At Benevolence's introduction you hear a high pitch squell and then some language being spoken, "घुसपैठियों मेरे कीमती बच्चों को नुकसान करने के लिए आते हैं. जबड़े हमले स्नैप!

Round 1
Enemies, >Yamada, Benevolence, Arnthoth, Chochok, Maxine
An alligator comes swiming out of the swamp and running up to the party to attack it, while you see a small kobold climb on top of the log and begin moving it's arms in some repetative motion.
Yamada Tarō aka Hayai-Kage
|
Looks like the kobold is right in front of me
Move action draw blade (does not draw AoO), Attack action attack with two handed strike.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Chochok Tree Whisper
|
Is that the kobold next to me? I think so.
Fearing that this may have been a miscommunication, Chochok swings his earth breaker at the kobold's legs, not wanting to kill the poor thing.
Taking the -4 attack penalty to do nonlethal damage
Power Attack Earth Breaker nonlethal bless: 1d20 + 2 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 2 - 4 + 1 = 19
nonlethal damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
crit confirm: 1d20 + 2 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 2 - 4 + 1 = 9
extra nonlethal damage: 4d6 + 12 ⇒ (3, 6, 6, 2) + 12 = 29
Probably doesn't confirm. Just in case people are unaware, nonlethal is tracked separately and only becomes lethal damage if the amount of nonlethal exceeds the creature's maximum HP. The creature falls unconscious if the amount of nonlethal exceeds its current HP. Just thought it might become relevant very soon; not sure this thing has too many HP.

Rofl that is Rees next to Yamada and Cho, the kobold, while a little difficult to see is right in the middle of the log on the map. Put a little circle under her for easier viewing. The alligator is right next to Maxime. Go ahead and adjust your actions.
Chochok Tree Whisper
|
Looks like I'm closer to the alligator. I still don't want to kill it so keep the -4 nonlethal penalty but add +2 attack/damage for favored enemy.
| GM Dak |
Benevolence calls to her diety letting warming light wash over the group, bolstering them for the fight ahead. Yamada moves up to attack the alligator but has no luck. Following him Chochok smashes into the alligator it stuns him abit as the weapon comes down on his head, but doesn't seem to do any real damage. Maxime draws his weapon while examining the kobold, who he tells the party is in fact evil.
Just waiting on Arn
| GM Dak |
Arnthoth moves up swinging at the alligator and connecting with a solid hit. Along with Chochok's earlier damage the alligator goes down, knocked out cold. As this occurs the kobold finishes casting a spell and roots and vines creep out of the ground trying to grab a hold of everyone.
Everyone Ref save (DC13) or entangled

Benevolence will attempt to break free and then begin trudging her way to the edge of the entangle.

Abadar ! What the hell !
Said Maxime when the plants surrounded him
God, I hate the wilderness !
Then he tried to get free of the spell

The vines wrap around Yamada, Maxime, Benevolence and Rees, leaving Arnthoth and Chochok unhindered who move up to deal with the kobold. Maxime and Benevolence manage to break free of the vinces and move out of their reach. While Yamada remains entangled with Rees.
The kobold moves back as the two approach and makes a quick motion as a bright green frog with bright red spots comes out of nowhere next to Arnthoth and Chochok. It tries to bite.

Tree Whisper will work his way back to the alligator to make sure that its wounds are healed and that it will be able to recover fully once it wakes up from its stupor. He will allow the others in the party to investigate the kobold's stump.
| GM Dak |
The kobold has a wand, a club, and 8 amethysts. There is nothing else of value. The alligator is alive but unconcious.
You continue on the path from the map and as dusk sets in you find yourself coming out of the swamp and into open plains obviously getting closeer to the coast. You estimate that after resting for the night you will likely reach Pier's End after midday tomorrow.
| GM Dak |
You hunker down for the night everyone trying to get some rest, some still not feeling to great with a fever and nasty cough. Through the night there is no incident but this is the first night in the last several days it's been comfortable sleeping.
Arn-Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Cho-Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Max-Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
The next morning Arnthoth seems to be over whatever was ailing him while Chochok and Maxime seem to have caught the bug. Although not excessively sick they definitely have a fever and a nasty cough. Or made your save but still diseased :P
| GM Dak |
Heading off the walk is easier, much easier than the last several days and soon you start to smell the ocean air. After a few hours you reach the town of Pier's End. The sleepy fishing village offers a warm inn, a hot meal, and is where you will find a way to cross to the Isle of Erran. Spending some time asking around you find three captains capable of ferrying you to Escadar.
Basic description below from info you have gathered, before speaking to them.
Darice Sumore is a surly looking young woman, but if her sea-weathered face were softened, she could be considered pretty. Not excessively freindly she still knows her way in the sea. It's rumered her father was a Pathfinder who she never knew, but she carries a trinket of his around her neck at all times.
Small Otti is a fat halfling who constantly states that his plump stature helps with buoyancy at sea. He enjoys his coin, but even more so loves his food and drink. He's much easier to haggle with if treated to some fine food and drink.
Crazy Old Tanner is a disheveled, fish-smelling, and wild-eyed man who constantly talks out the side of his mouth while blowing thick gouts of grey smoke from an aromatic pipe. He is fit to yelling at the sea, accusing it of being an unfaithful mistress and talking about how things were better when he was much younger. The townsfolk all think he is crazy, but none of them deny his abaility at sea.
Maxime Chanteclerc
|
May be we can ask around which captain is the most skilled or reliable ? Or how to convince them giving us a fair price ?
Said Maxime
Diplomacy for Gather information or Knowledge Local
Maxime Chanteclerc
|
With his best charming smile, Maxime went to her
Hi Captain. I'm Maxime Chanteclerc a new agent of the Pathfinder Society, as my fellow comrades here. said Maxime pointing at the others
I heard you're one of the most skilled here and we would like to cross to Escadar. As I heard of your parentage to one of our fellow agent, I went right to you
added Maxime pointing to the tarnished wayfinder.

Aid Another Diplomacy - 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
We asked around town and as soon as we heard of you being the child of a pathfinder, we decided we couldn't go to anyone but you.
Benevolence
|
Benevolence will give a short bow in respect to the captain and attempt to aid Maxime.
"Greetings honorable captain, we have been told you are the best."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Chochok Tree Whisper

Tree Whisper will dismount his horse and address the woman. "We felt that, having ties to the Pathfinders, you might be the most trustworthy soul in town."
Diplomacy aid: 1d20 ⇒ 5
| GM Dak |
She flits her hair back and glares at the lot of you "Pfft, Pathfinders like my no good father. You've all probably run off and abandonded your family for adventure..." She shakes her head dismissively "But what sort of captain would I be to my crew if I didn't take a job. So I'll provide you passage across 6 gold a person."
