A trio of robed figures rides up to you on black stallions. Their cloaks are black with red embroidery around the edge. There is a light gold design work on one of the cloaks, he or she is more than likely the leader of there were one. The riders stop 45 feet from your group, evenly spaced apart with a patch of land between them. The "leader" steps forward a few feet, and in a light and airy voice, clearly female, speaks to all of you.
My, my. The research i conducted said nothing of other people being on the island. What bring you ragtag kids to such a hostile place such as the Azlant Isles, hmm?

Wulfgar you can see the woman has a light crossbow slung over her shoulder. When a breeze catches the cloak, you can see a dagger at her hip, but no other "heavier" weaponry. Each guard has a halberd at the ready. Heavy steel shield hang on their backs. A longsword is on their hip as well. They both wear scale mail. Their halberd a are not pointing at you, but rather pointed towards the sky.

Liam is acting as if he's intimidated and would easily be coerced.
Some of the words come out as if he's scared and would do anything not to fight.

enlarge is a full round action, begin casting and we head into initiative. Please confirm your spell. I will also get a map up as well, but that won't happen til the morning the way I envision the battlefield right now. My guys are 45 feet from you. Blathe/Wulfgar/Nils are all near one another and Liam is a "square or two" behind them?
Liam I presume someone would take the special stone. It could be removed so unless you would leave something valuable around for anyone to take ;)

yeah, confirm, after the droopy eye comment I think it would be what Wulfgar would do.
With the full round they either have to focus on him and give everyone else a shot at them or they let him enlarge.
Also Nils still has the crossbow he found right?
If they came up behind us wouldn't Liam be "a square or two" ahead of us?

Both Gwen and her bodyguards are slow to react. Nils and Wulfgar, seem poised and at the ready for all hell to break loose. Wulfgar, eyeball spinning getting ready to relish in the upcoming battle.

Nils, lets out a primal scream, his muscles bulge, veins in his arms start to pop with the increased blood flow. He races forward, disregarding any potential dangers, and takes a mighty swing with his longsword at the leader, Gwen. He easily connects, as she is still a little flabbergasted that someone opposes her will. The blade cuts deep, leaving a fairly deep gash in her leg.
Damnit, if you two don't get your asses in gear, these fools will be the least of your worries!, she screams to her men in hopes to get them motivated to do something.

The woman, curses in Chelish as she takes a good cut from Nils. She looks at him, gives him a smirk, You'll pay for your show of force.
She gets off her horse move action, no AOO, and point her finger just beyond Nils. From her finger, a pea sized red bead springs from her finger, and mere moments later Nils, Liam, and Blathe see a ball of flame and feel a heat so intense it could melt metal.

Nils, Blathe, and Liam please make a DC 17 reflex save or take 17 damage. save for 1/2 or 0 if having evasion
After seeing the explosion, she looks to her guards, Attack you fools, while they are tending their wounds
The two guards, riding horses move to flank Nils, and both reach out with their halbreds. The first one tries to hook Nils leg and bring him crashing to the ground, while the other just takes a hack at him.

Liam moves forward, and hurls a series on insults at the enemies. Both guards are shaken and catch on fire as flame envelops them in their self-doubt. Their self doubt doesn't last long, as Nils and Wulfgar press the attack. Nils cuts down the guard nearest him with one smooth motion.
Wulfgar, laughing maniacally all the way, enjoying the fight to come lumbers forward. His large weapon, swung through the air and decapitates the man from the waist up, as Wulfgar is nearly as tall as the man was when he was on the horse.
Balthe, moves forward, and easily grabs the caster by her cloak and puts her in a bearhug, the caster is in no way going to defend herself against a man trained so well in close combat.
She curses again in Chelish, trying to think of a way out of her current predicament. She tries to focus her mind and her innate magical power to harm the man grappling her. She manages to focus her mind, and tries to reach out and touch Balthe. She almost touches Balthe's arm, but the grip is too much and she catches air.
