"lets not get to worried just yet, there could still be a mundane reson for all this. So lets down load the AI's records, sound and vision and life support, air pressure and any logs. I want it all, we can go over it and see what we got"
she waits for it to come in.

GMEDWIN |

You get mountains upon mountains of data, sent through to the probe, and that is just from when they started putting the station together months back. The only thing that reads out of the ordinary is a dome breach, that was quickly sealed by the AI which led to the loss of communication with Fleet.

Aannraa Sal Da Qill |

Going backwards from there current date she looks over the CCTV images looking for station crew. The breach date and also the docked ships crews entry to the station and what they did. Then station crew log comments on "breach"
lets have some computer use or tech rolls crew, there is useful stuff in this data some where

brings up the images of the Sigma crew and them moving around until image is lost.
"What ever happened to them did so in the places where there is no CCTV, that means intent. The chances that ALL of them went missing off grid by chance is to small. I want that hatch location. Also locations of the last feed from each crew member. Then Nariya take over a station service bot and send it to each location, leaving the hatch till last. Where looking for body's guys. Kira, Red suit up, I'm sending you over to the Sigma, take the pod. Your to enter v its own space air lock, not the station. If its not sealed from the station do so. Then Search the ship, Then link to its AI and lets see what it has to say. I want a second root out if this turns bad. Off you go, we will feed you intel as we get it, all comms tight beam with full inception"

GMEDWIN |

2 of 6, not all. Both your ship and the sigma have only one airlock and the sigma's airlock is connected to the station. If you want to explore the sigma, you will either need to go into the station or cut into the sigma but if the crew members are in there, you will kill them.

Aannraa Sal Da Qill |

Was going off the ship plans I put up, of a scout. So only one doc and no air raft/pod I take it. Odd design for an advanced ship then but Ill go with it. But need to recover
"Hold that Order, just checked the Sigma, they have it in lockdown so the only way in is for us v his dock now locked to the station. I really do not want to dock just yet. So you two are to space walk over into the dock area gain entry from there. Its that or we find a maintenance lock on the main station. Not a good idea. We will drop you off blind side and you make your way there. Ill bring her round under stealth to get a view. So get your thruster packs. Once you have the dock area clear and looked over the Sigma we will dock. If your hit trouble and need an evack, we will dock, understood. ok! lets do this."
Trying to get the parry to do things as there own lead PCs etc, a small team securing the docking area and Nariya working to get the stations systems doing things for us. You happy with that guys?

Kira Sovaar |

Kira cringes. "I despise going E-V. Well, Red, you ready to go? Time to knock on their door and ask for some sweetener."
Kira then heads to the airlock to suit up into a spacesuit and double checks her gear as she waits for Red.

GMEDWIN |

I will kick it forward.
The away team puts on their space suits, pile into the airlock and then the heavy door shuts, protecting the crew on the inside and preserving precious oxygen. Once everything is cleared and the pressure matched with that on the outside, the door to the cold beautiful, deadly wonder which is space floods with you, fore you know that a puncture in your space suit means certain death from either suffocation or the extremely cold temperatures. The mini jets on your suits push you towards the Sigma and the station.

GMEDWIN |

I am going to need some tech rolls for the away team... I want to clarify. The space team want to open the dock to the station manually from the outside. You want to make contact with the station to hack it. Wouldn't it make more sense to just contact the station normally? It does belong to the fleet and you have fleet security codes. If you want, you can of course. :)

Aannraa Sal Da Qill |

O yes but then when the Evil AI/Alien bugs/virus jump onto our only means to get away v the now linked ships, that would be bad no. Risk not ease here is the key thinking. Minimising risk, so we do it the hard way.
Looks over the footage again to see if she can work our where the rest of the other ships crew went.
Gm fill us in where just robots on this station or what there an human oversight crew?. Also are the robots till 100% in all areas?, what king of robots are they?. What is the airlock like? Is the station Armed ? if so what with? The alien object? what's there heat, UV any radiation off it, of any kind we can detect.? its it actively scanning? What is the Atmosphere reading on the station? Have there been an ship log entry's on the ship or the station? If we have the codes can we send a Robot to open the airlock, inspect the area where the crew went and go look at where the alien object linked to the station?. Can we used Station CCTV to see airlock area? Alien area? just a few things to help us get an idea of what is going on and things a crew like this would be thinking about and looking into. They have all seen the TRI-D Movies where unwise crews go walking around a Killer Alien infested space station.

That is called metagaming.
Kask is located deep within Fleet Space and not near a militarized zone. The station is not armed. There are weapons on the station but no intership weaponry.
Timeline of the project.
1 year ago: Planet Kask was deemed to be an excellent planet to be terraformed and colonized.
9 months ago: A freighter came and set up the first robots to start building Kask Station and to start adding plants to the planet. Without human supervision
4 months ago: The zoo was completed which was set up to adapt earth animals to their new home on Kask.
2 months ago: The station was completed
6 weeks ago: Communication from the station ceased.
4 weeks ago: Last missive from the Sigma was received by Fleet. Sigma was supposed to have started to bring animals from the zoo down to the planets surface and check why the station stopped reporting. They reported they had made contact with the station and then were going to visit.
Information on the different robots and what they do, should be a knowledge technology roll, the DC is dependent upon how you are trying to get the information and so on. As my old GM used to say, "the more specific you are, the more likely you will get some spot bonuses to your roll." Any questions regarding the ovoid in the dome also needs to be rolled. The atmosphere and stuff is normal, except when the ovoid pierced the dome before it was sealed. You can request the AI to do things using the codes. I would also need a Use Technology roll.

Knowledge (Technology) - Query: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
"Communicating with the station AI now, Commander. I'm using secure encrypted communications to ring the doorbell, as they say. Hopefully I can get the station to unlock the front door for Red and Kira. I'm also querying the station AI about anything unusual that might have occurred, besides the obvious of course."
Nariya reads the data displayed in front of her.
"Just a note, Commander, but it may be easier to talk to the AI if we were actually docked with the station, not to mention we could get a better idea of the situation aboard. I feel a bit uneasy with Red and Kira out there."

Kira Sovaar |

Kira hums to herself as she slowly makes her way through space to the station. If I die out here, I'm so going to haunt the Commander...
No Use Tech Device, but she does have Use Computer. Santiago was very vague with the new Skills... That being said, have we arrived at the airlock? If so, here are some relevant rolls.
Use Computer - Open Airlock: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Knowledge (Engineering)- Open Airlock: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Also.. Perception - Look for anything out of the ordinary or anything that might help get INTO the station: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

A.I |

Red and Kira make their way to the airlock and they find a keypad on the outside designed primarily for maintenance. The overly large protective gloves causes her to fumble her way through using the keypad, causing her not to be able to open it.
Nariya
Nariya requests that the airlock be opened and the AI says, "As you command!"
The airlock opens, spewing out precious oxygen with such force that
Reflex save Kira DC 15 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 fail, Reflex Save DC 15 Red 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 pass
Kira is pushed 400 yards away from the station but Red is able to hold onto the bottom of the platform without being pushed away.
Nariya

Kira Sovaar |

D'oh. Should have Taken 10, or 20...
"Frelling Frell! I'm blaming you, Nariya!" Kira cusses as she's blown away from the airlock. She tries to stabilize herself so she can begin the slow, arduous journey back to the station's airlock.

Nariya Tetrax |

Nariya ignores Kira's cursing and checks the sensors to be sure that she isn't lost into space.
"Commander, this is... odd. The logs report that the station last reported six weeks ago, but the Station AI informed me that the Object pierced the dome eight weeks ago. Why was the object not reported to Fleet? I'm just postulating, but I think that perhaps Fleet received a message from the station about the Object and sent in Sigma Team to investigate. We can't deduce exactly what they did or what happened until we dock and see for ourselves, but that is something to keep in mind. Kask's AI also has informed me that two of the crew members went into the Aquarium section of the zoo where there are no CCTVs, and that the AI has not been able to communicate with them since. Let me find out about the other members of Sigma..."
To Kask AI: "What is the location and status of the remaining two members of Sigma team? What is the current progress update for the project?"
"Oh, and Commander, Kira is now floating through space, presumably on her way back to the maintenance airlock."

A.I |

The AI says, "Does not compute, two members are underneath the zoo"s aquarium not on video and not responding to comms, the four others are in their spacecraft."
The AI then says, "The project is waiting to move onto the next stage which is transporting the animals to planet Kask. And to begin processing colonists."

Aannraa Sal Da Qill |

She looks on and flicks the Coms to
Kira
"You all right Kira, that air lock should not bleed that much air unless broken, its an 'air lock' after all. Check it once you get back to it, if the AI says things are fine and its not we need to know Asap. O and Keep an ear on our chatter so you know when we get the AI to do things."
Then looking over at Nariya
"I agree, looks like fleet have made us the expendables again. Poor sods, well lets get this going, get a bot with eyes we can see thought down there. O and we don't dock till Kira and red have the docking area secure, if that means waiting in getting our bot working then so be it. Safe not sorry is our motto from here on out."

GMEDWIN |

Kira floats her way back to the airlock and Red goes inside, afterwards both of them climb inside the airlock and then door closes behind them

front of you. Should you require assistance, the station is voice-activated. Simply ask for assistance, and I will be happy to help you.

She placed the override codes on the screen and linkes to the IA.
"This is Fleet security office Aannraa Sal Da Qill, you are to give is full access to all main-frame areas and data banks as per the override feel codes sent, Fleet quarantine protocols are now to be placed into affect station wide. Security access is restricted to myself members of this crew alone. All none nonessential systems are to be placed in lock down during quarantine inspection. The AI responds, "Welcome to Kask Station. I am the AI. “Please identify yourself while on board the Planet Kask Outpost Station by wearing one of the identification bands we have provided.
You may then proceed to the station proper by making a selection on the terminal in front of you. Should you require assistance, the station is voice-activated. Simply ask for assistance, and I will be happy to help you. Enjoy your stay.”
The AI then responds to you "Sorry, I am not programmed to lie."

Aannraa Sal Da Qill |

"Acknowledged Station AI, now acknowledged fleet command override codes sent from us, and acknowledge Fleet Command override of station command. Then have the station placed in quarantine. Acknowledge percents of alien object on your outer superstructure, images and location sent. Acknowledge over"
She waits

A.I |

The AI says, "You have not put on your identification bands. Requests do not compute. You say you acknowledge but do not acknowledge. The ID bands are for your safety, and permit access to other parts of the station. There is a foreign substance in Beta Sector which you should investigate. We do not have an alien object in our superstructure. The station was struck and then sealed. All sections are quarantined. According to the historiography of the word, quarantine comes from the Dalmatian word 'quaranta'for forty, which is how long people were required to stay aship during the black death before coming ashore at the city of Ragusa now known as Dubrovnik during the 14th century, according to the old Terran time system. So shall you wait in the airlock for forty days, ma'am?"

Aannraa Sal Da Qill |

"Now where getting some where, and no we will not be waiting at in the airlock for 40 days"
She go's over and puts on an armband.
She was use to the pedantry and literal logic of IAs, it way why the fleet never used them for anything more tactical. Far to easily confused be changing situations.
"Grab and band all, Red we need to get to this Beta Sector, you have the leed."
She picked up her bag and waited for him to lead them.

A.I |

You all put on your security wristbands and move into the elevator. The large elevator door closes behind you and you see a terminal in front of you with two large buttons one pointing up and the other down and then the A.I speaks to you, “Routine maintenance of airlock integrity
is required. Standard testing will commence in five minutes.”
