Hi, gamers! I'm running an older Paizo module, Entombed with the Pharaohs, and one of our intrepid groups of adventurers has lost their alchemist.
The original recruitment thread, with more campaign details and requirements for character creation, can be read here.
Cliff's Notes is this is an Osirion-themed tomb-robbing, with lots of curses, mummies, and dying.
You would be adventuring with a party consisting of:
1 Paladin of Pharasma/smiter of all your undead, yo
1 Living Monolith warrior of Osirion/health nut
1 Indiana-Jones-if-Indy-was-an-Aasimar arch. bard
Please read the original recruitment thread, and, if you'd like to see the game so far, it is here. (Note that the original recruitment thread links to a different table of the same game, and if you're wanting to play in this one, you should NOT read that gameplay thread, since the groups are taking different approaches and some spoiling may happen.)
Obvious roles that could use filling are arcane-blaster or divine-caster, but I do not judge applications based so much on 'party balance' as I do 'this person seems fun to RP with and likely to make for an amusing or interesting story'.
Thanks for your interest, post your applications here!

Whack-a-Rogue |

Sounds like my Wizard's just the person you need. :-) A necromancer who focuses entirely on party support, doesn't own a weapon, and doesn't care that much about onyx gems (though he does carry a few just in case). He's also PFS-legal, so I just need to level him to 6. I'll post the info this afternoon.

Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 6) = 17
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 5, 3) = 12
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 5) = 19
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 5) = 15
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 6) = 19
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 1) = 10
I believe that's one of the luckiest stat rolls I've ever gotten in my life... XD
Anyways, submitting this character for consideration. Fluff incoming.
Edit: Background supplied in alias.
Oh also I didn't see anything about it having to be PFS legal only that their backstory supplied for it. I did TRY to keep things PFS legal but i'll admit I tend to play for fun rather than to fit within certain bounds lol

Whack-a-Rogue here with my submission. Aside from a little bit of mundane gear, he's essentially finished. Although the whole "NE Necromancer" thing can be offputting, he's a 100% support caster who uses an unseen servant to distribute useful items to party members. Plus, since there's a Paladin of Pharasma in the party, there's lots of potential for fun roleplay. :-)
Craft check: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28 x25 = 700gp

Born to a very traditional family of priests Renarc's path was set for him at an early age, The suprise came when he the voice whispering in his soul was Kurgess and not on of the Dwarven Gods like his family expected.
Not quite disowned he left the city of Highheilm and made his way to Absalom where he enrolled in the Pathfinder Academy. After several years he graduated and proceed to carve out carrer in the Soceity primarily in and around Abasolm. [occ] Pathfinder Soceity scenerios In service to Lore, To Delve the Dungeon Deep, A Vision of Betryal, Black Waters, Silent Tide, Mists of Mwangi, Voice in the Void, The Sewer Dragons of Absalom, The Slave Pits of Absalom, The Song of The Sea Witch, The Disappeared, The Penumbral Accords, Echoes of the Overwatched, The Blakros Matrimony, The Hellknight's Feast [/occ] A handfull of his missions have been to places far from Absalom including the Worldwound, the capital of Taldor, and remorte parts of Andor. [occ]PSS The Wardstone Patrol, Among the Living, and Tide of Morning[/occ]
He's developed quite a dislike if not a hatred of The Blakros Musem in Absalom, Demons, Undead and the Fey. He's actually on pretty good terms with several of the Blakros daughters. Despite never setting foot in Cheliax due to his interactions with the embassy in Absalom has several highly placed friends and enemies in that empire.
Renarc is quick with a joke, and a smile. He enjoys friendly games but won't play for money. If someone insists of wagers he'll pay in money but will be of front that he'll be demanding payment in the form of listening to him preach, or pastoral counciling with him. He stays away from strong drink but doens't consider ale, beer or similiar beverages strong. (He doesn't drink wine because he simply doesn't like the taste).
At 4'5 inches tall and 206lbs Renarc in one of the tallest and heavest dwarves in recent memory. Well muscled, yet not muscled bound he usally combines his morning prays to Kurgress with a workout which combines both cardio and strength training. His shoulder length brouwn hair he keeps in a braid for formal occasions and while on adventures. He also keeps his full beard neat and trim so that oppenent can't grab it in combat. His Ice cold blue eyes can be startling set in his darkly tanned skin.

no,

Haha wasn't actually attempting to make Gambit but you have a point. Also, I'm a Cajun myself so that's oddly fitting...perhaps he should wield a quarterstaff as his main melee weapon lol.

@Nolan: Can someone say... Staff Magus? ;-)
But then I wouldn't get my card throwing abilities! XD
Also just saw this:

Doesn't a paladin who's working with an evil character have to atone constantly or lose his paladin abilities? It's been a while since I've had an evil character and a paladin together so i could be wrong lol

![]() |

actually our Paladin of Pharasma is more of the True Neutral sort, I believe dien allows paladins as "champions of deity" rather than exclusively LG guys.
That's good to know. And I'm sure Pharasma wouldn't mind if I occasionally borrowed one of her souls for a short time. Not that often mind you, that's WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY more bookkeeping than I care to deal with. ;-)

Sleight of Hand 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19 for extra gold.
Here's my submission Poof the Fastestest a Goblin Knife Master Rogue with an attitude out to collect riches from Pharahoes. Since every Goblin needs a song here's Poof's:
Fastest fingers, biggest ears
ladies love when Poof is their's
First thing they get NAAAKED
Then Poof make them SWEAT SWEAT SWEAT
See FAT GOLD CHAIN around my neck
Think it suite you good instead?
Last thing you see cause soon you DEAD
No mess with Poof he FASTESTEST
Oh yeah and here's a the other stuff you wanted to learn about Poof. Although Poof is of the opinion that the eight lines above are all you need to know about him.
Poof is a greedy little bugger. His obsession with shiny drives most of his actions. It is the true motive behind why he joined the Sczarni cartel or the Pathfinders in the first place and is the reason for why he gets himself into danger constantly. Maybe it also has something to do with the thrill of it but that’s something Poof could never admit to.
Words to him are a means to acquire things and as such Poof does not value honesty very highly nor does he expect it of others. To his dislike he has noticed however that most people will not believe every lie you tell them, especially other Pathfinders seem reluctant to believe him so he no longer tries to take advantage of them at every point. After all having big strong friends is important for the survival of any Goblin. It is something he learned as a youngling on the streets of Korvosa.
He has noticed that humans and other long legs tend to have certain expectations of what it is to be expected from a Goblin. As a city Goblin he doesn’t really know what that means, but he does try to make the best of it. And has found he can get away with a rather rapacious behavior especially among the more civilized as they find it interesting and sometimes amusing.
Poof grew up in the streets of Korvosa and was orphaned at young age. The young Goblin managed to get by with pick pocketing and petty thievery on his own for a while until the powerful Szarni became aware of his skills and recruited him into their ranks. As a foot soldier of their criminal operation he was not only tasked with breaking and entering and pick pocketing but also more unsavory tasks such as the occasional assassination. Poof took no pride in this work, as all he ever wanted was to have all the nice and shiny things the longshanks had, but now that he had them people still eyed him wearily. Poof wanted to become legitimate, a real adventurer and so he pushed his lieutenants to make him an Agent in the Pathfinder Society where he could look after the interests of the Sczarni. While they were reluctant to let such a talented thief leave Poof repaid them well by acquiring a few nice items on the side on his first few missions. He has been with the society for the better part of three years now and has never looked back, secretly enjoying the thrill and adventure.
Poof is probably average size for a Goblin, not so average however are his ears, which are so long that they are no longer pointy but hand slightly on both sides of his big head. Among Goblins large ears are a sign of beauty and wisdom and so Poof wears them with great pride and would never cover them with a hat or similar rubbish.
However that does not stop him from wearing a number of expensive pieces of jewelry most notably and enormously thick gold chain around his neck which droops over the varisian Tatoo on his exposed green chest that indicates his association with the Szarni. He makes quite a habit of showing of these two items in particular and thus prefers light silken shirts which on which he leaves open at least 3 buttons. His sparkly chainshirt is cut specifically to allow a glance at the tattoo.

....Poof the goblin plaaaaaaaya. Wow. I've seen it all. :P
So, depending on some things, I may actually wind up taking two players. I'm going to leave recruitment open for at least another 24 hours, so those of you who want to do tweaks or finish applications, go ahead. I'm waiting on some feedback from my existing game players.

Nolan Gendar |

@dien: I got a quick question. For my character throwing cards is kinda his thing. However part of the deadly dealer feat is that the cards are destroyed on impact which makes paying for an enchanted deck of cards prohibitively expensive as there's no way to recover them.
At first I tried making them "returning" but that doesn't fix the whole "card is destroyed" bit so that plan won't work. No matter what happens I'm using the dang cards but I was curious if you'd allow enchanting on the deck box the cards are kept in instead of the cards themselves. Say the enchantment imbues whatever deck is inside of it for 24 hours or less with whatever enchantments are on it. That way I would only have to spend money on the one item instead of a new deck every mission.
One other idea I had was a pair of gloves with an enhancement on them that transferred to whatever thrown weapon I used. Considering a bow can pass it's enchantment bonus into arrows since it is the method of delivery I figured the gloves could work under that as well since they're the card's method of delivery.
Again, I love the flavor of the character too much so either way I'll be using the cards so that's not changing even if I have to have two decks, on magical one not, but I've been noticing that thrown weapons really didn't get as much love in pathfinder from 3.0 as I'd hoped :'( lol.

That is a complete list of the applications, with the addition of one (Ajax Arrowhawk) that was PMed to me, yep.
Thanks so much for all the applications, guys. At the moment I'm still talking with the existing table about whether we've got enough steam to keep playing-- I would hate to approve any one (or two) of you, only to have a game sputter out on you. Applications are now closed, and I will try and have a solid answer for y'all within 24 hours.
Nolan, I think we can work something out if I wind up taking not-Gambit, but I'll reserve that until I know for sure who I'm taking.
