Round 12
Please stick to an action and stop jumping back and forth because it is confusing me
Joseph, Wintry and Johnathan shovels the gems taking 1d6 ⇒ 4 fire damage.
Merle goes up stairs to warn the people for an evacuation.
Chretien checks out the schematics on the machine, figuring out what needs to be done and calls over Mithas and others to help him.

GMEDWIN |

Round 13
Johnathan and Mithas go over to help Chretien, both are successful of their checks.
Meanwhile Joseph and Wintry on the shovel 1d6 ⇒ 6 fire damage, after shoveling they collapse due to the heat.
Round 14
Joseph and Wintry please give stabilization checks.
Merle finally makes it to the party.
Merle, who are you looking to speak with?

Cretien Dufrene |

"Mechanus, take those two up one level." Cretien instructs the Mechanus.
dunno if thatll work, but it shouldnt hurt even if it only gets them closer to the exit.

Cretien Dufrene |

Seeing that two of his companions passed out, Cretien moves to shovel firegems. The calibrations would normally take a team of people, and his team of RHC didn't have the requisite spread of specialties. Cretien sighs, shoveling as fast as he can.

Joseph Reginald Coopsworth |

Stabalization: 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (14) - 5 = 9 So close, taking my point boss.
Joseph's last dramatic words before he collapses in the dust, burns and welts evident a crossed his body."Must..... save...... tehm..... mother........"

Cretien Dufrene |

If i can, i would like to roll my disposable simulacrum over to my fallen comrades and have it do heal checks on them. its a long shot, since it'd have to roll a 15 with no bonuses. but it can be doing that while i shovel.

Johnathan Eli Holbrook |

Johnathan stares in shock as the mechanus drags the two away.
"Are--are they dead?"
He sees that Mithas is working frantically, and Cretien is busy shoveling. Shielding his face from the heat, he approaches the arcana panel, hands shaking, whispering to himself.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

ACI Stover Delft AKA GM |

Johnathan you wouldnt know about the other two teammates because you'd be concentrating on the the damned panel. I don't need any more rolls from you.
Delft seeing Merle walks over to him and says to him in a whisper,"Everything's ok? we have set up the emergency boats just in case. But the party is going really well."

Cretien Dufrene |

heal: 1d20 ⇒ 7 vs DC 15 to stabilize the victim

Merle Adaire |

"Well there's been an emergency in the boiler room". "Sabotage if you can believe it". "The others tend to think they can control it...but just in case they're wrong, I believe we should get everyone safely off the ship". "I suggest that if we ere we ere on the side of caution". "For sure we should get the King and his party off the ship". "Especially since the Duchess has already departed". Merle raises his eyebrow a bit at the last part of his statement.

ACI Stover Delft AKA GM |

I am a bit confused which parts are actually said to your boss and which are internal dialogue.
Delft spits some chaw onto the floor and says, "I told Joseph to sound the alarm if it was time to evacuate, the boats are ready, why didn't you sound the alarm?"
He scratches his chin, "ERE! on the side of caution, this is the day of the KING's big accomplishment, we can get everyone of this heap in 30 seconds flat, the escort ships are in close proximity for swimmers" he points out at the lights off to starboard. GET Yer ass back down there and help your team!!!!"

I said everything in bold.
"With all due respect sir, you'll have to ask Josseph that question". "I'm only here trying to save lives". And I respectfully disagree that you can evacuate a ship this size in 30 seconds". "If you don't trust my instincts then, I'll offer up my resignation". Merle turns and heads towards Harkover".
"Sir". "There may be danger". "The ship has been compromised, and there is danger of an explosion".

GMEDWIN |

Delft shakes his head as Merle walks off.
Lee scratches his beard and says, "OK, OK, I will teleport the king off of the ship and you and Delft organize the evacuation..."
He then turns to Massarde who is half in the bag "Get your red ass downstairs and try to save your baby..."
The tiefling gulps his rye and runs downstairs as fast he can.

GMEDWIN |

In order to speed this up, Mithas give me your knowledge nature check, Merle give me either a Diplomacy check or Intimidate check to get the people on the lifeboats. Wintry give me another stability check
Simulacrum healing check on Wintry 1d20 ⇒ 13
Round 16, 17 18 19 20 21
1d6 ⇒ 3
1d6 ⇒ 1
1d6 ⇒ 5
1d6 ⇒ 4
1d6 ⇒ 2
1d6 ⇒ 1, Chretien takes no HP damage while scooping.
His, shovel slags and he needs to grab a new one.

Cretien Dufrene |

Cretien will grab a new one and keep shoveling, and his simulacrum will keep trying to stop the bleeding and crudely dress the burns of the fallen party members.

GMEDWIN |

Through the combined skills of Johnathan, Mithas and Chretien, you are able to channel the excess fire mana from the engine into the capacitor, and then release it as a blast of the ship’s brand.
The ship shudders, the engine room glows with red-orange light from
all directions, and on deck, the capacitor crackles with red energy. The
dignitaries scream and cower in fear, and then a gout of flame shoots
forth from the figurehead with a roar, vaporizing a large volume of water
on the surface of the ocean a hundred feet away. The ship shudders one
last time, and then the furnace dims to a safe level.
Massarde comes down the ladder as this happens causing the tiefling to fall on his keester causing him to lose face.
He wastes no time seeing to Wintry and Joseph with potions of CLW.
Meanwhile, the king who was finishing his speech as Merle, Delft and Lee are discreetly getting passengers on the lifeboats. Lee hears the first shudder and runs towards the king and grabs him, teleporting to another ship nearby, however, the king does not, teleport.

Cretien Dufrene |

Cretien lets out an audible sigh of relief, wipes away the few drops of sweat that accumulated on his brow, and moves to aid any of his party members still in need.

Johnathan Eli Holbrook |

Johnathan lets out a whoop as he jumps in the air, laughing.
"I can't believe it, I thought I was a goner on my first day at work!"
His elation fades as he sees the team's losses, hurrying over to them and kneeling.
"Are they...are they dead?" He asks Cretien.

Cretien Dufrene |

"Not sure. Gimme a hand here, I don't remember much from the basic life saving steps they taught us in school."
heal: 1d20 ⇒ 19 to stabilize anyone who needs it. If no one needs it, then i suppose try to get them to a less steam-filled area.
Cretien will try to get a back-brief from Massarde once his RHC compatriots have their wits about them once more.

GMEDWIN |

[ooc] For Wintry 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 and Joseph 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Massarde pours the healing elixer down the throats of these two, and sayz "Boys, you sure know how to ruin a good buzz, HAHAHAHAHAHA! But astounding work I must say, was totally ingenious. I did tell them to wait until everything was wholly calibrated but oh well..."
He passes around a flask and says, Here's mud in yer eye!!!!
On the top deck, Delft says, "I itn't gotta clue, lets get a drink."

Cretien Dufrene |

oh, Wintry is a he. Learn something new every day!
Cretien takes a deep pull of the flask, needing to calm his nerves after such a close call with what would likely have been a catastrophic event.
"Why'd you make that thing so complicated to calibrate? The necessities of calibration were obvious, but it seems that you'd need either thrice the people or a damned hard to find specialist to calibrate that thing..."

GMEDWIN |

Massarde looks at Chretien and says, "This was supposed to only be a night cruise be back by midnight, was good enough to get us out in the harbor and back. Mistakes were a lot, skeleton crew, minimal security and a publicity stunt. Overfilling the boiler with firegems would have obviously led to an explosion either way."
Johnathan

Johnathan Eli Holbrook |

Johnathan runs back down to the top of the ladder.
"If you're well enough, you should see this, just in case." He shouts down to them.
He leads them to the magazine, and shows them a dead female sailor hidden behind a large cask of gunpowder.
"From the dream, remember? Firedust, we couldn't save her."

Arvangail Wintry |

looking at the dead body Well she is dead and although i never dreamed of her well i can at least help you jonathan
he puts his hand on his shoulder and he can feel healing energy coursing through his body.
Healing Hand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Cretien Dufrene |

"What else was in your dream again? If you are experiencing one thing, perhaps we can anticipate more."
