I think for our actions to work as specified, we need to have either our starboard or port side facing red, so the gyrolaser can fire at -2 and the Light Lasers normally.

While there is a flurry of fire, no ship takes a direct hit from the explosives and energy weapons. Still, your ship ends the round better than before, as they have one less missile at their disposal and your shields continue to grow in strength. You victory is inevitable despite the aggressive actions of the Brilliance security fighters.

While this combat could be run out to to a full length, the actions from Cournae and Hido maintaining the shields have, and will continue to, stop the threat of the enemy attack causing any damage to your systems. It is even more true now that there is only one attacker. I'm calling the fight as a clear victory in your favor.

After some more time fighting, you are able to disable the second security fighter leaving little else that might hamper your escape. Brilliance offers no additional protest either by comm nor additional fighters as you plot your return course.

A few weeks after your mission, you all receive a message on your systems. From the contents it is clear Envar has tracked you down and given you all an invitation to his 24th birthday party!

Within is a picture of a pleasure yacht in orbit around Verces.

At the head of the message, the text reads, "You are invited to the celebration of Envar Tamm's 24th Birthday Party. An all-inclusive trip to a pleasure yacht in high orbit over Verces."

Among details on the date, food, and RSVP information is a personal note from Envar. "Join me for an encore performance of our glorious victory!"

The event is still sometime away for you to prepare or ensure your position elsewhere in the galaxy, but you all know that you have gained, for better or worse, the attention of Envar Tamm.
