This time the arrows do more damage, and it's too much for the golem to withstand. With a mighty crash it falls to the floor. The once mighty golem reduced to torn scrap.
Whitestripe mauls the remains a bit, but there's little more to do.
The party collects themselves Healing as necessary and looks about, but in this room the golem was the only feature of note.

A wide staircase leads downward from this room to the south while a circular steel drum in the southeast churns ore and dumps it down a slide that also leads south. A quartet of gnoll guards oversees the work of a pair of ogrekin laborers.
A hallway to the west leads elsewhere. The guards see the door open, and quickly determine that you don't belong. They shout for an attack!

You guys take the opportunity to scan the room, but nothing interesting grabs your attention. Each of the gnolls has a VERY nice looking blunderbuss with some paper cartridges. Their armor is clearly masterwork, but nothing compared to what you have on.
