I wasn't planning on jumping in to another recruitment thread just yet, but I have to say, your talk of Sparhawk and company caught my eye. Yay for David Eddings. Sure, he basically just wrote the same series like five times, but dangit, it was a good series.
I have pretty much nothing to do with FaWTL, but I'm a regular poster, for whatever that's worth. Understandable if you'd care to pass me over for that reason.
Anyway, here's my submission, originally submitted for a different game (thus some of the weird things in the profile, like the Tropes). He's...a little oddball, just to warn you. For my campaign trait, I have currently taken up Child of the Crusade, although in Tip's case, any 'relatives' he might meet are adopted brothers and sisters from the orphanage or church, not actual blood. He could also easily be seen as Exposed to Awfulness (although Guardian would be a little weird for the concept), or with a minor addition, could do Stolen Fury. Honestly, he'd prefer to be a Champion than a Marshall, but Child of the Crusade made the most sense to me right off the bat.
For your purposes, I think I'd take a look at the "What do you offer the Crusade" spoiler in the profile. It gives you a pretty clear picture of Tip's personality - for a parallel from the Elenium/Tamuli, I'd say something like Kalten.

I won't be able to look much over until tonight after work.
I did get a chance to look over the adventure last night, and while more information from later installments is necessary to understand the full extent of things, it does appear there will be...significant...repercussions to making big changes to campaign traits. And I can't judge the full extent until I have my hands on later adventures.
Just as an FYI.

I have an interesting character concept. Screw the old 'sword and board' tank paladin. He does about 0 damage if they're not evil and is so unkillable he's ignored anyways. I propose Roran Strax, a man thrust into the care of savage orcs when he was little and raised as a barbarian. Growing up in such a world made him strong, however being a human in a world of orcs, half orcs, and ogres left him as a very good talker compared to his peers, and he is ruggedly handsome. As a noblewoman and her paladin bodyguard were traveling through their woods, Roran sprung them in an attempt to rob them. However, he found his vicious attack style couldn't do a thing to the stalwart paladin, who calmly fended off his worst blows and left continuous bruisers in return. Finally Roran gave up, and the paladin pitied him and his situation. Once Roran realized he was an oddity and didn't belong in the wilderness, he went with the two and was taught of the world, where he was accepted into the church as an initiate. After many long years, he emerged as a proud, if rugged, paladin. Roran has a simple approach to the world, a deep throated laugh, and an easy smile that makes others want to forget their worries, sit down with a beer, and tell stories through the night. Even though most other holy warriors offer a stalwart defense of those who need protection, Roran carries an enormous greatsword with the idea that "evil can't hurt you if I killed it first"
Hardly have a crunch up yet, just the character concept, but it will be a Paladin that fights like a barbarian. High strength, crit and power attack focused, not doing quite as much damage as a savage barbarian but being quite a bit harder to kill than them.

Should have better crunch up under an alias by late tomorrow

I'm Linark Abbadon, and apparently they sent me here cause I was "not indicated to any subtle mission".
Submiting my character for apreciation, it's background needs little adaptation regarding places, but the Exposed to Awfulness trait fits perfectly, even tough i'm not the "Guardian" type. Will adjust equipment depending on gold rolled.
Gold: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5, 1, 3) = 20x10=200GP - nice.

Working along on my bard here...
Question, to anyone out there: I am considering playing a 'small' Aasimar. Thoughts? It is merely cosmetic, though I would have to go with small weapons and the like. It is just a concept that seems, interesting. I guess what I am looking for, is the 'small' too much of a hindrance to the overall concept (An Assimar Bard)?
Wealth Roll 3d6 x10 = 70gp
Just read over child of angels for another player's question, and noticed the non-human aasimar entry - and you're right, the size adjustments are there, but there are no others.

Jess, may I ask what your expectations regarding post length and post frequency are, if you have any?
This will be my first time running a PBP, so I'm not quite sure, yet. I'm going to try to keep things moving at a decent pace, however. I'd like to expect at least 2-3 visits a week to keep things from gumming up too much.

Thank you! I wish you lots of luck! I'm running a Reign of Winter PbP right now and it's my first time doing so. I'm sure you'll do fine!
I'm honestly not a part of the FAWTL thread but, with your permission, I'd love to submit a character for your consideration.

Well, another WOTR campaign didn't pick my character, so I'll try this one, no offense I hope. This is a character specifically designed for WoTR, but he doesn't use a campaign trait because none of them really fit. I really want to play him but don't want to have to try to adapt him to a different campaign.
History is in the character profile.
Sarge is an experienced soldier, and like many he's pretty cynical and focused on survival of himself and the other soldiers he serves with. He's Neutral, leaning towards good, because while he certainly wants the Worldwound to end and the demons to be defeated, and is willing to fight for it, and even maybe to die for it, his main motivation in doing so is to make sure no other soldiers have to die fighting the demons.
He will not abandon the party even if it looks like he might die, because his sense of honor and duty is to his mates above all else.

It looks like we have more than enough candidates for the game, and people will have to be turned away as is.
I'll go ahead and declare recruiting closed, at this point, to anyone who hasn't already posted to this thread.
I'll try to have a decision tonight. I really really want to start running this puppy!

Sad, I began my submission last night but it is not yet ready.
No worries, I will shelve it for some other time. Best of luck!

All right, guys, sorry to keep you waiting.
Celestial Healer, The Eldritch Mr. Shiny, Lamontius, Orthos, Scintillae, Treppa.
Celestial Healer has been working with me on a character, and I know Treppa's dealing with a move right now, so we'll hear from her as soon as we can.
Thank you so much for the interest, everyone!
