Once again M07K prepares to face off against a robotic threat only for them all to stop moving. He looks over in time to see Kinna doing something with a glass screen with words written across it. He could read the words but couldn't parse their meaning. Looking at the screen, another jumble of memories assaults him. These didn't fly by so fast and he could finally make out some scenes. One of himself hitting a practice dummy. In it he got in close to an enemy and used his elbow for a fast and effective finishing move to the head. That could be useful. He also saw himself responding to an unseen threat via some strange words and blinking lights in his vision. As the memories receded, the words stayed in his sight. He blinked and looked around. They stayed in place.
"Interesting," he says as he follows the others. He couldn't yet tell if this was useful yet but anything that brought him closer to his past was welcome.
Part of my level up was a new stance. All stances can be maintained forever and work outside of combat. This one gives scent and +10ft movement speed.

Kinna freezes for a few seconds, going from staring at the screens and manipulating the floating keyboards to being entirely motionless and staring straight ahead. After a moment she shudders and starts moving again, backing away from the table.
"Something contacted me mentally and tried to take over my mind." She shook her head. "But then it disappeared." Kinna gestured at the table. "I think I will leave this one alone."
The android looks down at the cobbled-together hand statue. "Should we go investigate that?"

M07K |

M07K similarly freezes at the exact same moment Kinna does. But as she backs away, he takes a more aggressive approach. He stomps forward, shielding his eyes from the floating image in case that was the vector of attack. Once beside the device he puts his whole body into a swing to drive his shield spike into the glass surface of the machine.
Damage: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 4, 4) + 3 = 16
Switch back to Pugilist Stance and use Pommel Bash for extra 1d6. He'll keep going until destroyed and certainly welcome any aid.

Seeing Monk going for a piece of technology, Kurgu fiercely grins and charges in, hammer first!

I hadn't been adding +50% damage for two-handed weapon. Doh.

Pieces of scrap are tied to his body to give him a more machine appearance and he clearly painted over his skin.
"You dare defile this altar! The avatar of Hellion will destroy you!" he says.

Kinna punches commands into her gauntlet and aims her hand at the "demon". Soothing ultrasonic waves flow from her palm at the monster as she tries to put it to sleep.

It was a good thing M07K already had his shield as the creature might have buried it's claws in his side if it wasn't already swinging there limply. Of things he expected, a poorly disguised gargoyle was not one of them. Thankfully it's attack was also poorly aimed. M07K reacts instinctively and spins with the blow turning the momentum into a hard elbow smash. He then points at the Gargoyle and shouts "I DARE!"

One claw came from the left and was blocked by a shield. The other came from the right and was blocked by an outstretched hand. The teeth came from the front. M07K did not see that coming. They bite into his shoulder, inches from his jugular. A very close call. The android kicks the monster away, losing a chunk of flesh in the process. M07K surges forward, not letting it get any space. He dodges under another swipe and aims a body blow at where he assumed the kidneys would be.

Seeing her claws damage is exceeded by damage redunction, I not going to roll the attacks. Just going to role play attacking to maintain flanking.
She notices her claw that struck the gargoyle not even leaving a scratch, she realizes her attacks are no good, and decides to just continue to slash with her claws to keep the gargoyle in flanked with party members.

"Strike Now!" M07K said now that the beast's attention was on him. He himself focused on defense instead. He'd noticed strange symbols in his periphery that faded when he did certain things. If he took a moment to analyze the situation he saw them slowly come back.

"Hellion was the name of the creature that tried to take over my mind a few minutes ago. It also said we would serve it." Kinna gestures at the fake demon's body. "I would guess he was not as mentally prepared to fight Hellion off as I was."

M07K takes a few deep breaths to let the battle tension drain away. "I heard the same," M07K says to Kinna. "Though Hellion said it lacked the power to do so, not the capacity. I fear if it gains more power...a greater connection, we will all be in danger. We have to stop it. Quickly." He looks around the for an exit, ignoring the pile of refuse and dead...thing.

The pile of junk strapped to the body of the gargoyle is mostly composed of useless but interesting-looking scraps scavenged from the ship, but a search of the materials reveals several useful items including 48 silverdisks, a pair of timeworn veemod goggles fitted with a black veemod, a timeworn medlance, two rolls of ion tape, a zipstick, and a timeworn black hologram projector (see page 61).

A veemod (“vision enhancement module”) is a narrow crystalline strip that slots into a set of veemod goggles to enhance the goggles’ use. Inserting a veemod into a pair of goggles is a standard action that provokes attacks of opportunity. Veemods are color-coded items, and provide the following benefits.
Black Veemod: A black veemod enhances vision, and by blinking twice rapidly, the wearer can magnify what she’s seeing. Blinking twice again restores normal vision. This grants a +2 competence bonus on all Perception checks.
