I was wondering if anyone had converted panserbjørne... uh... er... I mean Urskan's (from Frostburn) to Pathfinder yet. If not I would greatly appreciate it. I've been reading the Golden Compass (please don't get into a debate) and I'd really like to play a giant polar/grizzly bear with opposable thumbs in armor.

Urskan weren't ever statted up as a race; they're a CR 5 monster (with a Level Adjustment of +4). They match up to a Pathfinder CR 5 almost perfectly. Aside from skills for racial hit dice, it requires no further conversion to use one as a PC.
To play one in a Pathfinder game, the other PCs should be at least 5th level. Assuming this is the case, the urskan achieves 6th & 7th levels when the rest of the party does.
Half-way between 7th & 8th, the urskan gets an extra level (at this point he'd be a 3rd level urskan [insert class]). At 8th level, the urskan gets his "party level" as normal (making him a 4th level urskan [insert class]).
He continues to gain levels at the benchmarks the party does (rather than by experience) until the party is 14th level. He also continues to gain an extra level between the 2nd & 3rd level benchmarks (half-way between 10th & 11th, half-way between 13th & 14th). When the party finally reaches 14th level, the urskan will be 12th level, at which point he begins gains the experience of a 12th level character and begins gaining levels normally (via experience).

Huh... I could've sworn they were statted out as a player race with like a +6 or +8 str but maybe I was looking at something else because I just looked again and you're right. Thanks though, I'll have to see if I can play an Urskan Cleric of Densa, a teleporting bear wearing full-plate just seems scary and who needs a deities favored weapon when I've got a bunch of claws and that nifty charge ability :P I may actually have to just play a Halfling Summoner and make 1 as my Eidolon so I can ride it around.
