Sigvard Ingvarsson |

"A prophet has ever reflected
In the magical crystal ball
They will bring here the wonderful future and the brilliant hope
When we won the domination,
Do you remember this promise
We meet each together on the top of this hill."
Sigvard frowns slightly. "Not really in keeping with the situation, really. Here, ugly, have a spear while I think of something better." He steps towards Spanglefang and stabs at her.

Sigvard's song of a brilliant future certainly aids his aim. Spanglefang's legs tense as his spear drives deep, not only injuring the spider, but encouraging Kendall as well.

Urgog is now no longer slowed.

Kendall keeps up the pressure on Urgog, clouting the upstart king on the jaw, and courageously ignoring his own growing wounds.
Spanglefang's eyes gleam as she looks at Varis and Kendall, greed seeming to overwhelm her judgement.
"Courage, my kind," she calls, jetting more poison over the wolfman and the knight. Kendall's armour is no match for the seeping poison, but Varis dodges the attack.

Luce Winterscliffe |

Luce growls at the spider, the foul creature of unnatural origin, a cruel mockery of nature and with a twisted persona to match. She tries to nip at its legs, pushing it backwards.
Then she shimmers back into the young woman and nods to the others. "I'll git round t' side o' crawlie." Luce plucks a sharp spider leg hair from her lip, and rushes off.

Varis Shepherd |

Sorry, I was looking and can't find it. Standing in the webs I'm in, is there a hindrance or a roll to avoid it? Also, I cannot shift in the red square, but I can shift out of it right?

Varis Shepherd |

Varis has a tough decision, between the heavily injured spider, and the goblin. In the end, it is his somewhat protective stance towards the impetuous lass that helps his decision. He focuses the protective nature of his cloak to avoid harm, before leaping over the rough stones to land beside the creature.
Minor action, activate cloak, gain resist 5 to all damage until EOMNT.
Move action, Great Leap, 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 Ugh, but since he's treated as having a running start, and only jumping 1 square (to J7), he's good.

Varis, stumbles as he lands, causing his swing to go wide. In his anger he slashes wildly back at the large vermin, connecting at the thing's back as it faced Luce.

Rev DM |

Edited to match Varis' edit
Working to protect Luce and give her as much advantage as he can, Varis leaps towards Spanglefang and hopes. Hope is not enough, however and his blade glances off her. She looks disdainfully at the elf.
"Tasty elves should not try to make me into their breakfast," she purrs. She speaks too soon, as Varis takes advantage of her disdain to drive his weapon deep into her. Shocked and in pain, Spanglefang leaps clear.
Activates her teleport.
High above, Caine battles with the approaching goblins, keeping them away from Vondal.
Urgog, alight with battle lust, lunges at Kendall again, seemingly unaware that Spanglefang is getting the worst of her own battle.

Not sure what to do. Kendall has already used his Second Wind, and I've no more "charges" in my aura. Ah well, swat the spider and worry not.
"In the glorious tone of the bell,
Wines to the chariots
Let's drink 'til midnight in the circle of steel
At the top of that fortress,
The mighty flag flutters
Look at the mountainside, a rainbow is making a bridge."
Sigvard, blood humming in his ears, pursues Spanglefang. "No running away now, have a taste of Ringbiter to toast the ravens."

Edit: Crit! Damage is 13 + 1d6 ⇒ 13 + (1) = 14 from the attack, plus 5 thunder damae and Spanglefang is granting CA teomnt.

Kendall Steelshod |

The swing from Urgog hurt Kendall worse than he let on. Flustered and wounded, he manages a half-hearted"No stronger mettle than...a..."
The knight then passes out, falling to his knees, still clutching his weapon as if to prop himself up.

Sigvard song rings around the chamber and his well-attested animosity to Spanglefang shows itself in all its glory. One blow from Ringbiter is all it takes to fell the fey arachnid. She crumples, leaving Urgog agog with dismay as he is trapped by the webbing. The self-proclaimed goblin King has some consolation as Kendall slumps to the ground, but his demeanour has changed with the death of the spider.

Unfortunately as it's an after-effect I think it's only when Urgog falls. If he fell from that attack Kendall gets 7HP if it's later 2HP. Maybe, unless it's only if he (Urgog) falls from the power and the SE damage - I was going to retrain at some point as it seems pretty meh. {Power from PHB2}

Varis uses his elven speed to step out of the dangerous terrain, and encircles it, even slogging his way through the thick webbing to get to Urgog. Varis flaps ineffectually, but manages at last to shrug aside the pain of his wounds. Trapped on the cliff, Vondal decides to help the greater good and allows Sigvard to channel power from him.
Vondal is sacrificing his turn to Aid Sigvard, giving him a +2 to his next attack.
Caine takes avantage of the abrupt demoralisation of the goblins holding him, bellowing at them to get into line. As they break away from him, he turns back to help the stricken knight.

Aware that his main support has vanished, Urgog aims for the higher ground and the more tempting target of Vondal. He backs slowly up the wall.

Luce carries on climbing up the wall to the top as she gets there she smiles at the King. "'Ey up, get back down with with your subjects." she blows him an icy kiss. Luce pounces up the wall, tearing at Urgog's legs. She yanks the would-be monarch back to the ground, dropping him at Kendall's feet, even as the steely knight returns to the land of the living. Luce's dog-self snarls a warning as Urgog blusters and scrabbles for his weapon.

Varis is excited to see the goblin in a precarious situation, as it makes his job just a little easier. He sheathes his sword, and takes a step back while firing the bow he still carried in his off-hand. With the goblin 'king' hanging dazed on the rope, he is able to focus his aim.
