Trevor Horton
Oh. Trevor shrugs.
Sorry, it sounded like you needed to say something for some reason. Didn't you say something about busting cell phones at the house we almost met at? Could you just short some circuitry in his bike?
Levi Parana
"I could have shorted the bikes circuits but how long might it have been before he found out? Not to mention he wouldn't be able to drive it to the shop to get it fixed. I think he might be angry that his bike is dinged, but he definitely doesn't seem to care about getting it fixed today. That is to say, unless he is looking up garages nearby that can bang a dent out."
Trevor Horton
My folks are huskers from Iowa. I'm not worried about that.
Trevor starts to make his way back.
If we're gonna wait, let's wait somewhere we can "listen in" as it were. He taps his temple twice.

SCENE 14 - Outside the theater
While standing outside nominally deciding on what movie to watch, Levi, Trevor and Gothic start walking back to the Matador. There's no where to sit near the Matador except the cafe and rooftop. There are a few small local businesses, like a dry cleaner, butcher, convenience store nearby.
DM Jubal
SCENE 13 - Staking out the Matador
Before the troop returns to the stake out. Katie watches the two errand boys and Beard exit the front door and casually make their way to the van. Beard sits shotgun with the older errand boy driving. The junior errand boy jumps in the side door. They start driving away.
Katie "Kestral" Mestral
Katie texts the others.
Beard and two dweebs just left. Why the hell you go 3 miles away to wait? Hurry back now!
She grunts in disgust, wondering why they went so far away. She debates going in herself, but she's not sure if there are any innocent bystanders in there, the same thing that's kept her out before...
_Gothic
Trailing after the other two as if she wasn't with them, Gothic stops and pulls out her phone to read the text she just received. She rolls her eyes and taps out a quick response.
::Headed back now::
Then she stuffs her phone back inside her jacket pocket and walks, head down, in the direction of the Matador.
DM Jubal
I'm going to pause before Trevor opens the front door for you to interact with Katie. When you're ready, we'll go forward.
Two video gamers playing in the back room. Enzo is in his office.
_Gothic
Gothic continues walking past the group and the front of the bar, not registering them at all. She comes to a stop at the street corner that is rapidly becoming her usual hangout spot.
Without looking in their direction, the trio hears in their heads, ::Five inside. Barkeeper, two people being stupid, two in the back playing video games, and Enzo in his office::
Katie "Kestral" Mestral
"Any innocent bystanders? Any special people?" Katie asks, twirling a dart between her fingers. Her gloves are made of silk with a light coating of rubber on the contact surfaces, fingers and palm. "Everyone got their wigs on with hair tucked in? Finger prints covered? Can't leave DNA around if we go in..." She looks at Trevor and Levi. "Door or back wall?" She asks, one eyebrow raised. "Gothy watching for Beard to come back?"
Levi Parana
"Six people in close proximity to what we want to search, ie the office, is difficult to sneak around without a distraction. Trevor and dart girl you two up for causing a distraction? I can snag a lot of information on my video camera and get out of there hopefully before they realize that's what we are after. Mind girl can keep us all informed on comings and goings or if they plan to do anything that will cause us problems."
Katie "Kestral" Mestral
Katie smiles. "Sure, I can make a distraction..." Her smile turns to an impish grin. "How about you, muscle man? Do you think you can make a big distraction?" She pauses. "You realize, these guys are going to be armed with pistols at least. You gotta take 'em down fast and hard, or they'll put a bullet through you..."
Trevor Horton
Yeah, no cops is probably better. Let's do this.
Trevor walks over to the door, waits for Katie to come up behind him, and then opens and walks in, ready to drop if someone pulls a gun.

SCENE 15 - Entering the Matador's den again
Round 1
Levi heads around into position.
Trevor walks over to the door, waits for Katie to come up behind him, and then opens and walks in, ready to drop if someone pulls a gun.
The barkeep's expression darkens when he sees Trevor. He collects and quickly taps his smartphone bringing it to his ear. "Sh!t. He's back with another girlfriend. Take it easy." He says as much to the two young kids as much to Trevor, because it's too quick for the phone connection to have been made.
There are two young gang members on stools at the bar when you arrive. They both cautiously stand each with one hand on a pistol in their waistbands.
Katie "Kestral" Mestral
Katie casually flicks a dart at the phone...
Attack: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11 x4 = 44
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8 x4 = 32
...the dart pierces the cell phone, and shatters it against the wall behind the bartender.
"Now now, no need to be calling Beard... We just want to have a nice talk with you guys... how much property damage gets done in the talk is up to you... Now, you three are way too stupid to be in charge, so call for whoever is, so we can talk... unless you'd rather play 'pin the dart on the moron'." She smiles sweetly.
Given the rolls, I assume that would accurately describe what happens to the phone...
_Gothic
Gothic's eyebrow twitches at how fast the crazy one dealt with the phone. She decides to hold off on doing anything at the moment; cell phones were different than land lines so there might not be any response from the bartender's call. She blows out a puff of air that mists into a cloud in front of her as she waits, shivering.
DM Jubal
Yes Levi, I would like a post from you even if you're waiting for a signal.
SCENE 15 - Entering the Matador's den again
Round 2
"Suit yourself." the barkeep replies to Katie. Then, he yells, "Enzo, the hero is back! With another girlfriend! She busted my phone!"
Seconds later, two more young punks enter the bar from the back door.
Katie "Kestral" Mestral
Katie shrugs. "I'm good with either one, but if you don't ask the right questions, I reserve the right to be pissy and not put out tonight sweetie." She tells Trevor and hikes one hip up on the pool table, taking a few pool balls off the table and begins to juggle them. "Oh, and to ask my own questions... of course..." She looks at the gangers brightly. "Which of you is Enzo... or is he afraid to come out and talk to a jock and a pretty girl?"
DM Jubal
SCENE 15 - the Matador's den again
Round 3
"Enzo's not here. The bar is closed. Leave." the barkeep replies to Katie. He's mad and forcing himself to be calm and to not use colorful expressions, which clearly challenges his vocabulary.
The four punks furtively glance at one of the barkeep's hands that is flat on the bar. They are itching for a fight but appear restrained by orders of some kind, like trained dogs.
Trevor Horton
Trevor is beyond incredulous.
You literally just called for Enzo a sentence ago. Are you a goldfish? Because either you forgot he left, or you forgot that you called to him. Do you have a supervisor we should be talking to?
Katie "Kestral" Mestral
Katie begins juggling her pool balls. "What you mean is, Enzy isn't going to come out while you can handle it..."
She flicks the the 8-ball negligently...
1st Hit: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 + 1d6 ⇒ 1 + 1d6 ⇒ 6 9 the hard way, 9x4 = 36
...and the 8-ball caromes off the shoulder of one of the lackeys...
Damage: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 3, 4) = 18
1nd hit: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6 6x4 = 24
...bounces off the wall and richochets off the back of the second punk's head...
Damage: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 2, 5) = 17
3rd Hit: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7 7x4 = 28
...slams into the gut of the 3rd flunky...
damage: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 1, 6, 6) = 17
4th hit: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3 3x4 = 12
...and narrowly misses the fourth doofus before slamming into the juke box's speaker. She sighs. "I thought he had more muscles..." She comments to Trevor, motioning at the third flunky. "Misjudged the rebound off his stomach, guess he's been sucking his gut in to make himself look better." She turns to the bartender. "Now, do we get to talk to Enzy or do I see how many times I can bounce a ball off your skull and the wall?" The remaining pool balls continue to dance and spin in her hands.
