I do not feel that Tofa fulfilled her Nature of Gallant; she hasn't done anything significant in the way of making the world a better place. While we defeated the Draugr, they will awaken once more (and if the priest is correct... will hunt us). She wound up trapped on a Jotun, and really only managed to help save the midwife.
As for bonds, I only ever settled on two.
Baelgrin knows a great deal about heroes, but does not see them when they arrive on his doorstep. One of us outsiders will have to show him, if he is to see.
and
Signy believes others hold her at arm's length, when in reality, she is the one who wards them away. I will try to show her that she isn't as dangerous to her allies as she believes.
I'm not sure if Baelgrin's is complete, though I'm pretty sure we can consider the Signy one a failure :p
Would anyone like to work on bonds that make sense?

Ah, I knew I was forgetting something - I forgot to do my bonds! I'll work some up in the next few days, for each of the PCs.
I think I filled my nature though; Father Bear: Protect others at personal risk to yourself. It is actually pretty easy to do when one's whole reason for being is consumed with keeping a loved one alive.
I just got off a bad day's work and now have to head to a neighborhood association meeting, so I don't think I'll get a gameplay post up tonight, unfortunately. I'll get back on the saddle tomorrow.
Tofa, without you and your undead buddy, the midwife would be crevasse food - there's only so much an owl can do in such a situation.

Tofa |

Ah, but is she World-shaping? That's my question. It depends on how people define things. I think Tofa would more consider it repaying a debt, and -next- time it's acting as a hero. :P

GM Mogthrasir |

Sorry, a little less craziness for a bit. So let's get this moving again :)
Here's some nature choices for ya, Iroval:
- Evangelist - Change someone's way of thinking, or willingly complicate the situation in pursuit of changing an individual.
- Missionary - Leave places with a greater sense of community than they had when you arrived.
- Crusader - Root out and destroy selfishness, oppression, or deceit.
I'm not sure if those fit in a manner similar to the previous natures I set up, or if they're more mission specific than regarding nature... So let me know if there's something in your mind that really jumps out as "this is what I think my character's really after!"
If the rest of you will let me know what xp you ended up getting out of that, I'll track it in my signature so we have that info in front of us!

Take this with a grain of salt, as I'm not the DM, but this is how I would run Discern Realities, specifically in regards to the in-character question:
The OOC thing is actually something you can just ask. 'Are there any domestic animals visible to me?' Discern realities isn't about seeing the big picture, like that. It's about interacting with something in particular. The thing you're poking and the like. Right now, your character is very likely focusing that discern on the moot below... and your way of interacting is very much 'visual' and maybe sound, depending. It's actually a really intuitive way to roll a lot of stuff in together, whether searching for traps, or eyeing up a ritual, or investigating a day old crime scene... even down to the verbage of 'how' you go about looking through it. :) Or at least that's how I interact with it. :)

Everything Tofa just said.
Being a PbP game, I very well could wax poetic and descriptive(theoretically, though it's not really in my skill set) to give you every detail. But I've burned myself out before trying to do so.
Instead, like at a gaming table, I'll try to throw enough out there for you to get a good feel for what's going on and try to highlight the things I assume may be interesting. But if this were real life, you could easily observe far more.
Just like Tofa said, anything you want to simply observe, just let me know and I'll give you better detail. There may even be things around I didn't mention, but could be important for you: "are there any rooftops nearby that might provide some good cover for me? Is there anyone wearing feathers?" I could tell you what the crowd's doing, you can likely listen to Luanith, or you can swoop around looking for domestic animals. Discern Realities comes in when trying to determine things that aren't readily available on observation, but require a greater interaction (like rifling through bookshelves for physical interaction, or focusing intently on someone's body language for mental interaction).
So in this case, I think if I were to judge your intention, the stuff you're curious about is all free stuff. You listen, you observe. You found a creative way to get there, so you get the info. But some of it may still come at a cost :)

Brynjolvar Ironeyes |

Thanks for the clarification, Tofa and GM Mogthrasir.
And yes, I'm interested in the moot, and I fully expect it to cost ;)

Posting in all my campaigns...I'm sick as a dog with the flu today and yesterday, which is why I didn't post anything. It's a really bad flu so I'm trying to rest and recuperate as much as I can but I will try to get everything up to speed this afternoon if possible. Thanks for being patient with me :(

I think adding 'I am trying to convert Brynjolvar to my faith' as a new bond may be appropriate after that sermon.
That's great. Bryn is pretty much not really happy with the gods right now, and he's not payed them much attention in the past, but he's desperate for solace and riddled with worry, so there's certainly room there for him to find some of that good ole fashioned religion.

I'll be traveling for work tomorrow and probably not able to post. Please bot me if needed.

A post to the games I'm involved in or running:
I'm afraid I no longer have time for play by post games, and won't be able to continue. This is a crappy thing to do, and I apologize for where it leaves people, but you still should be informed even if the information isn't fun. The short of it is that I've recently gotten a new job, which is fantastic for me, but not for my game time. I'm involved currently in training for my new job, while also training my replacement for the previous position, and looking forward to a position that much more hands on than administrative (unfortunately leaving much less time behind a computer).
May these characters I've abandoned in your worlds be used to whatever means you see fit, whether prosperous or disastrous. I greatly appreciate the opportunity you all gave me to play/run some games, and apologize for strings left unfinished.
I bequeath all of my possessions to whoever avenges my death, or calls dibs first...
And to the game I was running, it's like when a TV series gets cancelled mid season. It sucks. A lot. Assume wonderful, but dangerous things happen in your characters' futures.

Brynjolvar Ironeyes |

I was just planning to post and ask if everyone is OK.
Glad to hear you have a new job, GM Mog, and I've greatly enjoyed this game - you are one heck of a GM, and if in the future you are back around, I'll surely be applying to any recruitment threads.
Please make me inactive as well. I've enjoyed the contributions everyone has made to this game - some really great writing happened here!
