizard conjures a splash of acid and hurls it at the goblin with great accuracy.

Seal continues to circle around the goblin to trap him between his companions. As the goblin stands there dazed, Seal yells at him.
"Why you lookin' at me like that? Why you lookin' at me like that!?"
Kufieno steps to the south as he reloads his crossbow, then fires at the dazed goblin.
Lucian moves behind Miana and uses his guidance to help her.
Rissi hits the goblin with a glob of acid!
Lucian gives Miana guidance.
Miana then finishes the goblin off!
His dog goes running off into the wilderness.
With the goblins finished, Aldern Foxgloves comes out from behind the barrel. "Ah! Thank you so much my friends! And especially you, my dear." Aldern makes a dramatic bow and kisses Miana's hand. "Of course, if I had been armed I would have better defended myself but I do not make a habit of arming myself during festivals, haha!"
Aldern hears a commotion behind him and nervously turns around to see a goblin leap off a roof only to fall into a barrel of water, which immediately tips over. The drenched goblin goes running for the trees.
"So," Aldern continues, "I'll be in town for a few more days, staying at the Rusty Dragon. When you get the chance, I'd love to talk with you some more. Perhaps I will reward you properly for saving my life."
Heading back into town, you can see that Sandpoint's overall battle against the goblins has been decided. Surviving goblins are fleeing north in droves. Several of the little menaces are caught alive but they prove useless when interrogated; none of them know much more than that they were given orders to kill everyone in town and burn down the place.
In the shadow of the goblin attack, Sandpoint is hardly interested in finishing up the Swallowtail Festival-citizens retreat to their homes to hide and recover from the day's horrors, yet as they go, they take the time to thank you for saving them.
Finally, towards the end of the day Ameiko kaijitsu approaches you, "So I hear that you folks are the heroes of the day, huh? Tell you what, free rooms at the Rusty Dragon for a week. It's the best I can do to repay you for helping out."

Miana is a bit taken off guard by Aldern's act of gratitude. "There is no need for thanks. It is my duty to help those who need it; I'm just glad you're safe.", the tanned woman smiling at him before returning to the others and retrieving her tossed weapons.
"Excellent, effort everyone!", Miana excitedly says to party, her genie-blood running hotter from the adrenaline of battle. "Your magic was quite effective, Rissi!", turning to the short, cloaked woman. "Easily saved us some potentially telling blows." Then to the dwarf, "And what power in your blows! I think I could barely take one on the receiving end, myself!" Looking over to Kufieno, she presents a more quizzical look. "Interesting to see a snowball with such power, especially in the heat of this sun. What arcana do you study?" Finally standing to Lucien, Miana smiles once again. "And once again, thank you for healing my wound and for your blessings. It was just the edge I needed to contribute my martial abilities."
At the commando's loot, Miana will dispense with the others on what to do with it. She is curious about the quality of the horsechopper, particularly to how the goblin had it made, but leaves it at that.
Upon Ameiko greeting them once again, Miana cheerfully takes her offer. "If it comes with more exquisite cuisine as with lunch, then then your offer is more than generous!"
"Although food may be *chhh* foremost in the mind of some here..." she says, her hood vaguely pointing in Sealman's direction "...perhaps it would be *chhh* wise to interrogate some of these psychopathic goblins so as to ascertain their *squeek* purpose here. Or are their raids are *chh* common enough as to not elicit curiosity from a Sandpoint local?" The hood turns to Lucian as the Rissi's voice takes a questioning (and rather serious) tone.
