Roderick was aiming for the guy behind the one that swung at him so he would not splash himself.
So if I understand splash rules correctly, the center man hit directly takes 7 damage and 6 or 3 to the splashed target (the puncher).
| GMG |
That was also how I interpreted your bomb attack. The puncher took 6 because he failed his save and that dropped him below 0.

Merida hits one of the thugs that started this brawl, he takes a step back and quickly drinks a potion to heal part of his wounds. Ryskovich takes another hit from the drunkard he has been hitting in the crotch, apparently he did not like the halfling's attention... 2 damage

quick post, do not expect anything tomorrow as I am running a table at legacy of the stonelords
Pandora expertly shoots the last brawler! Four sleeping Ulfen men are lying on the floor and the scared 'Hjort' is crouched next to the bar.
Pandora Soulkeeper
|
Oh Legacy! We are going to play it in a couple of weeks, first simultaneous scenario ever here in Spain, we are all very excited! :D
Hope it goes good for you, I've heard it's a tough one.
Once the danger is neutralized, Pandora approaches Hjort and takes him from the neck of his shirt, "Stand up, flamehaired! Whom were them? Why have they attacked us?"
I hate giving orders to other players, but as the situation is pressed and everybody seems quite, I will do in order to speed up and try to make us organized
Seeing all his fellow companions frozen by the shock, Pandora looks around and starts making demands helped by the soft tone of her voice, "We need to secure this area and fly away before reinforcements arrive! Fallinar, can you go check the door next to the counter? Quinray, Merida, we sure want to register those corpses and get whatever can be useful to solve this mystery, specially from those first two Ulfen that started the brawl, and we need to do it before they wake up. Ryskovich, you may go check what can we found on the doors at the northern part of the tavern. Roderick, make sure the front entrance is clear for our escape and let us know if anyone is coming! Camon guys, we don't have a lot of time until the f%*$ing full Ulfen families of these bastards come here to lay us down!"
Roderick Xim
|
Roderick was about to tie up one of the sleeping thugs, but being a new agent, heeds Pandora, and rushes to the door to make sure reinforcements are not coming. Bomb and spear at the ready, he looks out...
"All clear so far, Pandora. Not sure how long that will last. If we are leaving, we may want to get this guy and leave sooner than later."
| GMG |
From behind the bar the bartender rises "Don't worry gal, we are used to this and as long as my tavern survives nobody gives a hoot. Those people should have known the risk of getting in here. I would appreciate it though if you left my living quarters and kitchen at ease, nothing to find there"
He shrughs "although it might be better to be gone before those sleeping beauties wake up"
Hjort shudders as Pandora turns to him I was hired to sit here because Hjort and I look alike! I am Sven. I overheard that Hjort plans to dress a team of thugs and that darkheared woman as Pathfinders and assault Trollheim’s armory! He seems to hope that the assault will trigger a mass purge of the Pathfinder’s Society from the Land of the Linnorm Kings, with every Society agent in the country hunted down and slain. They said they would do that this evening!
Sven looks at the two thugs that attacked you first "Those two where sent here with me to take care of you and they had orders to kill me if I made any errors! I was so scared!!! Please don't kill me! I want to go back to my wife and children!"
It was a great day yesterday, I put in a lot of time prepping and that was really necessary as it is a large scenario!
We had approximately 40 players at 8 tables and I heard only positive feedback.
I hope the organisation team in Spain have scheduled enough time for it: we started at 10:30 and where ready at 17:30 with a half hour break. I am sure you will have fun playing!

SO SO SORRY for being afk for so long. This holiday has been absolute hell. I would've posted and let everybody know, but part of the reason it was hell is that I was stuck in Nowheresville, AL...total vacuum. But I'm back...
Merida, living up to her epitaph, quenches her rage and pats "Sven" on the shoulder saying, "Not to worry, might-not-be-Hjort; as soon as we get this matter cleared up, you'll be back with your wife and children...if you're telling the truth of course. You'll understand if we don't just take your word for it what with all the hatred and deception going around, won't you?"
Keeping an eye on him, Merida listens to Pandora and searches the fallen warriors for goods.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Pandora Soulkeeper

Looking with horror at Sven, Pandora exclaims "Oh my! That's an horror! Please, lead us where those thugs are gathering and we will set you free."
And to the bartender "Don't worry, we don't plan to settle here. What do you know about that Hjort and Runa White? I am sorry for any disturbance."
Once questions are answered and the bodies registered, Pandora takes Sven to the entrance, and prepares to run out with him at Roderick's sign.
| GMG |
The dead and sleeping men carry nothing worth noting
A few handaxes, coppers and that is about it
The bartender barks a laugh "Oh no, I do not know them and do not wish to get to know them if they are really about to invade the armory. Don't worry about the 'disturbance', we see our share of rough brawls and quite often it is the last brawl for some."
- - -
Sven leads you straight south across the market to a blank, wooden structure straddling the line between the market and a secured residential district. All seems quiet, though a small group of guards are speaking to one another quietly.
Behind the group of guards, the front door to the armory is made of a heavy, thick wood and is bound by iron. At several points across the door, visible cracks and splintered wood can be seen. The battered door stands slightly ajar, opening inward to darkness.
Sven asks Pandora silently "there it is, can I go now?"
Pandora Soulkeeper

"Wait a moment Sven. Do you know how many are them?" Pandora observes the ins and outs of the house for some minutes trying to get more information from a hidden place.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Once back, the woman talks with his partners to set a plan. "I guess trying to disguise ourselves will fail miserably again, thus we might have better luck going through the guards unnoticed. I might try to fascinate them while you get a look inside from the house multiple holes, do you have other resources we can try to use here?"
| GMG |
Sven thinks for a second "I guess there were four of five of them, including Hjort and that woman"
Pandora notices that these guards are better equipped than the guards she saw earlier on the streets. They also wear distinctive armor in black with a red wineglass symbol over their heart and on their shields. One of them looks up as Pandora is looking on and shouts at her.
"You there, get over here with your hands raised above your head!"

"I said, get over here with your arms above your head! At any other action we will take you down!"
He is now 30 feet away, the rest are at 35 feet

Merida chuckles at the idea of her sneaking anywhere. She instead waits back where Sven is, falchion ready, prepared to back up her comrades if need be.
Readied action: move and attack if any attack roll is made on comrades. Charge if possible.
Roderick Xim
|
Roderick is not about to start a fight with the city guards and drops his spear and puts his hands up (not that he can do much with a spear anyway).
He looks sideways at his companions...
They are not seriously thinking about attacking the city guards, are they?
Pandora Soulkeeper
|
Placing her hands over her head, Pandora gets out of her hiding place "Sorry, there has probably been a mistake. I might have been fooled by a thug. Is this Darkwine's garrison? Some tavern thug is speaking scheme tales about you."
Diplomacy (to make them indiferent): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Pandora also tries to get all the attention trying to cause a diversion for the others to go check the house.

When Pandora comes closer the guard relaxes and stows his axe again.
"Good that you came out. You can lower your arms, I am afraid we are all a bit on edge here as someone has broken into the armory and is probably still inside. While we are waiting for reinforcements: who are you and what are you doing here?"
Pandora Soulkeeper
|
Feeling backed up by his comrades Pandora relaxes too "So this is the armory? A guy in the tavern told us here was people gathering to make an attack into Throllheim and we decided to come and sort out what was going on. Do you know anything about it? Whom is inside, what is going on here?"
Roderick Xim
|
Roderick moves up near Pandora as well and addresses the captain.
"I am Roderick. We are travelers and have already been attacked twice in the open since arriving in this land. Are you in need of assistance?
What do the intruders have to gain within said armory...besides the obvious weapons? Is the whole place overrun with rebellion?"
| GMG |
"We arrived just moments ago, we where alerted that the door had been breached. We have no idea what the intruders are after."
The guard thinks for a moment and then continuous "Say, you look like you are capable people. Would you maybe be so kind to investigate what is happening inside? We will make it worth it for you."
Pandora Soulkeeper
|
"Sure, I will go look for my companions." Pandora retreats to the street and takes Sven from the neck.
"What was that? Are you trying to fool us?" Pandora seems quite angry at him but does not try to hit him.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Then looking to the rest of the group "If you feel like doing it, we might help the Throlheim guard and arrive to the end of this plot." If the party is ok with it, Pandora will go into the house, looking first for other entrances different than the main one, perhaps a rear window?
Merida the Compassionate
|
Merida drags Sven along with them as they enter the armory. "You still might be a bad guy, Sven, so you'll be coming with us until we know for sure."
After entering the door, she tosses the Ulfen man to one side and shoots him a look, with a hand held up as if commanding a dog to stay. Simultaneously, she keeps her eyes peeled for the intruders.

"Seems like we could use some friends around here. So far they have been hard to find. I vote we lend them a hand with these criminals."
Roderick picks his spear back up and moves to where he can take a better look at the armory.
| GMG |
Sven sputters as Pandora and Merida come down on him "But, but I said that Hjort and his crew wanted to assault the armory! And here we are and the armory's doors have been breached! What do you want from me? I just want to go home..."
Pandora walks around the armory and notices that there are no windows or other doors on the ground floor.
Ignore the map in that respect, specifically called out in scenario that there are no other entrances on the ground floor. Which does make sense in an armory.
The team moves into the very dark armory. Pandora casts a dancing lights spell and you look around. There are stairs going up next to the entrance and two rooms to the left and right of the hallway which are also dark.
