Samsun Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
During the night, unbeknownst to Abid who was on watch. The sand/clay around the camp begins to compact and forms 3 huge creatures.
They get a suprise round for being undetected
They quickly try to kill the Half-Dragon to stop him alerting the other sleeping adventurers
2 of them are going to attack Abid. While the other is about 20 ft behind the camp making a slow pace.

Initiatives now
Creatures: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11
You recognize these creatures to be sand golems. They're immune to all forms of spells other than fire and cold based spells. They are also known to become overpowered with battlelust over time. Causing them to fight friend and foe

Looks like we picked the wrong place to camp, I will roll initiative and react at the proper time
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Nature: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Nope

Abid Xarin |

sorry for slow reply folks, the clinic has been having Internet issues. DM, did you see my spoiler?
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
"Oww! Oof! Stop that you infernal creatures. Jietin! HELP!" Abid calls to the others as he takes a step back from the earth creatures.
5 foot step back from the creatures, draw my mace, total defense. +4AC, those things hurt!

Jietin |

This is assuming somebody wakes me up.
Jietin jumps up, grabbing his massive bastard sword and moving towards the threat with a scowl.
Move action to stand, move action to get 30 feet closer (adjacent is possible) to the nearest enemy and draw his bastard sword.
Init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

Upon hearing Abid's cries for help, Move action to get up and on Initiative 11 casts Haste on the party

Da GM |

Initiative Order
Unknown Creatures - 11
Abid - 11
Katya - 11
Jietin - 10
Erwarth - 8
One of the creatures sees the movements Katya makes, and senses an arcane ability. It charges her. While the slow mover behind the camp is nearing closer about 10 ft away now. Leaving one still pounding away at poor Abid
Slam: Abid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
The creature swings too wide and misses Abid
Slam: Katya: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
DMG: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 2) + 5 = 14
Since the creature and katya are going simultaneously, I think it appropriate that katya will have to cast defensively if you do not want to provoke an additional slam.

Concentration Check: 1d20 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 6 = 33 Yes
Must beat a DC21
@DA Gm Is there going to be maps?

Erwarth |

Erwarth jolts from his meditation from the combination of screaming, heavy thuds, and the rush of a Haste spell.
"At least its not me." Erwarth simply mutters as he stands up while drawing his blade, seeing the injured Katya and Abid facing off against the sand and clay things. Noticing one even further off growing ever closer, Erwarth simply points a finger in the general direction and utters one word.
"Elaorm."
From above the target, sticky strands shoot out at random in all directions and repeats from both the same point and the ends of those strands over and over. Quickly it fills a radius of twenty feet surrounding the creature with these strong and sticky strands.
With that, he settles into a stance and ready to fight just what ever these things are.
Move Action: Stand Up and draw Scimitar
Standard Action: Casts Web at the thing still approaching. DC Reflex 16 or Grappled.
Center aimed just in front of the creature slowly approaching. If it can catch another of these things in its area without catching an ally, all the better, but aiming to catch no allies in the Web.
Swift Action: Activates Spell Dance (5/7 Arcane Points, +20 Enhancement to Movement (+30 Enhancement from Haste, so ignored for now) and +4 AC vs Opportunity Attacks from moving through threatened squares.)
Huh, Sand and Clay creatures requiring Nature? I take it they aren't constructs or magical beasts then which are Knowledge(Arcana)?

Jietin |

Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 I actually trained a knowledge on my barbarian haha.
Ah, a golem. DM, golems fall under knowledge arcana. Source. I'll pretend like I didn't read the spoiler.

![]() |

No worries on the map, just wondering
Katya will back away from the strange creature and cast Create Pit(Ref 18)
Arcana: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Nevermind same check as Nature

Da GM |

Ref save for one approaching camp: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Ref save for one attacking Katya: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
The beast slow but sure evades Erwarth's webbing, however the same cannot be said for the other who falls in a 30 ft pit made by katya
Was that your Round 2 action, Kayta?
Fall DMG: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3) = 13
Round 1-Complete
Orgirdor : Leapt up and drew sword
Jieten: Ran towards the creatures
Katya : Caste Haste and was hit by one of them
Erwarth: Caste Web on the slowest Golem
Abid: Backed up and total defense
Round 2- Partial
Katya: Cast Create Pit
Im gonna say you backed up and made the pit before he could react because your dex bonus is a hell of a lot better than his
Erwarth:

Erwarth |

"Abid! Katya! These things are blasted Sand Golems. They'll ignore anything we throw at them if it isn't fire or ice if it can be resisted!" Erwarth warns to the others as he barely dodges the Golem that tries to flatten him.
Da GM, does the Golem get through the Difficult terrain, and the Combat Maneuver or Escape Artist vs 16 to move through the Webs as well without getting grappled in the next "square" of it as it enters?

Erwarth |

Erwarth moves over to assist Abid, and uses Hex Healing on him.
Cure Moderate Wounds: 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (1, 7) + 7 = 15
Erwarth's off-hand moves deftly forming the motions to conjure a Shield, even while his sword-hand strikes at the Golem.
Casts Shield defensively and attacks with the sword as a Full-round action via Spell Combat.
Defensive Casting (DC:19): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26
Attack Roll(18-20 Crit): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Damage Roll: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Da GM |

@Jietin: Yes, to my understanding you moved close enough to be adjacent to the one attacking Katya(Which was the nearest). However its down a hole, trying to climb up but to no effect. You could charge the one attacking Abid who is 10 ft away from you. The Golem who dodged the web, is at Erwarth's position and he is 15 ft from Jieten.
The Golem dodging Erwarth's webbing attempts to smash through the ichor laid in front of him.
CMB to get through webbing: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
The Golem bursts through the webbing as if it was paper, and collides with Erwarth who summons a shield and strikes at him. However the attacks seem to not break his protection

Orgirdor |

I'll move to flank the one attacking Abid, I don't know how distant is from me, acrobatics to avoid AoO, if I can make it with my move action I'll attack
Acro: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Attack: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 2 = 19
DMG-flanked: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
SneakAttack: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 2) = 15
Orgirdor runs towards the creature attacking Abid, trying to avoid his attacks...

Erwarth |

Looking over the situation, and seeing Abid being the worst off Erwarth decides to give fair warning in Draconic.
"Abid! These things can go a little crazy in a fight, so I'm going to see if I can get them to start punching each other! Just hold out as I plan on bringing this one over there!"

Abid Xarin |

"I don't like the sound of that plan!" Abid calls back to Erwarth. Seeing the others come to his defense Abid retreats from the giant sand golems.
Another 5 foot step back. Casting CLW defensively, if I make a concentration roll DC 17 the spell goes off without triggering AoOs
defensive casting: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 healing: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Okay...back up to 14 HP :P I have plenty of healing left, just not stuff that's great for in combat. Hopefully I can stay on my feet until the raging dragon over there beats these golem'to pieces.

Round 3 Action
Katya casts Create pit(Ref 18) on the golem attacking Abid and moves another 5' away from the one she has previously sunk

Erwarth |

Round 3 Action - Time to draw some attention
"Too bad!" The spell dancer shouts back as he begins to move.
Erwarth spins in place as his sword arcs out twice at the golem, even as he makes well practiced motions and uttering three arcane words.
Once the second swing and the spell is completed, Erwarth bolts kicking up a bit of dust due to arcane speed and grace that kicks up some dust onto the golem as he ends up skidding to a stop between Abid and the golem that has been attacking him.
Spell Choice - Selected Boost Accelerate (Extra Move Action each round)
Then Erwarth proceeds to move (up to 60 feet), using the extra Move Action from his spell, leaving the golem he has been annoying. This movement should hopefully leave me between Abid and his Golem, while tempting the golem trying to crush me into chasing me.
If the position can be setup that the Golem may accidentally charge into the other golem, all the better.
Further, if 60 feet was too short, Erwarth uses a Swift Action for Flight from his Spell Dance and can fly up to a distance of 90 feet to get to the spot.
For the Attacks of Opportunities I'll draw from both golems, they'll be hitting a fast and slippery target. 29 AC after spell dance, haste, and shield.
Seeing that Abid is safe for now, Erwarth decides to forgo his quick gamble and just lay into the golem by himself. The blade frosts over from the arcane gestures, and proceeds to arc out thrice in the attempt to carve the golem.
Spell Choice - Frigid Touch
Attack 3: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Dmg: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Spell Frigid Touch (Applied during the first attack that lands on the golem.)
Frigid Touch Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 1) = 10 Cold Damage and the target is staggered for 1 round.
Rolls should both be the same for either way.
Spell Combat - Cast Spell and attack twice.
Defensive Casting(DC:19): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 30
Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Dmg: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Attack 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Dmg: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
(Forgot to add the +1 from Haste to the attack rolls, so 16 and 22.)
Sorry about the action dependent setup again. Just no clue if the Golem will roll high and escape the attempt or not.

Da GM |

Round 3
Initiative 11 Actions - Abid, Katya, Golems
The Golem attacking Abid suddenly feels the earth beneath him start to move and sink
Ref Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
The beast in the pit made by Katya earlier attempts to climb out as well as the one who fell inside the pit
Fall DMG for Golem who just fell: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5) = 15
As the Golem hits the bottom of the pit it crumbles into pieces
Climb(Golem who has been sitting in the pit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Btw Katya that pit will also effect Abid, because he is literally right in front of it. So he will have to give me a Ref save DC 18 as well or fall. But because he is a friendly, he can grab a +2 bonus to the check
Initiative 10 Actions - Jieten
Swings at the Golem coming up the rear of the camp and slashes it down in a mighty swing
Initiative 8 Actions - Erwarth
Um..kinda confused here. Katya threw the thing in the pit before you acted so I can't see you reaching down 30 ft in a hole to do a touch attack on the thing..
Initiative 6 Actions - Orgirdor
Golems Remaining: 1

Round 3

Golems Remaining: 1
Oops my bad! I was trying to get the golem without getting Abid

Erwarth |

When I noticed Katya using the Create Pit, I was just going to attack the golem by me instead of my original plan of moving towards Abid.
Oh ... Jieten already killed that one ... new actions then ...

Erwarth |

Erwarth seeing that nothing really appears to be endangering anyone at the moment, walks over towards Abid and uses his Healing Hex on him while scanning the horizon for any more enemies.
"You alright there Abid? That golem looked to be crushing on you kinda hard."
Healing Hex: 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (1, 2) + 7 = 10
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Round 4
Initiative 11- Golem, Abid, Katya
The Golem struggles to lift himself out the the deep pit, the coarse sides proving to be more than a challenge
Climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
The Golem falls again back down, his pride very much injured
Initiative 10 - Jietin
Initiative 8- Erwarth
Initiative 6 - Orgirdor
Golems Remaining: 1

Orgirdor |

I was moving towards the one attacking Abid
Orgirdor goes near the pit to see Jietin smash the golem,
If I can reach it, I'll attack it
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
My dmg stinks :(

![]() |

Round 4 Action
Katya saunters over to Jietin and Orgirdor staring angrily at the construct.
She then casts this on Jietin.
Zay hello to my little friend
Katya is is fuming over the fact that anything would dare attack her

Erwarth |

"You know, that is kind of sad to watch." Erwarth mentions as he watches the construct struggle in the pit, pondering if he should pull out his bow but decides the others will destroy the thing easily enough.
With a gesture, four motes of light are brought into existence around and inside the pit to make the scene even easier to watch.
Dancing Lights, just to make the show easier to watch.

Da GM |

ABID
Abid seeing the creature come into full view, releases a blast of energy in lethal proportions
Unholy Blight
DMG: 3d8 ⇒ (4, 7, 4) = 15
Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
--------END OF COMBAT---
The creature falls and collaspes into dust leaving only the traumatized adventurers and 2 pits in the ground that slowly begin to fill

Erwarth |

"Well, that was interesting. Remind me next time to ask the locals just what lurks in the area, rather then just stumbling across the wildlife and hazards," grumbles the cranky elf. "I'm heading back to my meditations, rouse me when its my turn for watch and I'll prepare some spells more useful against those types of creatures in the morning."

![]() |

Ok Zen, back to bed...By ze way, thankz for ze elp Samsun Katya says in a voice dripping with contempt
[ooc]If Abid has healing after he is finished with himself it would be greatly appreciated. If not I will finish healing everyone up with my wand[/b]

Da GM |

Abid waves his hand and cast Cure Light Wounds on himself
HEAL: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Anyone else need healing?

Jietin |

Jietin walks the perimeter in the morning, relieving himself and scanning the area. He returns, taking out of his backpack what appears to be a three foot diameter bone plate that he scrapes some breakfast on and begins eating. "Wonder why those creatures were here." He mumbles between mouthfuls.

![]() |

Katya awakens and prestigitates herself clean, She will join Jietin and the others for breakfast.
