With the strength bump from this mythic tier Skaar otherwise qualifies. Can I 'store' my level 3 feat so I can pick it up as soon as the largening occurs?


That's a negative, as it'll doubtless take Skaar a little time to get re-acclimated to his new size. Depending on how you play things, though, you'll be able to pick it up as early as Level 4-5 depending on bonus feats.

Not a fan of the Unchained classes (except for the Rogue), but I'll allow them for this game. Everything else looks fine. Interesting choice of a Mythic Power, by the way. :-) And don't forget about Amazing Initiative. It's a real game-changer. The only thing to remember is that you won't be able to fly just yet - especially once you're Large. The telekinesis abilities have a size/weight limit.

After thinking on it for a while, I think I'm going to put off imprinting hand in favor of legendary item. Then I spent a bunch of time thinking what Skaar's legendary item would be (since he doesn't own a whole lot). What do you think of that key becoming his legendary item? Maybe looped through a chain and worn as an amulet?


Nah, Unchained is fine for this game. I don't think the Core Barbarian needed a buff, but this campaign is so over-the-top, that it fits right in. :-) If you want any other Unchained stuff in the future, run it by me first. I'm not a fan of most of the subsystems.

As for the key becoming a Legendary Item? I think that's a really awesome idea. What kind of abilities are you looking for? How many times do you plan on taking that Path Ability? Do you want it to become intelligent? There are a lot of things we can do with this, so throw me some ideas. :-)

I'm only looking to take it once for now but maybe a second time at tier five.

I'm thinking the key 'unlocks' the barriers between space and time, fitting with the power already described. Teleport, plane shift, dimension door and the like. Maybe time stop later on. =P

An intelligent item might be cool. Maybe something learned to act as Skaar's guide on current events.


We can definitely work with that. :-)


Remember that mandatory death scene I mentioned at the beginning of the campaign? Your wish may have just eliminated the need for it. We'll see how this plays out....

How much input do you want to have in your Legendary Item's design? I know you talked about taking that Path Ability, but I don't see it on your sheet yet. I have several ideas about what sort of things to give it (mainly some SLAs) but want to know what you were thinking of. I don't want to decide something that doesn't match your desires. :-)

Was Skaar able to unlock more of the key's powers or is that something that'll happen later?


Artifacts like this one won't give their full power to just anybody. Until you do something to exemplify a matching ideal, it'll remain as-is. However, as soon as you embody the concept of Freedom and Breaking of Bonds, etc., it'll unlock. :-)

I was going to try TKing his weapon away but the Spheres of power version of TK disarm is actually worse than the normal version. There's a will save and a CMB check at -5.


For the record, I'm a big fan of Dungeon World. ;-)

I'm actually not sure familiar with it.


It's a different RPG system entirely. Very freeform. Uses 2d6+stat mod to resolve everything. I've started using it for particularly interesting character decisions in my games. Not to worry: it has no effect on gameplay. I'm basically rolling percentile dice to figure out what's going to happen. :-)


Out of curiosity, have you seen Reaper's BONES 3 Kickstarter? Nine days left, 1.2M pledged, and they're close to unlocking half of the ACG iconics. :-)

I'm actually not a big fan of most of the Pathfinders iconics.

But I do love me some minis. =P


The ACG iconics didn't really do anything for me, but it's always nice to have the sculpts - especially when you're using PFS pregens. :-) There's the Brawler, Warpriest, Investigator, Ninja, and Brother of the Seal PrC.

Here's the LINK to the Kickstarter, by the way. If you haven't used them before, Bones are highly detailed and very easy to paint. :-)

Game-wise, I'm pretty sure you have at least one Mythic Point left, correct?

Check the "Divine" sphere. That's where they put comprehend languages. Regarding the geas, Scrivenbough is run by a cult to Abraxas - Demon Lord of Forbidden Lore. They take secrecy particularly seriously here, as certain information (like what you're currently trying to read) is world-shattering.
